[As now, it never will be mine] ~ We visited this Food Lion on Saturday, November 12, 2022, in Rural Hall, NC, my husband, my sister and I experienced a lack of customer service and professionalism from one employee. We were very disappointed with the lack of care for a mistake that was in Food Lion's hands, and we were simply trying to get the price right as seen on the shelf, we were hurried and treated as though we were wrong for wanting to double-check and reassure them that we were not making up the price that we had seen. The lady decided to price the items over what we told her we saw the items priced on the shelf. ~ Unfortunately, the lady we spoke to, found it very odd that we wanted to hold the store accountable for the price shown on the shelf and no one from the staff took a minute to go and check out the prices that the items were priced on the shelf, my husband even went to the items and took a picture of the label prices and showed her the correct price and she just stated that since we already paid she couldn't fixed the correct price. * She even spoke in a derogatory way to my sister and it was completely inappropriate and unprofessional, she made my sister feel very uncomfortable and sad. At the end we went to customer service window and waited until a young gentleman came and refunded us the over charge for the items... What a customer service experience we had!!

This Pilot is conveniently located just off I-40/I-85 exit 132 (Mount Hope Church Road) in McLeansville, North Carolina. Having grown up in nearby High Point in the 80s and 90s and regularly traveling back and forth between the Triangle and Atlanta since 2020, I hadn't heard of McLeansville until now. Over about the last couple of years, I've learned that Pilot Flying J (Pilot and Flying J merged in 2009) are the best stops for gas and restroom breaks on the merged stretch of I-40 and I-85 in North Carolina, between the Triad and the Triangle. If anyone knows better, please educate me. On this stretch, there are Pilots at exits 132 (this one in McLeansville), 150 (Haw River), and 152 (Mebane). There's also a Flying J across the street from the Pilot at exit 150. I think the only comparable gas station/truck stop on the same stretch is the TA Travel Center at exit 138 (Whitsett). I'll probably have left Yelp reviews for each of these places before our time in the Triangle is up. I-40 overlaps with I-85 between I-40 exits 227 and 259. In between those exits, the I-85 exit numbers, 131 to 163, prevail. This Pilot is situated close to the west end of the overlap, near Greensboro. Relatively speaking, this Pilot in McLeansville is spacious, clean, and well-stocked. It's no QuikTrip, RaceTrac, or Love's, but it's one of the closest things you'll find to those brands around here. My four-star rating is relative to the area. I counted 14 pumps at the filling station. There are Dunkin' and Wendy's fast food restaurants on-site. This is Pilot Travel Center store #7937. It's open 24/7.

Harris teeter here had sharp edges under shelving so in reaching for an item with no upper clearance, it tore my skin and cut me. They said they were unaware of the situation and denied me any compensation. How are they conducting health department and Dept of Agriculture inspection requirements and not know? Truth is they couldn't be and not be aware of the split, broken and sharp metal from damage, as well as filth. This is a classic example how a large regional grocery chain doesn't take responsibility for situations like these. If they don't know that numerous sharp pieces of metal are sticking out in ways that can injure people when they peruse vegetables, how exactly are they handling their produce? It sickens me that these stores are managed like this. There are too many sporas etc. now this kind of stuff. Found the shelving was also filthy. Some of these stores follow rules designed to protect us. Harris Teeter? "We didn't know there was a problem." I still have a scar center forearm. Looks horrible. Wish I could post pics of the conditions there and on my arm. Didn't find this at Publix, Lowe's Foods, Lidles, Aldi, Lowe's Foods or Whole Foods. To avoid a lawsuit from these jokers, this is my opinion only. I make my statements only to help the public understand the importance of store safety and proper required inspections and I didn't find it here.

Clean and stocked, after washing my hands it was an easy choice to hit the green button to indicate that I was satisfied with the state of the restroom. The rest of the store was also in great shape. Coffee station was clean and stocked. I decided to grab a second coffee here and it was fabulous.
