Despite the heat this weekend, we were craving Ethiopian food and decided to drop in in Addis Abeba…read morefor lunch. It's right off Hwy 75 and Beltline right across from the McDonalds after the light in the strip mall. It was easy enough to find and we strolled right in. It is self seating and we picked out a table chairs off to the right side when we entered. It's a decent size space with a fair for live music and plenty of seating; half of it on regular height and the other half bar height seating. There was one young lady serving and there were only 3 other families there. She was attentive and served us with a smile. We ordered taste of Ethiopia, which a mixed dish with Doro wot(chicken stew with boiled egg) kitfo(very slightly fired almost tartare beef) beef tibs(stew; all served in a bed of Injera(their traditional spongy oversized tortilla) made from teff. It has a slightly fermented taste for those who have never tried it before. The plate also had collards, lentils(shiro) and Ayib(homemade fresh cheese). This is right up there with Shebelle for the best Ethiopian food in DFW. Now I haven't tried all the restaurants but have eaten at enough to know what is next level. The explosion of flavors; the subtle heat from the jalapeños and chilli powder/paprika. The rich taste of the Ethiopian ghee it's cooked in. The best part is the injera that has soaked up all the sauces as the last fitting bites. The only downside is wouldn't stop eating, it was so so good and I got my share. I was full for the rest of the day and didn't eat until about 20 hours after that meal. Go try this place....the food is so worth it!

The waitress was kind and very helpful. She explained the dishes and even hand-served the buffet to me. The inside had tvs to watch the euro cup and the mint chairs were comfy. I enjoyed the buffet and the vegetable combo was delightful. The only thing that wasn't for me was the tea. It tasted like a fireball shot without the alcohol. If you like sweet things, then I would recommend. Overall nice experience and I will be bringing friends and family again for sure!

Their coffee has such a nice and strong acidity to it, and their signature latte is phenomenal. I also quite enjoyed their matcha as well. it was well blended but not as heavy as I expected, so I'm not entirely sure if it's ceremonial grade from Japan. However, both drinks were really well made and they came out really quickly. I would absolutely come here again--such a gem!

Great tasting coffee and interesting food items that you may not find at other cafes. We were there for coffee so did not have a chance to eat anything. The coffee is local led roasted and this establishment is women-owned. I liked that it was not overly acidic and had a smooth finish on my cafe latte. We were greeted on arrival and ordered iced coffee. There was something wrong with the machine so I could not order regular coffee. But, after sitting in the shop for about ten minutes, the barista invited me to place my order because the machine was working. Comfortable seating and bright lighting inside allows for some quiet space to work or relax. Loved the decor!
