She greets you when you arrive and is available for anything you need. There is a fully equipped communal kitchen for the use of the lodgers. The little garden courtyard is beautiful and peaceful and hosts the largest saguaro cactus I've ever seen. The artwork throughout the rooms and gardens is charming and interesting and even includes lovely artistic interpretations of local petroglyphs. And about 10 miles to the west, arising improbably out of the barren desert like a mirage, is a family owned Indian restaurant with great food! I really enjoyed my two stays at this delightful place and I hope it continue to thrive as a quiet lovely oasis in the midst of the desert.

My husband and I kept trying to call and make a reservation to get in for a reservation for a private area to soak in the hot springs for almost a week, but were unable to reach anyone. This area is located off of the main highway, but close by and tucked away. Definitely had a rustic feel with rv/camping option. When we checked in, we talked to the staff and were told the day rate is $40 otherwise hourly is $10/hr. We ended up showing up a little after 10am on a Sunday and although there were no private areas available, we took a tour of the facilities--Desert Pete's area. The group bathing area was nude only. There were 2 cold tubs, 3 hot water tubs and 2 communal tubs. The water running into each of the tubs was full of minerals and from the neighboring hot springs. In the communal areas, clothing is required, but within the bathing areas, clothing isn't required. There were also 2 areas with a hammock and lounge chairs to just hang out and relax. There were also benches and seating scattered around to put your things down. Prior to getting into the tub for soaking, you need to rinse off at the showers included. There were 2 adjacent to the hot springs tubs. Definitely worth another trip out there and we felt more refreshed and relaxed after the soak. The people we encountered were nice and friendly too. My room had a beautiful view of the Colorado River, complete with a full patio and seating--such a nice bonus. The room itself was big, spacious, and very comfortable. Coffee and tea were provided, and housekeeping cleaned the room daily, which was fantastic. Service throughout the hotel was excellent. A couple of things to note: there is no Wi-Fi in the rooms--only available in the lobby--and the pool was closed for remodeling during my stay. There is a small but cozy exercise room, and parking was plentiful. Dining options were great. BlueWater Grill is perfect for casual snacks and breakfast (opens at 7am), while River Willow has a more upscale feel and is excellent for dinner with friends or family. Overall, a great stay with excellent service, plenty of parking, and even free RV parking that can accommodate large rigs. Cheers!

Yes, it was flanked by the freeway on side and a street on the other, but you know this when you check in so don't act like it is a surprise. There is also no elevator to go upstairs, but let's be honest, if you are staying here it isn't like you are planning on a week long vacation where you need 5 bags.
