An overturned Semi truck forces the 15 freeway to be closed at 3 AM... I show up to this She'll service station with a flat tire on my Porsche no spare with my car.... Walk in asked for help owner and his wife come out pull my tire off attempt the fix .... Too much tire damage ... Wife calls everyone she knows in the middle of the night looking for a 20inch tire no luck.... They helped me for an hour and charged me nothing...... Wonderful people I promise to stop EVERYTIME I go to and from Vegas. AAA shows up tows me to Dealer in Vegas. It was a scorching day and I understand they need to make a profit but it was super overpriced... as if regular inflation weren't enough. If I could give this place 0 stars I would. My girlfriend was trying to use the restroom and one of the men that work there walked in. I know it wasn't a mistake because they were smiling and being weird. The bathrooms were disgusting and had multiple flies in the toilet bowl. It reeked and the guys there were very weird. This place was horrible. I had to pee and there was nowhere else to stop. Both toilets in the women's bathroom were clogged and did not work to flush. It is extremely dirty and the owners seem like they truly do not care. I was truly appalled at how disgusting this place was. Restroom break so I pulled over in a very shady area that has nothing that one shell station regardless I went in and surprisingly the restroom was pretty clean except there was no toilet covers and everything from gas to drinks and snacks is inflated in price :/ good employee bad for our wallet lol read more

WOW diesel was $3.79 a gallon and we paid $2.15 in Bakersfield........ Hmmm price gouging on the highway I think so. Although I know they may have to be somewhat higher because they're just a lonely little station alongside the highway on the way to Vegas but maybe if you were a little more decent priced you'd get more business. Driving down a two-lane strip of the 15 freeway towards Las Vegas, lies this seemingly desolate Shell gas station. I believe it was strategically placed here, tricking you into believing that this may be the only chance you'd get to fill up your gas tank or empty your bladder for several miles. When we exited and reached the station, we saw there were several others that fell victim to their trickery. Thank goodness our gas tank was already 3/4 full and had only stopped here because my fiancé's daughter needed to use the restroom. There was already a long line of female victims waiting to use the one-stall restroom that was available. The other Yelp reviews weren't kidding. The gas prices here shot through the roof! Please don't be fooled too. If you can make it, drive just a few miles more to the Baker Street exit, where the gas is about 40-50 cents less and food and snacks are cheaper. Gas is really expensive (4.75 a gallon when gas is $3.40 a gallon back in Bakersfield) Restrooms are filthy, one of the two toilets in the ladies room wouldn't flush, and there was a long line to wait in before getting to experience all of this excitement. On the entertaining side, the vending dispenser in the ladies room not only dispensed female items, but also a "pleasure kit" involving oils, stimulating ring, and various "gloves" for your "love. I was thought in business about Supply and Demand, so if you don't stop off at Barstow to gas up because you think you can make it to Vegas where the gas is cheaper and you hesitate for a second on topping off, then you pay the going rate out in the middle of now where! For me I haven't fueled up at this place, but did stop by a few times just to get some snack when there is traffic on the way back/to Vegas. This is one of the few stops there is on the way from LA to Vegas. Gas is pretty expensive, the gas station is pretty dirty and messy and do not even think about the restrooms. There is only porter potties here, which would make sense but its so yucky. I really really really had to go though so I was a little glad to have found this stop. If your driving from San Jose, Ca in a Prius, your gas tank will be zero right around here. I told my husband to fill up in Barstow but of course he wanted to see how far we can go on one tank. After being on E for 20 miles I was sweating bullets and told him to go here.. NOW! I doubt we would have made it to Baker 14 more miles away. Ok I get it supply and demand. I cant hate on the owner for jacking up the prices to $5 a gallon. However at least have running water! For a gas station in the middle of nowhere, there is a little too much Haterade being sipped towards the few people that actually need to visit it for automotive or bodily purposes. Passerbys are welcomed with signage that reads, "CUSTOMERS ONLY" or "KEEP OUT," the latter being the chained entrance to what looks like an auto shop adjacent to the convenience store. Personally, I'm not well-versed in gas station operations, but it just seems like better business sense to welcome as many people in as possible in an effort to attract paying individuals rather than swatting them off before they've even pulled their wallets out. Especially when there is no competition for MILES around. Let's be real: if it came down to a bag of hot Cheetoes and using el bano, it looks like my sodium intake will be under control for that day. I'd give it another star but the bathroom was the most disgusting thing you can go in on the way to Vegas unless you get off the 138 at cajon pass at del taco and use there out houses those are probably the worst lol. On the way to Vegas from LA we got a flat tire at 3am. The spare had little air in it. This shell station, open all night was the closest place for us to go. Not only did they have air to fill the spare but their garage was also open and they remounted the regular tire to the rim in a matter of minutes. Like Jesus resurrected from the grave we were back on the road within 5 minutes. Had the gas station sold cigarettes this would have been a five star review. This is a gas station in the middle of the desert on I 15 (exit 245 I believe) on the way from Southern California to Las Vegas. Stopped in low on gas on 7/9/11 and saw price for gas was $5.099 per gallon. Was going to leave but it is on the way to Vegas and didn't know where the next station was and it was 100 plus degrees and I had dogs and family in the car. I asked the guy inside why so high and was everyone around here so high and he said yes-everyone charges this much. I filled up reluctantly. Next town on I 15 going east (10 minutes away) had numerous gas stations and fast food (we ate there) and all stations were under $4 per gallon (including Shell). Ripped off for $1 to $1.50 per gallon for 18.5 gallons or about $25. I don't mind a little premium but this is direct rip off for those who don't know the deal (and they lie about it). Drive to the next exit (going towards Vegas or east) or fill up in Vegas if you are heading west. read more

Rasor Road Shell. You'll never find a more wretched fuel station of scum and villainy. Gas price was a full dollar over typical prices, the restroom had no paper towels or working air dryer, the door is positioned to hit you just standing at the sink, the ladies room I was told had no seat over the toilet (along with no paper towels as well). The pump didn't even allow a full fill up - only up to $50 - which didn't fill us up; I suppose that's a mercy, realizing their 5.09 for regular was already literal highway robbery. Stopped at this gas station just to put gas and use the restroom, on our way to Vegas and decided to stock up on snacks and alcohol last minute. We bought few cases of beer and Manu gave me a great deal on the last bottle of the vodka I wanted. I had a lot of bags and my friends and I carrying them to our car. 30 seconds later Manu comes running out to give me the bottle of vodka I very much wanted and had somehow forgotten it at the counter. Not only did Manu give great customer service, but he went out of his way to chase me down before my friends and I took off to give me the bottle I had forgotten.
