This is a really great Sheetz. I really liked the size of the store. If you are reading this review, I can only imagine that you are doing so because you haven't been to one of these gas station/food/grocery store/clean bathroom/dining area businesses before. They are pretty fantastic. If you are on the road, these establishments will fulfill all your needs. Food was the same as other Sheetz. I actually went back and got a 4 chicken nugget order after I ate my steak sub as they are new to the franchise. Gotta say, pretty good nuggets. Sheetz is so freaking good. They have a wide variety of food and if you have a card you can get more rewards for food. The food is amazing and they have even better milkshakes as well as a huge variety of donuts and snacks. This is the greatest gas station ever. read more

Altoona is old town which flourished in late 1800s for its railway works. After visiting the railway museum we decided to take a quick bite and fill gas . Sheetz is the place to go .. It had varied snacks and hot fast food meals. The staff was following covid protocols and they also had free mask if u needed one. read more

This Sheetz isn't actually closed, in fact the only thing wrong is that this location has the wrong address. Still there, still open, still busy. I'm not even really sure why it pops up on Yelp that this site is closed. Sheetz never closes unless they are opening another location really close nearby. This Sheetz is actually one of those weird ones. As in the lot it is located on is so near to residential houses, I am sure that those people are probably annoyed by the constant noise and lights. It is also on the smaller side as well. But they attempted their best here by cramming everything you love about Sheetz into a small lot/location. Customer service inside was on par with any Sheetz location, which means it is near the top. Shelves are stocked, coolers have ample drinks and MTO are both already made or just a few minutes away. read more

"Sheetz or Wawa?" might be the most contentious question in Pennsylvania. Everyone has their favorite and the fans of each are rabid. While I really like Wawa, I'm first and foremost a Sheetz freak, being unable to pass through Sheetz country without at least one stop. My stop on my last trip came on the last day as I was driving across Pennsylvania. Altoona is an oasis of cheap in the sea of high Pennsylvania gas prices and this location continues the trend. The Sheetz card chops another 3 cents off the price. Gas tank full, I stop inside to use the immaculately clean restrooms and obtain some made-to-order food. I was in the mood for a few things that day, so I ordered a bit of a sampler: 3 burger sliders with ketchup, pickles, and Old Bay seasoning, an order of popcorn chicken tossed in Buffalo habanero sauce, and a cup of fryz (here at Sheetz, everything ends in Z). A few minutes after placing my order and paying, I'm sitting in my car with a bag of fresh-cooked fried goodness. Is it healthy? Heck no. But tasty? Oh yes. Because it's Sheetz, even the craziest of special orders are always correct, including my weird order. But my favorite part? It's all packaged in a way that's easy to eat while driving. Portions are very small but always somewhat good. Asked for extra mayo on my wrap and didn't get any at all! Had to put some on at home. Service is alright but sometimes the employees are rude and on their phones at counter, which I know they aren't allowed to be on. Always somewhat busy so wait is a little longer but not horrible. Clean store but could be cleaner. Trash outside is almost always overflowing. Alcohol selection is just okay. When its later at night, you have to stand at counter for a good 3 minutes until someone checks you out. Overall, not the worst but not the best. read more

Sheetz - Gas Stations Near Me - Altoona, Pennsylvania

I've stopped at this Sheetz a few times when traveling between Pittsburgh and Central PA or NY. As gas stations with food go, this is a very nice one, better than the Sheetz stores in Pittsburgh. Gas prices tend to be good, I've compared local prices using Gasbuddy and this one often has the lowest price in 20 miles. I've ordered "Subz" sandwiches a few times, and they've always been wonderful, with very fresh ingredients. They also have an indoor seating area and wifi, which makes it very convenient for me to check my email as I have some lunch. Their coffee is quite good too, with about 6 different types ready to go. read more
