we exchanged a propane tank and got a new one once we got home we found out after turning the valve on it was leaking from the back of the valve in the tank. so we took it back and they would not give us another tank are the one we turned in. To make things worse they would not refund our money and threaten to call the police when I called them crooks. we will never shop at sheetz again for any reason. completely ridiculous and unprofessional. If we had not noticed the leak it would have blown up and clearly would have killed me and my son . even possibly burning down our home. Today i ordered a simple ham sandwich and other things, which was all delivered within a reasonable amount of time, thank you door dash. The point of this is to say the food was amazing today! What a nice addition Sheetz has been to the intersection of Westchester and Lexington, catty-corner to Smitty's 1 Stop. This Sheetz location, currently one of three in High Point, opened in 2014. Something like this has been needed at this corner for years after the closure and demolition of two old gas stations and convenience stores that came before it: a BP and what eventually devolved into a "Fast & Easy Mart" (IIRC, it was an Iloco Mart at one point). Sheetz now sits on top of the land that previously belonged to both, so that gives you an idea of its size. This place reminds me of the QuikTrips we have down in Georgia (particularly the newer QTs). These are simply nice gas stations and convenience stores that are new, clean, have inexpensive fuel, and offer above average food, drink, service, and even ambiance. The store is open 24/7, has both indoor and outdoor (umbrella-covered) seating, free Wi-Fi, and supports online ordering. There are 10 gas pumps at this station. I had a Sheetz Made-To-Go Cuban Sandwich ($4.99) and Shweetz Bakery-To-Go Gourmet Oatmeal Craisins Cookie from the store and was impressed with the food quality. The Cuban sandwich looked like a moderately sized sandwich, but it was actually quite heavy and dense. It was made with both shredded ham and beef, Swiss cheese, pickles, dijon mustard, and mayo on white ciabatta bread. This was a pre-made, pre-wrapped, refrigerated, grab-and-go sandwich. For this kind of sammie, it was surprisingly delicious and filling and it proved to be more than an adequate as an on-the-go lunch during a round of golf. I was satisfied eating just half of it and came to find out, after reading the Nutrition Facts, that the serving size is half a sandwich at 300 calories. The 3.6-ounce Oatmeal Craisins Cookie was pretty tasty too. It clocks in at 480 calories. The cookie was made with craisins by Ocean Spray. Sheetz has a gimmick where it spells certain items to look like the company name. For example, sandwichez, subz, chicken stripz and chicken shwingz. :: rolls eyes :: Service is good. You can order food and drink using a touchscreen. I believe you can rent movies here as well -- Red Box, I think -- which one could consider a spiritual successor to the old Action Video that used to exist here in the 80s (and perhaps into the early 90s). I hate that I feel the need to rate them so low. I've gone to sheetz religiously for years as I lived in westchester key apartments for 5+ years. Unfortunately as of the recent months, this location has changed a lot. Their employees aren't as clean or up beat customer service anymore. Every time I come I've had some wrong with my order and I used to come every night. Now I might come once every couple weeks. I have spoken with the hospitality manager several times with no change in the amount of errors. They cooked my mozzarellas to the point all the cheese came out 10+ different a times and somehow they get that was of quality to give the customer. Additionally, the cleanliness of the store is not the same as I caught one of the employees allowing a homeless man to reach behind the counter where they make the food and he then proceeded to pick up several "fresh" bakery items out of the cabinet in the lobby with his bare hands in front of the employee cooking. He did nothing but, thankfully the manager Evie (I think is her name), took al the bakery items and replaced them with fresh clean bakery goods after I informed her of the situation. read more

Seeing these all over NC while my husband and I were visiting the Triad area for personal business, we decided to stop here to fill up the gas tank and grab a quick lunch we could enjoy in the car. Damn good wraps, subs and cold sweet tea. Everything was fresh and delicious. Very nice and polite employees too. Next time I'll try their coffee. read more

Terrible experience. Most of the Gas tanks were blocked off with cones while they washed the concrete. Multiple cars were lined up at the three or four tanks open. The car in front of me parks at the tank and then the driver gets out and goes in the store. Was ridiculous and took way too long to try to get some gas.Yes, that was really rude and selfish of the driver. But SHEETZ could also clean their concrete at some other time then 5 PM. read more

I've been to many Sheetz but this one's snooty cashier was irritating. More concerned about her makeup than service, I was put off twice. She looks to be very young but hopefully one day she'll wake up and realize service industry jobs aren't just a paycheck. Several coffee urns. Mild was rancid. Took a fresh cup from the Medium blend and it was good. No non dairy creamers just a skim milk whole milk dispenser. Forgot my card and they offer no alternate ID or app card so I lost out on bonuses. The short order cook was efficient and not talkative at all.
