Amongst the gas stations in this short area of Rose Hill/Franconia, this Shell is one of the easiest ones to access. Pumps run somewhat slowly. On this visit, I filled up my tank and decided to purchase an upgraded car wash. There were a total of 5 cars in front of me in line, so I thought that meant the car wash would be great. Well, it took 40 minutes before my turn, and the car wash barely washed my car (and left plenty of dirt), which I reasonably expected to be gone. Can't win them all. Yes the car wash isn't the best. Yet please remember the price you are paying. It's nothing special, but it's not like going to a high end spot. What matters to me most is gas prices. Inflation isn't fun. Here it's a cinch to pull in. Pumps generally are easy to find. Okay rush hour can be interesting, but same time that's everywhere. Folks who work here are polite. It's a clean station and also well illuminated. Pretty competitive prices and not far from Springfield Town Center. read more

Revamped but the manager has a crappy attitude and a terrible way of talking to customers. Came in tell them that their car wash dryer timer cuts off with :40 seconds remaining on the clock. The wash also did not clean the sides of my vehicle. He said it's not meant to, that's it's not a hand wash. Um, yeah, I get that it doesn't hand wash your car but it still should clean the sides otherwise, what the heck is it for? He was rude in his way he talked to me and when I asked about going through it again he just gave excuses as to my expectations going through their car wash. What the heck?! This car wash didn't fully rinse my car. Waste of $15. The car wash is located at the Shell gas station. It's a pretty convenient location. I thought I would swing by after going shopping at Best Buy to get a quick car wash. Now I have to go home and rinse it down or rewash it. Not cool. read more

I wish I could give this place negative stars. They ran out of gas and argued when me and other patrons told them there was no gas. The kept saying there is gas and then checked for them selves and realized there was no gas. Then they had the audacity to say there is no 87 so I tried the 89 and there was also no gas. They kept talking between them selves saying there's no 87 as I continued to say and 89! We all had to go back to the counter to get a refund. They had an attitude about it. Not once did they apologize or at least say okay. They have horrible manors. The worst gas station ever. read more

I hate to go against the earlier review, as it seems valid. But as of now, the gas price is 1-cent more than the two stations next door. But with a 5-cent/gallon discount for cash payment, not only is it cheapest on the block, but cheaper than even the Amerigo three blocks west (well known for cheapest gas in Springfield). Pulled into the station this morning at 9am to gas up before work and all pumps were being blocked by unattended service vehicles. The onsite attendant watched me wait for approximately 5 to 7 minutes and offered no assistance. I pulled off in amazement and frustration with the lack of concern and customer service. Please be careful in using your credit cards at this gas station. After stopping by to get gas one morning, I noticed that my card was not going in properly into the credit card slot. Thinking it was just me not paying attention, I tried again by slightly moving my card down and went on to follow the screen prompts to buy gas. I got to a screen where it was asking me to do something to get a discount. I didn't want it, and I canceled the transaction. I tried again, and this time, the pump just wouldn't let me. So, I decided to go to another station. When I got to work and checked my email, my credit card company alerted me that I had been charged $95.00 at this Shell station. No way I can fill up my little sedan for $95! Ridiculous. Beware, which I should have done when I first noticed that my card wouldn't go in the credit card slot. read more

These Guys are HORRID. I HAD been going here for years...my whole Family HAD been. I USED to use their car wash. Then I went one day to wash my car--paid $15 for the MAX and got --- just water....and that is it. So I complained about it to the one of the workers...and he accused me of lying. Even having shown him my car----and despite the fact I was in and out in under 2 min...which meant the car wash malfunctioned. We actually fought verbally over it--him accusing me of lying, and me asking WHY I would waste my time lying over that..... Bottom line is--no refund. I would NOT get your gas from here. Or car washed. This was the WORST service EVER. And you have 3 gas stations in a row to choose from. Choose one of the other 2 and get your car washed some place where they have some real ethics. read more

I came to this location earlier today in a pretty bad mood and wanted to exchange my propane tank for another one since the one I was returning seemed to have a leak (it had a smell and sound when I connected it to my grill). At first the the gentleman who waited on me explained that all propane tanks were in good working condition and there could be no leak. I was very irritated and was going to leave. He handled the situation with professionalism and represented your company very well. Kabir, I believe was the gentleman's name, stated he was new to the job. I have been doing business at this location for over 4 years now and because of his calm and professional demeanor when I was upset, you now have a life-long customer for this location. Kabir acted in a very customer-friendly manner and should be commended for his professionalism and how he represented your company. read more

Do NOT BUY PROPANE FROM THIS STATION!!! For years I have been buying my propane tanks at this gas station. Two days ago I went and exchanged 2 propane tanks. When I brought them home, I hooked one up to my propane heater out on the deck. Immediately, there was a hissing sound and the gas was leaking. Thinking it may have been my heater, I tried on my grill and it did the same thing. To be sure, I tried tried the second tank (that I bought at the same time) and hooked it up on both my heater and my grill and it worked great. So, I went back to the station to get a good tank yesterday and was told to come back today to see the manager so I went back to the gas station just a little while ago. I cannot explain how upset I am. The manager looked at me when I explained what happened with a look that I cannot describe. He looked at me like I was trying to scam them. He insisted it is empty and said "I WILL NOT EXCHANGE THIS"!! I just came home and weighed it and it weighs 32 lbs. Full it weighs 39 lbs. The 7 lbs was obviously lost when it leaked!. As I tried to explain again, that I did not understand how that could be, all he could do is look at me in contempt as if to insinuate I was trying to take advantage. I am so upset. I will be calling corporate and the AmeriGas company. I will be passing the information on to my friends in the neighborhood. Terrible customer service! read more
