My vehicle is fully registered and titled in a U.S. state, exactly as their own requirements specify. Despite that, when I arrived to complete the sale, CarMax refused to honor their own written offer and claimed they could not accept the vehicle. No explanation made sense, and none aligned with their published policies. This was a complete waste of time. I followed every instruction, brought every document, and met every requirement. CarMax still refused to honor the offer they themselves generated. A company that won't stand behind its own written appraisal is not trustworthy. Zero stars.

They do in-house financing for consumers who have less-than-perfect credit. They don't waste any time here. You don't really shop for a car FIRST. You go in, sit down, and fill out all of the credit paperwork before you look at the selection of cars that you can afford. I really liked that. My credit was damaged due to the strain of a divorce. I actually tried to get a car loan 2 months prior to this experience and got denied. This time, I brought in a co-signer and was assured that they could help. Once we were told the paperwork that we would need to be considered, we went home and got it, then came back that same day and they delivered. I appreciated that very much because they treated us with dignity and respect. Our salesman Demetrius and our finance manager Mr. Baez were laid back and really wanted to make sure we had a good experience. Once we were given our budget, we selected the best car available that suited our needs. There was a slight mix-up over one particular car that, first, was in our budget, then wasn't, then was again after we committed to putting down $500. We got the car we wanted but this was the only slight hiccup that we experienced. All-in-all we were treated nicely by the staff, the car is perfect for us and I would recommend to anyone with less than perfect credit and a decent income to check them out. Go see Demetrius.

We have other accounts here and have always been satisfied. So when I called with my dilemma, they were like, "Come right in." Nelly helped me and opened my account in less than 5 minutes and you receive your debit card on the spot! She was accommodating and cordial and also helped me with another transaction.
