In today's economy, not to mention day and age, I find it difficult to believe that someone can be belittled after meeting them for 20 seconds. I paid for the bombshell blonde package and these were the results that even the owner/stylist, Crystal, states looks like 6-8 weeks of grow out. Additionally you can see a lack of blending, bleeding, and brassiness. All which led me to having corrective services 3 days later. I had one consultation and 3 service appointments at Adrift. As stated previously, while I wasn't fully satisfied with the first two service appointments, I thought they were a result of communication issues. It is not uncommon that results may not be exactly as you hoped, it was only after the results below from my 12/30/25 appointment that it was obviously not a matter of miscommunication and I decided not to return and sought another professional's opinion 3 days later. Based on their shock at the condition of my hair, I privately messaged the salon to provide feedback. I did not ask for a refund. When Crystal responded by saying the pictures were not of her work, I decided to write a review in an attempt to warn others. It's my belief that mistakes happen, but when the person is unwilling to recognize a need for improvement they will likely make the same mistake again. This mistake cost me not only money, but time, stress, and confidence. I received a legal threat from the salon in response to my honest review and even though my review was posted more than 6 months ago she is still updating her response to the review which includes a false accusation of me including misleading pictures. The pictures were taken within an hour of my last appointment at Adrift Hair on 12/30/25. They have not been altered and are a true representation of what my hair looked like as a result of Crystal's work on 12/30/25. Beyond the undesirable hair results, the owner's response to constructive criticism is the reason for my 1 star review.

The salon itself is incredibly modern and welcoming, it's honestly beautiful inside. Laura D. cut my hair and she was so thorough and very meticulous throughout the whole process. I brought in inspo photos to show her what I wanted- in the end, she gave me exactly that! Rarely do I ever leave a haircut 100% happy, but not in this case! After exploring several salons in the triangle, and unhappy with the results after most, I am so glad I found this Salon and had Laura do my hair. I smile every time I look in the mirror now - it's such a great feeling. Thank you so much- I will be back!!

She colored my hair to perfectly match the extensions. I had brought a picture to the consultation and my hair looks exactly like the picture. This was one of the best experiences I've ever had in a salon. I am now a lifetime client. I'll continue to wear extensions even after my hair is long again, in order to add volume to my fine hair. I'm starting to get some gray hairs and she is now my colorist for life! I've had my extensions for three weeks now and they are wearing perfectly. I feel so pretty!

The last time I went to this salon, my experience was disappointing. $40 for a haircut and $15 for a trim. What is the difference? Not to mention, the stylist (Tiara) does not seem knowledgeable on natural type 4 hair and did a less than average job giving me full highlights. I paid almost $300 for full highlights, and after she was done you couldn't even see them. Not to mention, she kept recommending me products that were not economical by any means and in general couldn't give me solid hair advice. If you wanna go to this salon, don't book her.

I have a new home now and stylist who will go above and beyond to help me on my new journey. The first thing that scored points for me is how easy it was to book a last minute appointment by phone. I really hate the online booking systems stylist have you go through hoops to book with them. The required deposits like I'm renting an apartment. Ain't nobody got time for all of that when you're busy !!!!! Pretty Mane treats clients like human beings. I booked an appointment with Tiara on a Friday evening for the next day. The phone etiquette they extended was phenomenal. This salon is very pretty and feminine. Beautiful colors. Once I arrived Tiara greeted me and took my temperature. I scheduled services to remove a sew in, Silk Press and dust my ends. Tiara is extremely kind and professional. She did not take another client while styling me. She did not rush through my service. She took her time and was meticulous. She cleansed my hair perfectly. She didn't overuse shampoo, scrub hard or use products to weigh my hair down. She finger detangles your hair and did not abuse a comb or wrestle with my curls. When she finger detangled the conditioner is really worked and I was very impressed by this technique. The wash chairs were extremely comfortable with a leg rest to elevate your tired feet. Tiara used the perfect temperature to wash and rinse my hair. She did a really good blow out and the press was perfection. Lastly she wrapped my hair and sat me under the dryer to lock the moisture in. Loved this technique ! My hair has a lot of body and shine. We discussed products and the new GK smoothing treatment that is best if you want to have less frizz and versatility as a natural. I can't wait to visit Tiara again and bring my little girl. I am truly 100% satisfied with my experience today. That's a lot coming from me. There are a lot of talented stylists who work here. From natural, sew-ins, color, braids, Brazilian blow outs.
