Robin is knowledgeable and friendly, and her staff doesn't walk around with water bottles and airhorns!

I had originally called in and connected with Faith (she was wonderful) and called back to explain the visit was changing from illness to prevention. I was greeted with warmth and kindness. Faith released us to Jamie (the Tech), who took us to "the Cat Room" and did a pre-exam. I didn't recognize the significance of this until later. My little one, obviously nervous, ultimately had a ball exploring everything in that room, especially the climbing opportunities. We had a very long wait. (Not a complaint)! Turned out, the Doctor was engaged with a very sick dog that had arrived just prior to us and she was 100% committed to that outcome. Profound respect for that.

York Veterinary Services' administrative systems are very modernized, with a straightforward process to make / modify an appointment (through website, phone, or email), ask a follow up question (through text message), or order medications (through their custom website). I trust these folks to always charge me a fair price for services, and I feel very confident in their abilities. Highly recommended.

I was told they close at 4:00 PM and to keep an eye on my messages for pickup. At 3:45 PM, I received a text stating my dog would not be ready until 4:45 PM -- after closing time. A five-hour grooming appointment has never been my experience in owning multiple dogs, and the delay was never properly communicated in advance. I also received an automated "thank you for visiting" email while my dog was still there, which added to the confusion. When I arrived at 4:40 PM, I asked about the extended grooming time. The response was that they "don't want to push any dog," which I understand, but again, that was never communicated earlier. Instead of addressing the concern professionally, the owner was dismissive and condescending. He stated he didn't care about the customer, became defensive, and did not acknowledge or apologize for the lack of communication. Rather than working toward a resolution, he suggested I return to my previous groomer. I replied that I would rather make the two-hour drive to Skiptown in Charlotte than return here, even though this business is local. His response was sarcastic and continued the unprofessional tone. At that point, I simply wanted to pick up my dog and leave. Since then, I've spoken with others who have shared similar concerns regarding overbooking and poor customer service. I hope the business improves its communication and customer service practices in the future.
