Today the Altoona 17th St Sheetz took up my time and charged me money for a bag of trash. Ordered a bec croissant and hashbrowns. Croissant was hard as a rock and bacon egg and cheese were ice cold. Hash browns were literally dripping grease. Hole bag of food, along with my money, when straight in the trash. I learned my lesson. We ordered our food and 2 cars were in front of us we were at the first window while they both got their items for around 5 minutes so we went to the second window, which usually at night sheetz just uses one but the lady popped her head out n said you gotta pay at the first window and wouldn't take our card so we had to reverse to the first window as requested by the sheetz employee, this was a very unnecessary action because if another car was pulling up i could've been injured and very inconvenient when she could've just taken the payment. honestly not even hungry anymore. So I recently found myself at Sheets in North Huntington, and let me tell you, their fried tacos are a game changer. They have this amazing deal where you can get six tacos for six dollars, and let me just say, it fed my entire family. Now, I know what you're thinking - "you ate at a gas station with your family? That's kind of trashy." And normally, I would agree with you. But hear me out. We were in a pinch, and we wanted to go see the new Guardians of the Galaxy movie. And let's be real, when you're trying to keep a family fed and entertained, sometimes you have to make some questionable decisions. But you know what? It wasn't half bad. The gas station was clean, and the tacos were delicious. Who knew that a turnpike gas station could serve up such tasty treats? Of course, after eating six tacos in one sitting, I'm pretty sure I'm going to be as fat as my cat. Seriously, have you ever tried to get a cat to exercise? It's like trying to get a sloth to do parkour. She's so obese that when she jumps off of my furniture, it sounds like I'm back in Falluja and a roadside bomb went off on my hardwood floors. Seriously, when she's 15 years old she's going to go into the vet, and they're gonna say she has osteoarthritis from her heavy body frequently jumping from moderately high places and disjointing her paws. If she only knew how bad she was treating her body, maybe she would make some life changes. But if I brought her a taco, she would certainly eat it, But I digress. All in all, I would definitely give Sheets in North Huntington high marks for their food. But there is one thing that could use some improvement - the dining area. Look, I get it, it's a gas station. But if you're going to offer seating for people to eat, you should probably make sure the tables are clean and there are napkins and other alternatives available. It's the little things that make a place more inviting for people who want to come in and eat, even if it is at a gas station. And let's be real, after eating six tacos, you're going to need some napkins. Let me just say that if you're looking for a quick and tasty meal on the go, Sheets in North Huntington is definitely worth a stop. I grew up on Sheetz, it was a staple in my small town and one of the few places for a late night bite to eat. As of late, they have a bit of a problem of doing too much and not doing anything superb. Their menu has grown substantially and not a single item stands out in my opinion and prices have gone up as well. For this specific location it was 10 minutes to check out with one register open and about 25 minutes for our food to be ready. Talk about (lack of) convenience. read more

This is a bit of a confusing location. One reason is that there is another location literally a mile or less up the road. I guess that could be due to the fact that both are located on either side of a turnpike interchange. This is definitely a big lot that can accommodate many vehicles. I have seen several semis in the lot at once and it was still easy to maneuver around the lot. Gas prices are the norm for the area, they go up and they go down depending on the competitors nearby. Food and service inside are the norm for the company. This place is a bit faster than most places. Made it easy to grab a quick bite to eat and then be on my way. read more

Sheetz composite review. I am ambivalent about Sheetz as a convenience store. It has nearly everything at prices that make the "convenience" less than appealing. Gas prices are competitive and this Sheetz is well laid out, and managed. Sheetz is about catering to the "car culture" and they do an excellent job at that. f8 and be there. read more

I used to stop here often on my way west from Latrobe. It was then OK, and the sandwiches were OK for a gas station. Stopped there today as a meeting point and got fuel as well. It is now a pig sty. The pump area for diesel was gross. Yes, I know diesel fuel is oily and a few spills can cause some issues,but if you are going to sell diesel, then accept the hassle of keeping the pump area clean. I could barely fuel my vehicle without tracking diesel crap into my car. And I use gloves, but it was still a mess. The bathroom was also a disaster area and the interior of the store was in need of cleaning. I won't go back. read more
