They have a heavy amount of gas pumps, the inside is about 4 times the size of a regular store- with a large dining area, separate places for salads, pizza, drinks, and regular food to be made, and a drive thru. Upon my latest stop- I ordered my usual salad and was amazed at the toppings available at this location, to the usual order of turkey, Parmesan, hard boileds, diceds, romaine, pepper rings, and cheese, I also was able to add broccoli, carrots, and corn and bean salsa. Wow. Not to mention they also have an option where the dressing can be mixed by then into the salad rather than you doing it and looking like a fool shaking your salad container in public. Was a big fan. Not to mention a HUGE slush section, about 30 fridge doors and plenty of snacks and convenience store items.

Every time I stop in for an MTO ( which is now far less frequent than it used to be) I am shocked at what you get for your money. Today I stopped by for a quick breakfast. I got a bagel sandwich, hash browns, and a fountain drink for almost $10. It saw pretty shocking. What got me the most is that the hash browns ($2.29) had a tiny bad with 4 little hash brown about the size of a half dollar. Four bites for $2.29. That's 57 cents per bite!! I also noticed that in their frequent shopper rewards they have eliminated many reward options completely. Again, so much less for your $$. I guess I will start checking out what Rutters has to offer. I had always been loyal to Sheetz but it looks like the time has come to look for other options. There is a Rutters going in right down the road so it won't be inconvenient and maybe the value will be better than it's become at Sheetz. To bad. Years ago they used to be the best value in town. I'll start with the PROS: store staff is friendly and the store is clean. Police frequent the store…read moreat night for gas or whatever it is that police buy at Sheetz late at night. It sells beer and wine and has a place to dine in on your MTO purchase. CONS: Store always seems short staffed. One cashier sometimes checking out ten people, I'd imagine they have high turn-over rates. The food prep people always seem short staffed as well. I've also had another customer tell me that he used to work there and while the cashier is drowning, there is usually a manager just sitting in the back room. My biggest complaint: There are always people "hanging out" inside and out. A lot of shady people, I may add- quick story: I won $7.00 on a scratch off recently and went to the lotto machine to check my ticket. It asked if I wanted to redeem my card. I needed actual cash to buy a shirt from work so I wanted cash since I rarely carry cash, not more tickets. I walked over to the cashier to ask a question and redeem my ticket at the register. Turned and looked at the machine, like a Ninja some dirtball quickly hit the yes button (I didn't know at that moment that was what he was doing) redeeming my ticket for more tickets and then left the store. The cashier told me that my scratch off had already been redeemed. The cashier and manager were apologetic but there was nothing they could do, which I understand. In the middle of the afternoon, there were 3 guys just "hanging out" at the tables, one arguing loudly with his girlfriend calling her an effing b while kids are walking by. Oh and the kids, plenty of young children loitering with their parents at 1130 at night as well. Also, often an abundance of lecherous pervs (again sitting outside) leering at you if you're a female like they are some stereotypical construction worker from an 80's movie. This is quickly becoming 13th Street Sheetz. Take out the seating so the creepers have nowhere to sit around and take up space, making other customers feel uneasy. I'm sure they used to get a lot of hospital staff... probably not anymore. They'd more than likely rather drive to Ivyside Sheetz.. I can imagine it's only a matter of time before robberies start to become commonplace. I hope not but if these issues aren't addressed, it's inevitable.
