Sheetz is the same everywhere, it's a convenience store with made-to-order hot food, clean bathrooms, gas, plenty of drinks (alcohol and regular) cold salads/fruit cups/snacks/candy and more. They're open 24/7, including holidays. Prices are higher, but it's there when nothing else is open.

This Sheetz gas station lay on the way from Niagara to DC. I stopped here to fuel up and get some coffee. It is located in a small town in the PA countryside. The convenience store is very well stocked, more so than most gas stations convenience stores I know. Their large assortment of coffee is a big plus. The store and its restrooms were clean and orderly. The line here moved fast, and the locals were very friendly. The gas was reasonably priced, and the stay here was short but comfortable. There is nothing much else to add about this place, other than a very convenient stop along the way.

1 word accurately describes this place... OASIS !!!! Driving from DC to Niagara Falls and back, this gas station / convenience store was a god send. The majority of this route is rural highways and NOT interstate driving. So you don't get any of the creature comforts that rest areas provide you such as gas stations, fast food restaurants, convenience stores, visitors centers, and most importantly BATHROOMS!!! This route is for the rugged truck driver or automotive adventurist looking for a place to exercise and even push the limits of every gear in his car. Punching the gas to pass the big rigs, going down hills using your lower gears (4,3,2,1....not just the ones marked R, N, D) on your automatic, giving your brakes a full workout, flickering your low/high beams, squeezing the life out of your steering wheel for that chance deer encounter or other wildlife for that matter, and bug splattered windshields. All that to say this is a LONG HARD trip, so it's absolutely surprising to see this oasis of a station. The mart is very nice and welcoming, modern and clean, and stocked with a variety of food and snacks. The bathroom is even baby/kid friendly with diaper changing station and child seat in the men's bathroom. My only complaint is there is only 1 toilet stall...but at least it was clean and didn't stink. We actually passed by it, before we decided it was a good idea to turn around and stop by, because we weren't seeing any "rest areas". Thank god we did.

More sodas than imaginable.

I really went out of my way on this detour while heading back home. I wanted something quick…read morewithout having to backtrack to where I was and put Sheetz into my GPS and this was the nearest to me. And I do have to say it wasn't as near as you would think. Getting here was half the battle. I have never been to this area in my life and see why now. It is a bit of a cluster to get here and navigating the lot can be a bit confusing. I'm assuming that Sheetz is at the crossroads in the downtown region of this town. Which is good, that means you will have to pass by here in your travel. Going inside I was was in need of something to drink and use the facilities. I also thought why not get a small snack while inside. It was busy and customers were everywhere. I was able to accomplish all I came here for, except I didn't master one thing, as I rarely use that machine. See, I had bought a lottery ticket, which I don't do often, and it was a winner. According to the kiosk. I was like, great, I'll take it to the register and get my money. Well, I didn't know you had to scan the ticket, get a voucher, and then head to the register. When I was at the register the lady asked me if I knew how to use it, and I was honest and said no. She went out of her way to walk me back to the kiosk and show me how to do it. I thank her for that. She then walked me back to the register and did the transaction for the winning ticket. After that transaction she rang me up for my other items and I was on my way out the door to try and figure out which street I needed to then go down.

It also goes without saying that out this way in Penfield there are not exactly a lot available options for quick-easy grocery items. You basically have this place and a new-ish looking Dollar General right down the road on 255. Past that? Ten plus miles to Sheetz or Wal-Mart in DuBois? Half of the store has snacks and drink coolers and the other half is set up where you could sit and eat from their small restaurant/grill. They also had signs up everywhere about them converting part of the store into a beer cave. Up this way, that will be a big seller. I was looking for firewood (which they have an abundance of outside in front of the store) since the stuff the park was selling was wet and didn't burn nice at all plus some charcoal which this place does not carry (no biggie as the aforementioned Dollar General has a large Kingsford display as soon as you walk in the front door). If you're at Parker Dam, this place isn't too far from the cabins at about five miles and with it being open 24/7 + having gas it really is a convenient place to stop if you're in the area.
