AMAZING! Me & my friend wanted to try Ethiopian food for the first time. This was a GREAT choice. The place was rather empty but the service was top tier. The servers were very attentive, courteous and nice. We settled on buying one of the sharing entrees that came with 4 vegetables and 4 meats. We got the chicken, two different lambs and beef along with string beans, 2 types of lentils and greens. They make the food fresh so it's a bit of a wait but it was damn good and hot! Ambiance was very chill. Nice & laid back. It was a wonderful experience and will def say if this is your first time trying Ethiopian food or if you just want some I HIGHLY recommend this place!

Just picked up today our dinner from the vegetarian menu. It was delicious!!! And their special bread was so soft and light. Couldn't stop eating. The lady at the front was so nice and welcoming. I really liked the place!

I love this place! Blane is my favorite server there and the food is delicious. I moved to Dallas a year ago and I have found that this is my favorite Ethiopian restaurant in the city! I would highly recommend anyone.

Another great experience. Sheb's has some of the most authentic Ethiopian food in Dallas!! The service is just as amazing as the food.

So...I have been craving Ethiopian Food and Sheba's did not disappoint! I called in my order and 20 minutes later, my wonderful husband was coming through the door with what I've been JONESING for! As soon as I opened the box; I was swaddled like a wee babe by the inebriating scents of Berber Spices. Sheba's Selection offers your choice of 2 meats and 2 vegetables. I got the Lamb Tibs, Beef Wot, Collard Greens, and Lentils. The Lamb was tender and succulent from the slow simmered tomato sauce and spices. The Beef was loaded with spicy pieces of jalapeños, onions, and Rosemary. Both had me dreaming of the leftovers I was determined to have, so I could relive the joy of each morsel. The collard Greens were well seasoned and still had a little crunch which was a nice texture balance for the meal. The Lentils were spicy and full of life and flavor. But my FAVORITE was the Injera! There is something so satisfying about tearing pieces of tender injera and using it shepherd in the savory goodness that is Ethiopian Cuisine. In my opinion the fermentation of the Teff batter is what makes Injera so special. It lends a slight acidity to anything that has the privilege of being cloaked in the simple, naturally Gluten-Free "bread"(for lack of a better word). If your looking for Good, Authentic, Ethiopian Food, Sheba's is it! Go Check It Out!

First time here! My friend and I walked in. We're Kenyan & Nigerian but enjoy Ethiopian food. Since no waitress greeted us, we figured it was self seating so we sat down by the booths. Not too long after we sat down, we were waited on. The waitress had a somewhat cold demeanor but that was okay. As we waited for our food, a white & southeast asian couple came in. They were promptly greeted at the door with a smile and seated. What was funnier is they sat close to us and when they asked the waitress for salt, she immediately reached over and took the only salt from our table without asking or even saying "excuse me" to us hahah We'll brush this off but Sheba's- please do better. Customer service was a negative 5 for us. Only give it a 3 star because the food was fine & the place is clean.

Had the kitfo along with the lega tibs. Kitfo was ok, but the lega tibs was so good. Nice little place and i prefered this place over Destin.

Made reservations online through Google and our waitress Alem had our table ready as soon as we walked in the door! The music was vibing, injera was DELICIOUS with the lamb and we enjoyed a glass of red wine. Couldn't ask for a better night. It's giving what it was supposed to gave. 5/5 stars will be back as soon as my stomach can handle it

I have been to Shebas Ethiopian kitchen quite a few times. I'm a regular of getting the Shebas select! Ethiopian good is full of flavor and regularly compared to Indian food because of the spiciness of both dishes. Shebas dishes are made with excellence! I absolutely love ordering their kitfo and yes I order Raw Kitfo! Yum! I also love the beef Tibs! It's very similar to beef kabobs and both dishes are full of flavor and spice! I truly enjoy the dishes because you definitely get the band for your buck! I normally have enough food to eat and indulge in later on. The reason why this restaurant lost a star is because of service. Sometimes the service is lacking! It can be very hit or miss! I recommend take out because they do make it very fast! Then you don't have to risk having the service but the food is worth the visit!

Hands down my favorite Ethiopian restaurant in Dallas ! I actually discovered Ethiopian food through this restaurant years ago and have been a connoisseur since. They've recently gone under new management but are even better than before. One thing I love about this restaurant is that they allow you to try a variety of dishes through their combo platters. Most restaurants don't include the best selection on combo meals but this place proves other wrong. The food is always delicious and they have the best Doro wot ever. Please come here for the best of Ethiopian cuisine.

Simply put, it's all about the injera. Because the rest is somewhat or supposedly quizzical. For one, thou are supposed to like your mom's cooking only, or if you are lucky enough to go to a wedding and eat the best of both mothers cooking because one of them will try to impress the guests... Ok ok now back to the restaurant... the wait staff are always friendly and helpful. Give the place a chance, food may come late but it is one of the best tasting around Dallas. Enjoy.

It includes: Smoked Doro Wat (Spicy Chicken Stew), Awaze Rib Tip Tibs, Awaze Brisket, Awaze Pork Ribs, your choice of 2 sides, Texas Toast, gluten-free teff injera, and rice pilaf! The hardest part is choosing the sides because they're all amazing, from classic BBQ sides like potato salad, fried okra, baked beans, corn, collard greens, and mac and cheese to Ethiopian sides like shiro wat (chickpea stew), misir wat (red lentil stew), tikil gomen (cabbage and carrots), and more. Even berbere-spiced mac and cheese! Berbere is an incredible blend of Ethiopian spices that is amazing on everything, savory or sweet. If it's just me eating with no one to share, I like to get the Big Ash loaded baked potato. Your choice of meat on a perfectly fluffy hot potato with plenty of butter and sour cream -- it's soooo comforting and delicious!

I expected "knock your socks off" but got very good food instead. I expected a packed dining room but at 12:30 it was almost empty. We ordered the sample plate for 2 which included ribs, brisket, rib tips, and doro wat (chicken stew) with rice, injera and we got beefy collard greens and cabbage with carrots sides. The ribs were excellent. I also really liked the chicken stew. I was surprised by the sour flavor of the injera. The thin bbq sauce was tasty while it was not sweet or full of vinegar. It was a nice alternative to traditional sauces. While we enjoyed our meal, and I would order the ribs and chicken stew again, this place is a bit too far for a repeat. But it introduced me to Ethiopian food which I can find closer to home. I love the creativity of the owners.

During my last visit, I ordered ahead and it took me about 25 minutes drive, which wasn't too bad. The person who took my order was nice, which was a pleasant surprise compared to what I expected. I ordered two portions of suya and two shawarmas, costing a bit over $40. The shawarma was okay in size, but it didn't really stand out. It satisfied my cravings, but nothing more. Now, the suya was a letdown. It had too much oil and lacked that real suya flavor. The taste of curry was too strong, overshadowing the authentic suya taste. Plus, there were way too many onions compared to the meat. I'd rate the suya a 4 out of 10 for the effort. On the other hand, the shawarma, though of an average size, was pretty tasty. It was spicy, so you'll need a drink to handle the heat. I'm giving a three-star rating for both the food and the service, also appreciating that they're open on Sundays. I've tried suya and shawarma in many places around the DFW area, and I think this place can do better. If they work on improving the spice mix for the suya and balance out the meat and onions, it would make a big difference and bring them up to the level of other spots in the area.
