This morning during my three hour commute, my car sustained some superficial damage because of debris left from an accident that happened in front of me on the highway. I watched as my hub caps came flying off (two came off!) and my tire pressure light came on. Luckily nothing major happened to my car but I had two more hours left on the road. I pulled off to the side, noticed the superficial, and decided I needed to get my car seen before I continued on with my trip. Checked for the nearest car shop and prayed as I drove to it that I'd make it. I did and I'm really glad. I explained to the tech at the front whah had happened and though he warned me that it may take a while for my car to be seen I was good to go in no time and my car was good to drive. Im writing this right after making it to my destination! Seriously, excellent service. I'm so grateful. I could've easily been taken advantage of with my lack of knowledge but instead they just helped me get back on the road. They checked my car, made sure it was safe, and wished me a safe trip back. This is also higher than what they had quoted me a few months ago ($800-$900), which they could not find in their system. I guess the old bait and switch worked as I had to get the brakes done. After realizing we were only a block away, we decided to walk to the Midas location to ask for assistance. From the moment we walked in and spoke with Brie, the level of care we received was nothing short of extraordinary. After I explained our situation--traveling with my wife, her father, and my mother-in-law--Brie, Chris, and Jeremy (the manager) immediately jumped into action. They went far beyond "good customer service" and truly acted as our guardian angels. Here is how they helped us: Brie quickly sourced the correct replacement tire from a nearby shop. Jeremy and Chris loaded a car jack into Jeremy's personal vehicle and drove me back to our van. They helped remove the flat tire and drove me back to the shop. Jeremy then personally drove to pick up the new tire, and Chris expertly installed it onto the rim. Finally, they drove back to our location at a nearby 7-Eleven, where they installed the new tire on our rental van right there in the parking lot. I had a very different experience from their Falls Church location and boy was this experience stellar!! My service representative was Cesar Urquiza (although the sign on his desk says Cesar Sanchez... shrug). From the moment I dropped off my MDX for a belt and tire repair, Cesar made me feel at ease. He reassured me that my car would be in great hands. He kept in touch with me throughout the repair process. He called and texted me and gave me updates for both the progress and cost. I felt the mechanics did a thorough inspection of my car and alerted me to some repairs I would need to consider in the future. The process was seamless and Cesar arranged for me to get a ride to and from my house and then also secured my loaner when I realized the repair would take longer than a day. KRA provides a "taxi" service for those who live within a 5 mile radius and their loaners are clean and newer models. Almost made me consider buying a new one but I hold on to my MDX for sentimental reasons. I'm already planning my next maintenance to be serviced by KRA and Cesar. The quick and honest recommendations are greatly appreciated! The cost were inline with other area shops and knowing that I would get "genuine" parts was comforting. Thanks KRA and Cesar!!
