Worst customer service provided by Alexis today when I picked my dog up from a grooming appointment. She is the sole reason we will be taking our dog elsewhere to be groomed and finding somewhere else to purchase supplies. Her behavior when I pointed out that she had let someone skip me in line (shrugging and rolling her eyes) followed by her argumentative attitude when I told her manager what had happened are unacceptable. This attitude was followed by complete ineptitude and incompetence when she attempted to charge me only $15 for a bath and de-shed. I had to correct her on this so that the groomer would be tipped off of the appropriate base amount. Who knows if her mischarging clients has happened before and caused the grooming staff to miss out on hard earned tips. read more

Finding Dog Bites Munchery and More has been the best thing for our pup! We used to take our dog to get his nails trimmed at PetSmart, which was always a hit or miss because sometimes it would be a long wait, then there would be some people who would or wouldn't know what they were doing, etc. Unfortunately our dog ran into some health issues and we can no longer take him to PetSmart since it is not good for him to be around other dogs (not bad for other dogs, just not good for our dog and his poor immune system). I tried contacting multiple groomers and even mobile ones, but they of course would not just come for a nail trim. I contacted Dog Bites to see about their grooming and I have been able to contact them each and every time, to bring Rocky in when no other dog is around or if there is one, someone will hold the other dog in another area of the store while Rocky is the only one in the grooming area. Love that it will never be like a zoo in there since they don't have the space, nor do they cage animals once they are done. They are great with trimming his nails and we have never had to wait long! I highly recommend Dog Bites. They are fantastic and are very friendly! Glad we have found them and can positively say they are now our groomer forever! read more

What Happened to the Customer Always Being Right?! We had our monthly grooming appointment, this morning at Dog Bites Munchery & Grooming, LLC, in Rock Hill, SC, for our small dog and, as usual, she was nervous and shaking as soon as we got out of our vehicle. When it was our turn to be waited on, once we got inside, we were asked who we were so she could get our dog checked in. I asked if they kept record in their system on what is done each time for our dog and she read back to me what they did last appointment (which did not mention around the ends of the feet or in between pads). I told her that the sanitary trim and the feet weren't done, which I did once I got our dog home. She said that she would make sure that was mentioned in their notes and would get the groomer so they could get started on our dogs grooming. Once the groomer came out, who happened to be the owner of Dog Bites, we could immediately tell that she had an attitude. She immediately started chewing us out accusing us of every time we bring our dog in there for the grooming, all we do is complain about things and how nervous our dog is. We told her that wasn't true that we don't complain when we go in for the appointment and that our dog IS always shaking with nerves. She told us that our dog did have a sanitary trim because they have it on video and I told her it wasn't done, that I had to do it once we got our dog back home and she said that some groomers do it more lightly than others. I said that if that was the case, it didn't look like it was done because I had to do. At this point, the owner started getting very nasty and things became more heated. She told us that if we're ever unhappy with an appointment, that we can let them know, so it can be taken care of. So, if you mention to them that something wasn't done or was missed at the previous appointment, I guess that becomes a complaint in their eyes because it was their mistake for not doing what was supposed to have been done. At that point, the owner told us that we could just find another groomer. Don't take your dog to this groomer because if you are checking to see if they do things that you have requested, that they will take it as complaining. ZERO RATING for the way the owner handled things and how she spoke to us. read more

This place is amazing! My Australian Shepherd (rescue) is sweet but very timid. My previous groomer couldn't finish his tight trim because he is scared of everything especially the blow dryer. I turned to a facebook group (Aussies of Charlotte) to ask about my baby's issue and recommendation. This is where it lead me too. I decided to give this groomer a try and talked to the groomer about all of the issues. They are very understanding and patient with him. I dropped him off in the morning and picked him up about 1.5 hour later. I love it that this spa is cage free. Not only this place a spa, they also sell treats, supplies, food, and toys. Our family dog chance didn't have a great start in life so when we adopted him we committed to spoil him every chance we got. I first went to Dog Bites because they were right next to grapevine and I liked the idea of a beer while I waited. While that is still a nice perk it's not why I come anymore. The owners are wonderful and so kind. They spoil chance and love seeing him. They do a fantastic job grooming him and have a treat selection chance loves. We are from out of state and were in the area visiting family. We were recommended Riverwalk as a nice area to explore and walk our dog. We came across this shop and loved it. The folks are so friendly and the atmosphere was great. We were able to take our time and not feel rushed or as if they were trying to sell us. They also have a nice cat section which I appreciate as most shops I visit have the tiniest selection for cats. I'm sure we'll be back next time we're in the area! read more

My pup got groomed at dog bites today and it was a great experience! The dogs aren't kenneled which is awesome for my dog who has some separation anxiety and is never in a crate. The ladies were kind and the whole experience only took an hour. Convenient location, and there is also a cute shop with tons of supplies for your dog! Not very welcoming or friendly. Business is business- it shouldn't matter if customers do not look like the majority. We brought in our mini golden doodle and asked for a 'teddy bear' look. Her fur was uneven all throughout her face. Our dog is about one in age, which means she probably was unsure about this place, as all new pets would be if they step into unfamiliar territory. We've had her groomed before and others have worked well with her to get a nice even trim. As of now, our dog is unrecognizable and will have to wait for her fur to grow back. This place does not know how to handle pets! Do not take your pets to get groomed! We just moved into the area and needed a new groomer for our Shitzhu. We picked this place because they say they don't have cages or kennels and that this helps reduce stress. Sounds like they really care about your pets' emotional state. Well, I was wrong. We came to pick him up and he wasn't ready yet. We saw him still getting groomed but with a cone on him and two people holding him down. WHAT IN THE WORLD?! I might expect this from a dog that has never been groomed so they are afraid but my dog has been to a groomer since he was a puppy and he goes every month. He is used to it. When they finally brought him out, the staff stated we should look into calming meds for the dog. NO THANK YOU! All I hear is cute funny stories from my two previous groomers and the games they play every time I pick him up from grooming. Now this place wants me to drug my dog up?! Bye! Zero stars! Our dog was traumatized for a week since he got groomed. Avoid this place. They don't know ANYTHING about caring for your lovely pets. read more

Got an appointment that day! They have longer hours than other places so it's easy to accommodate most schedules. Very patient and gentle care. My baby is a calm Bichon/poodle mix and is very sensitive and traumatized by cages and barking dogs. He was also a rescue. So needless to say, I really love this place. read more
