I've utilized the Sheetz a lot in the past year with so many family members in and out of the hospital, mine and my boyfriend's mother. This particular Sheetz is right across from the hospital Bon Secour, Southside Regional, Medical Center. Quick and easy snacks for everyone. A large array of sodas waters etc.. And being a truck stop it seems like the bathrooms are always cleaner when there are truck stops with any service station. They are always well stocked as well. No asking for a bit of tp from the next stall over. And I love it, especially because myself and boyfriend's mother love their tiny little chunk ice. And it's free as long as you buy something and just get a cup of ice to chew on. And don't lecture for me I know it's not good for your teeth, but she and I both love it. Usually mobile orders are high on the completion priority list - but I had to wait a few minutes for my order. Gave me time to inspect things. Easy on and off the interstate. The store was clean ( by store I mean the front and food prep areas) and the employees were friendly. I ordered a maple cinnamon roll shake. I used the touch to order kiosk and saw the picture of the shake. I made no adjustments but to add caffeine. It came out with pumpkin whip cream and lacking some other toppings. Good shake but odd. Now the loss of stars.... Not ok. We questioned everything after seeing the men's restroom. Gross. So gross and no toilet paper. The woman's restroom was not as bad but also no toilet paper. Nice Sheetz on our way home from a family wedding. We stopped in for coffees and snacks late at night (around midnight) on a Sunday and found the place to be buzzing with life. Full stocked snack grab and go items, fresh food was bustling, they had an ice cream machine with soft serve in three flavors, and fresh coffee. read more

I like going back to old posts when possible, I feel a bad review requires a follow up. This is one of them. We went back while driving thru again. The inside walls that were in place during construction were no longer up. The place was cleaner and the food moderately improved, but the place still felt cold. Kinda like when you go into a fast food restaurant in the middle of the day. Not very inviting, but still better. Bathroom was clean. To the owners, I wish you could move the coffee station to the area across from the registers, but I am sure corporate wants the customers to walk all the way into the rear of the place, passing the high priced items. The crowd ropes used to keep lines at the registers seemed to add to the frigid feeling. Like we were numbers in a line, despite the open area by the ordering stations. May I suggest some tables off to the side, for groups to huddle while stretching their legs, before jumping back in the car? It feels awkward moving around while waiting for the food. This Sheetz is a gas station with a drive thru. Not a chain that's in NYC, however due to being an avid traveler I'm familiar with Sheetz. Will say this may be the first I've noticed that has a drive- thru along with a very modern edge. This locations was very well organized and maintained. There is a walk in fridge for adult beverages. They also have indoor as well as outdoor seating, for nice weather, with power stations to charge all of our mobile gadgets. No excuse not to Yelp. Since they do offer made to order foods, I'm going to guess that this is what the drive- thru may be for. However idk if you can add anything else to your order that they may sell. If so that might be interesting. I didn't utilize this oddity bc I simply stopped for gas. So, I'll leave it to a fellow Yelpers to provide those deets. read more

I LOVE LOVE LOVE Sheetz ... if you've traveled anywhere along the roads from TN East you've seen these gas station/grills. I'm from PA, so Sheetz is a pretty common sight and they are generally nice with good service and products. I went to this one in Petersburg, VA while I was there for Military training. The store and staff was fine, but when I went into the bathroom, it was a train wreck. The pictures speak for themselves. It was around 6:30PM I believe. Maybe it was between cleanings, but if I was an employee there, I would be embarrassed to leave it looking like that. Who in hell flushes a ball point pen down the toilet. Petersburg is kinda a dump (there was a giant landfill right behind my hotel down the street from this Sheetz), so I guess it was the local talent. read more

This shiny & new location is conveniently located right off I -95. We actually stumbled upon it looking for a pitstop, as there are no signs yet on 95 advertising the new location. Same great service, prices & selections as expected from Sheetz. Every time I come to the gas station and pay for my gas with a credit card at the pump, they never have receipt paper in the machine. If I'm paying with my card, that's because I don't want to go into the store. It's ridiculous that they only have paper inside but not at the pumps. read more

I catch the eye of the young lady ( she may have been working the window) so after she is finished having her personal conversation with the other male employee and after three other people come behind me, she decides to come do her job. So we finished the transaction and I say thank you. The sheets employee..... not a word. I say it again, this time looking her in the eyes....her words mmmhmm. I happened to stop by sheetz wagner road today for gas because wawa is remodeling in same area! I went in and paid for gas.. knowing I can push "reg", mid, or plus.. I knew gas was $2.39 regular because of by gas buddy app in the area.. The kicker is that I didn't have the American freedom option of my gas choice today.. I pushed "reg" and mid grade $2.69 began to fuel.. what the!!! I informed the young manager that asked did I stop the pump?? Would that had put my freedom back in my hand?? The service in the food area is slow at times. Make sure you place your order ahead of time. However, check your food and make sure nothing is in it. Just an observation... in such a mcdonaldized would that we live in, sheetz decides to be different by adding a touch screen to the drive through rather than using actual people. We are already being cut off from human contact with the constant uses of non human technology. I suppose it's cheaper than hiring an extra person or paying a worker 2 extra bucks. My reason for saying this is because this was my first experience there and I know that drive through is suppose to have some convenience so you can eat on the go. Now do you really want to touch that touch pad that has been touch by hundreds of fingers, that plenty of insect have made their marks on and then touch your food? We all introduce germs into our bodies but this is just a lil bit more out there to me we're already eating all that gmo food why add more harmful things to our bodies?
