My pitty loves Dogtopia! She lays at home all day but there she gets so much exercise.

Dog Bites Munchery & More

I tried contacting multiple groomers and even mobile ones, but they of course would not just come for a nail trim. I contacted Dog Bites to see about their grooming and I have been able to contact them each and every time, to bring Rocky in when no other dog is around or if there is one, someone will hold the other dog in another area of the store while Rocky is the only one in the grooming area. Love that it will never be like a zoo in there since they don't have the space, nor do they cage animals once they are done. They are great with trimming his nails and we have never had to wait long! I highly recommend Dog Bites. They are fantastic and are very friendly! Glad we have found them and can positively say they are now our groomer forever!

They just wanted to know names (mine and his) and if he had his rabies shot. They put a plastic tag around his neck, and I handed him over, through the check in window, inside. They put him on the floor in the front office to roam around with 3 other small dogs. I noticed it was a packed house and LOUD. I could barely hear the receptionist over the LOUD barking dogs. There were literally dogs everywhere! Some I saw; others were put away some where. What I gathered is that most of the dogs are able to roam around, until its their turn. Being a new doggy parent, I really didn't expect all of the chaos. Dropped him off at noon and he wasn't ready until 4:45pm. So if you're looking for an in and out type of place, this ain't it! But I was told that if I snag an early appt, like one when they first open, I'll probably only have to wait about 2 hours to get him back. I'll for sure try that next time. Overall, his haircut came out very cute and they did exactly what I asked for: Keep it short, but not shaved. Don't shave his snout. Round face. I paid $60 for a wash, nail trim and hair cut. All of the staff was super nice. They let me take before and after pics and answered all of my silly 1st-Time Dog Mom questions. This was a more inviting experience than his first puppy trim at the local PetSmart but it did take A LONG time. I'll be visiting again, with an earlier appt. to see how that goes. Gave them a 4/5 because it smelled, it was loud, and dogs were just roaming all around in the grooming area. I didn't like that. But I was please with his haircut, he smelled amazing and the staff was super nice.

I've tried other groomers and he doesn't play nice. He always comes back with a Westie cut and trimmed toenails. But…read moreyesterday I dropped my dog off to get groomed and I didn't have a good experience I called to find out what time my dog would be ready and the lady that answered the phone stated that she would be ready at 4pm just for me to call right back and the groomer said that my dog would be ready in 10 minutes. When I arrived to pick my dog up the groomer was outside in the parking lot so a man had to give me my dog he also stated to me that the groomer said I could no longer bring my dog here because I had a attitude. In which I did not. Now I was upset but I didn't have an attitude. The groomer Amanda is the one who made the statement about me not being able to bring my dog back after I already paid and tipped her. So yes I wanted my tip back because if I'm paying for a service I expect great customer. Also when I dropped my dog off she showed me the chart of the different cuts and I picked the one I wanted I also stated that I wanted my dogs ears clipped the same length as her face she didn't do that either. I spend so much money here and I always bring my dog here for her grooming needs. But after yesterday will not be returning.

Poochie's Grooming Salon - About a week after her last haircut!

I still love Poochie's and will be sad to move! I started taking my 6 year old Shih Tzu there right…read moreafter we moved to the area, when she was about 8 months old. I got married when she was 2 years old. My husband wanted a puppy. He tried cutting the puppy's hair himself, but she always looked like he cut her hair himself. And to our surprise, though, her hair never got thick, like a regular Shih Tzu. So, we would take her in for face trims at Poochie's. Then her squirming made it not worth it! Both of our dogs look great, regardless of if we ask for summer cuts or just a trim, so that they will look good for visiting family that is coming in a few weeks. I have never been unhappy! Poochie's always runs on time, smells clean, and they put up with my squirming dogs. The location is also fantastic! I recommend Poochie's to all of my friends. And I would recommend it to strangers.

If you're looking to strictly get your dog bathed/ deshedded prices are somewhat reasonable,…read morehowever DO NOT get your pet cut here. I should've listened to the older reviews, but gave benefit of the doubt given it has been a long time since last reviews. We asked for a teddy bear cut on our 6 month on Bichon and our poor baby came back with his nose shaved down to skin, his face cut severely uneven and his fur trimmed down very very short. We also specifically stated to not cut his tail and the tip of the fur is cut in a blunt end. We were also very clear we just wanted his face trimmed up and rounded out. NOT SHAVED. She also told us she was only going to be doing a scissor haircut for him so it would be an additional $15 only for her to SHAVE him anyways. I understand he's a puppy and may have been a bit of a challenge, but if you can't handle cutting a puppy either don't be a groomer or don't accept puppies. Keep in mind he has gotten groomed before when we lived in a different state and they were able to work with my pup perfectly when he was younger. As for my other dog who was only bathed and de-shedded he smells great and feels fantastic thus the 2 star review. Lastly, why is getting their nails grinded extra? Oh because she stated by clipping them with clippers it makes them sharp, idk about you but anytime i've clipped my dogs' nails they're never sharp. To be honest, just seems like the business is trying to find ways to squeeze extra bucks out of you. EDIT: Wow, never have I experienced an owner to flat out lie haha. Let me reiterate since, as previous reviews have stated numerous times, not sure what was lost in translation. We asked for a TRIM on his body, his tail NOT to be cut, and for his face to be rounded out. Not entirely sure where the owner is losing the reality on what was discussed. In fact she AGREED with us to go longer on his length. Yet she somehow decided shaving him was a good idea. Yes, he has been groomed before by a skilled groomer who had zero issues working with him. I can happily provide before and after pictures of his haircut. As for lowering the price on our lab pyrenees mix. He was originally priced at a higher amount given the owner was under the expectation that he would have a pyrenees coat, although i had stated he has the coat of a lab that's long. So yeah, the price was lowered because he has a lab coat. Now, if you want to charge client more because you cannot handle a puppy cut, it's best to not accept puppies. If you are slow and gentle with my pup he responds well to having his face trimmed. Needless to say, avoid this place. listen to the reviews. Owner should stick to baths only and retire the scissors. P.S. i went "public" because people should know what to expect when coming to this establishment. a choppy haircut not worth more than $10. Quite honestly, this is just the work of a lazy groomer. Updated to 1-star merely based on the owners lack of accountability and flat out lying in a sad attempt to save face. Should've known to just walk out based on how spaced out she seemed when dropping my pups off.

Absolutely Horrible Experience. Do Not Take Your Dog Here!…read more We took our puppy to Modern Pet Salon for the first time because we heard they use scissors instead of clippers, which we thought would be gentler. It turned out to be a terrible mistake. We specifically asked them multiple times not to cut too much of her hair, especially since she doesn't like it, but they insisted she had too many tangles and needed a full trim. Not only did they ignore our request, but they cut our puppy twice, both on her ears--areas where there was no tangled hair at all. They even called us during the appointment to say she was bleeding. Later, they claimed it was because she had an ear hematoma and that they had just trimmed it. That was a complete lie. We took her to the vet, who confirmed that the injury was a fresh cut from grooming and not from any medical condition. She did not have a hematoma. They hurt her, and then tried to cover it up. They also asked us to use an old sock to cover the wound, which felt incredibly unprofessional and careless. Since then, our puppy has been extremely uncomfortable. She keeps shaking her head, clearly bothered by her ears, and she has been very sad and withdrawn. This is the first and only time something like this has ever happened to her. I'm beyond disappointed. Not only should they have never charged us for this awful experience, but they should not be handling dogs, especially sensitive breeds like doodles, if they can't do so safely and honestly. I would NEVER recommend this place to anyone. Please protect your pet and take them somewhere else.
