Went here to pump air in tires. After putting in money no air come out. Attendant said it doesn't work and that it wasn't his problem and he won't reimburse. SCAM!!! VOID THIS LOCATION! Machine will show gas pumping and charge you BUT hardly any gas actually fills. I thought I was going crazy the first time it happened so I didn't say anything a took a $10 loss. But again the same thing happened last night so I went today morning to complain since the worker last night was confused and his "first day." I walked in and the "manager" gave me the biggest attitude and laughed at me like I'm making shit up. I wouldn't waste my time over this, I even let it slide once. He tried to tell me $10 doesn't fill much in a car. Are you stupid? I fill my car daily, I know $10 isn't much but it's more than 30 miles (what my car showed was filled). So I told him, "then why is the out of service sign on that pump?" He said it just broke. Lmfao. Na fool, it's been broken! You're just a lazy ass worker. Finally the "owner" stepped in and said sorry about that I'll put $15 for you for free. So this place does not deserve ANY business whatsoever, and if I can steer one person away from here, I think I've done my good deed of the decade, and I've helped build a house for Habitat for Humanity and donated thousands to charity! So back in 2009, I just started a job after a layoff and had no money, and even had to borrow $20 just to get home. I throw all of it on 3, the guy turns on pump 4. I try to pump gas, but I think this guy had an inside job because before I can figure out WTF was going on, someone pulled into pump 4 and pumped it all away, and the manager refused to let me borrow the phone to even call the cops and think I'm lying. When I confronted him about the incident, he even said "this place is going out of business soon anyway so I don't care."... Even worse? Corporate says it's a franchise and they don't want to get involved, and the police even rejected my report. Fast forward to recently: Not only is the place NOT shut down, I hoped that this place was under new management. Wrong. Instead of going in and paying by credit, I try using the wrong ZIP 3 times since I just moved and even made a typo, so it enacted a hold against the entire balance, so I tossed in the $8.47 in cash I had left to just get home, then saw about $0.15 in the take-a-penny-leave-a-penny tray. Instead of letting this tiny amount go, he grabs ALL my change and tosses it in there, and refuses to let me touch it. Greed is sure rampant here and I'd avoid this place like the plague! read more

If gas wasn't a necessity, I wouldn't have to come here so much. It's not the price or the people working here, it's the infrastructure of this location. Not only is this Shell located on a the corner of two busy streets (Garfield Ave and Valley Blvd), but it is so tiny and easing in and out is such an arse. There's about 8 stations, 4 on each side. They also have a service center making it even more tightly nit together. Darn you, Shell, for being conveniently located between my house and the freeway. read more

I come here twice a week or so, it's right around the corner from my house. Unfortunately I don't have much to say. Typical gas station, they have gas, a small mechanics shop, and area with all the junk food we all love and crave and hate. They're open 24 hours which is cool. They currently have a promo going with Ralph's where you can earn $ off the per gallon price by shopping at Ralph's. I shop at Ralph's often so it make things simple. Every cashier I've dealt with has been friendly. It's kind if cramped sometimes when trying to get gas but that's not their fault, good gas brings people in and not all those people can drive.. :) aaaand they're located on the corner of the two busiest streets in Alhambra (probably) Garfield and Valley. read more

The clerk at this shell must really hate his job. I pulled into this shell because I needed to send an emergency text msg. There are no regular parking spots so instead of taking up space at one of the filling station, I decided to pull into the handicap parking. I was in the vehicle the whole time, no one else needed the spot, and I only needed a few minutes. The clerk must have made it his life mission to make enemies and piss off potential customers since he felt obligated to come out and contront me and force me to leave. The worst gas station I have been to. I would give zero star if I can. This morning, I stopped by at this gas station. I went in to pay for the gas since I had a one time fuel reward card. No greeting from this blond curly hair female hispanic cashier. I asked for forty dollar worth gas for my station and she asked for my id which I provided. As she was processing my credit card, there was an issue with the machine, so it took a while, no big deal. When it was processed, I said thank you but she didnt thank me back. Ok, maybe she was having a bad day. I went out to pump my gas. Gas pump stopped after 17 dollar worth of gas. I tried to pump manually but it stopped four times. So I put the pump back and went in to go see the cashier. She had my receipt ready. I told her that the pump is stopping and I need to pump more. She just said "this is your receipt and it's your fault to put the pump back". WHAT?? I told her there is an issue with the machine or there is no gas. She said there is no problem with the machine and literally kicked me out. I tried to explain what was going on and she cut me off (no eye contact whatsoever) saying its my fault. What the heck? The lady behind me also had an issue with her pump and was complaining which tells me there is problem. The cashier was also giving this lady attitude. Today, I wasted my precious time and a fuel reward card which saves me 50 cents per gallon which is huge because of this stupid ignorant cashier. Thank you for ruining my day. I think they have the worst mechanic guy. I went to their auto service to have the tire pressure check on my Subaru Forester. When this asian mechanic guy checked the tire pressure, he said it was at 32 Psi. He advised me to add pressure to make at 40 Psi. I was shocked and refused because I know that my Subaru Psi shd be up to 34 only. I'm not a mechanic but I know better than him. He insisted and he got mad when I refused. He has such bad character. I think he wants to put 40 Psi on my tires so it will blew out then I go back to him to fix it so he can make money out of me. The worst mechanic I've ever encountered in my life.
