I cannot tell a lie, I love me some Sheetz. It could be the crappiest location or their oldest…read morestore and I would still go in a Sheetz. This is the newest of locations in good old Northern Cambria. If you were to drive through the town from the north you would see the other two old Sheetz buildings before you got to this new one. I give them props because they upped the amount of pumps available to get gas. They expanded the inside so that it's not so crowded when ordering food. What can be said badly about the food you order from Sheetz. Even the newer items there are amazing even if not well received by the general public. Downside to this location, even with the upgraded size from everything like the lot to the content of merchandise, accessibility to get into the location. Located right across the street from the Giant Eagle where no one really understand how to leave or enter their parking lot and on busy 219 makes it a bit uneasy. There is a back entrance, but not much better because the road still intersects with 219. If they were to reconfigure the entrance to GE and maybe add a traffic light for safety I would give this place five stars.

Need gas? Stop here. Hungry? Stop here…read more Need a drink? Stop here. Time for a pitstop? Stop here. It's just a Sheetz, folks. Nothing super elaborate or fancy. Sheetz will satisfy all your fried jalapeno popper, mozzarella sticks, and french fry needs. Need more sustenance? You're in luck. There's pizza, sandwiches, chicken, mexican, hot dogs, breakfast foods, burgers, fish... something for just about everyone. At the same time, Sheetz will also tame your inner coffee beast. Mocha, cappuccino, frappe, black, creamer, hot cold. You name it, they have it. I'm a fan of the Peanut Butter Fluffernutter smoothie... Granted, it's not good for my waistline, but it's just so darn good! I've been to this Sheetz literally countless times. If you come here during prime times (Lunch time, breakfast time, supper) there may be a bit of a wait if you are ordering food/MTO drinks. Other than that I've never experience too many other issues here. The staff is always nice, which is a plus when they are super busy. If you're in Northern Cambria and in need of a fill up or a pick me up, stop here!

Basically this is a gas station on steroids. They built this thing to compete with other chains that have a stronger foothold in the area. I have been to a few Rutter's before, but this one just seems different. I'm not sure why when these are built that they have to gigantic. I suppose they are aiming for all the truck traffic that goes through this corridor, and that is the reason they reconfigured the road to allow easier access. When I say this thing is huge I am not exaggerating. The inside is vast and has an expanse of items to choose from. They have their own take on their made-to-order food, I did not partake. When I was there they were still in the process of fully opening up. It appears that this place will have a gaming parlor. You know, just like every other gas station in the state now, they will have skills game. Unnecessary? Yes, but it seems to be the norm everywhere in the state of PA now. After stretching my legs and using the facilities I found an item and made my way to the register to pay. Not sure if it is like this at all Rutter's, but I had a loyalty card forced on me. Not that I needed one, but I got one. It was just kind of shoved on me, even though I really didn't need one. Overall, because this is brand new it gets high stars, but over time I feel like this is going to slide a bit.

It also goes without saying that out this way in Penfield there are not exactly a lot available options for quick-easy grocery items. You basically have this place and a new-ish looking Dollar General right down the road on 255. Past that? Ten plus miles to Sheetz or Wal-Mart in DuBois? Half of the store has snacks and drink coolers and the other half is set up where you could sit and eat from their small restaurant/grill. They also had signs up everywhere about them converting part of the store into a beer cave. Up this way, that will be a big seller. I was looking for firewood (which they have an abundance of outside in front of the store) since the stuff the park was selling was wet and didn't burn nice at all plus some charcoal which this place does not carry (no biggie as the aforementioned Dollar General has a large Kingsford display as soon as you walk in the front door). If you're at Parker Dam, this place isn't too far from the cabins at about five miles and with it being open 24/7 + having gas it really is a convenient place to stop if you're in the area.
