This is your basic, run-of-the-mill gas station. And that is not saying much in this much…read morecongested stretch. For real, on this small strip of road that takes you from the interstate interchange up until you start to head your way towards Norwin, you have at least seven, if not more, gas stations to choice from. And what's more is that there are a couple other Sunocos near this one. The one further up the street somehow has lower prices for gas. But I'm assuming that this location picks up slack for that with the longer hours (24/7). This location is larger than the one down the street, but not the largest gas station on this strip. It has the basic convenience store that you come to expect. Usually busy, not much more I can say.

Croissant was hard as a rock and bacon egg and cheese were ice cold. Hash browns were literally dripping grease. Hole bag of food, along with my money, when straight in the trash. First of all, being on the corner of a busy street and the entrance to downtown Irwin, this Sunoco…read moreis difficult to get in and out of. Also, several years ago, they did away with full-service, which was the draw to stopping at this gas station in the first place. Especially in the winter, brrr. However, they never changed the pumps so you cannot use your credit / debit card at the pump. Regardless if you are paying with cash or a card, you have to go inside. Problem is, how about if you don't know how much gas you're getting? What if you want to fill up? This no-card-at-the-pump situation and the fact that they only have four pumps is very inconvenient. (see what I did there) The manager and staff are - for the most part - extremely friendly and helpful. One time, I tried getting a hot chocolate and the machine was jammed and the manager was quick to come help. Trouble is, there are a lot of people that just hand around inside and outside the store. Friends of the staff, just bored teenagers / adults, I don't know. But it makes it kind of awkward, like you're interrupting some big meeting when you had to trudge in to pay for gas. Also, on one occasion last year, a friend and I were going out and I stopped for gas. Needless to say, I had to go inside and the woman (age later 50s?) working in there asked me if I planned on stopping by later. I said no, obviously confused. She said something along the lines of "Oh, I thought you were coming back later?" I assumed that this was 1) some type of code. I won't speculate what I think she meant. Or 2) she was mistaking me for someone else. Either way it was awkward. I again told her no, I had no plans on coming back later. She replied, "Okay well if you change your mind, I'm done at 10." This really bothered me and I haven't been back since. Other cons: normally, gas prices are a few pennies more than other locations. And they don't take coupons. This is more of a 1.5 stars, I'm really only giving two for the helpful and friendly staff.
