Robin is very attentive to how you want your hair cut and styled. She's friendly and professional. I have no problem recommending Robin.

I'm typing this on behalf of my husband. I do not recommend Shear Talent for men's haircut. The usual salon where I take my husband was booked for the holiday so I made an appointment at ST for him to get a buzz cut (he's partially bald). I informed them at the time of the appointment that he has moderate dementia. Also asked when I made the appointment if they'd trim his brows and was told yes. When we walked in I asked the stylist if she could also shave his chin since he has five o'clock shadow and his hair is coarse making it difficult to shave him with a razor. She agreed. He got the buzz cut - not the greatest - but nothing else. The stylist brought him back to the reception area and told me she couldn't shave him because he wouldn't lift his chin but cleaned up the sides. I was incredulous as nothing on his face was trimmed. I asked her if she could at least trim his brows. She got her scissors and a comb and trimmed the middle of his brows and told me I could do this at home. Poor experience, no effort made by the stylist to satisfy the client's needs. read more

My hair stylist (Kylie) is a hair saver... literally. I've been going to her for almost 3 years and she has worked wonders on my hair. when she was on maternity leave, I saw another stylist (Johnny) and unfortunately, he over processed my hair and a good bit of it broke off. As furious as I was, Kylie came to the rescue and blended in those pieces and gave me a mixture of highlights and lo-lights. If you are thinking of going to Shear Talent... definitely go see my girl Kylie. She's one of the top stylists there!!! read more

I loved my stylist here. Unfortunately, the salon owners found out that she was getting another job. The salon called me 3 hours before my appointment and canceled me (after I had confirmed the day before!) I sent my stylist a facebook message and she called me and said she was currently at the salon in the middle of a client and had intended on keeping our appointment. She also said this meant the salon would fire her after she finished her client. This is extremely unprofessional of the owners and I'm not sure how they've stayed in business this long if they think canceling last minute is okay because it's not. It's spiteful toward the employee and NOT client service-focused. Please do yourself a favor and find a salon that cares about the satisfaction of their clients. read more

Look out! Everyone is ready to be on the runaway after they get done styling your hair. These people are so up to date with style and fashion that they will give any age group the right look. You can't beat the prices neither. Everyone works so hard there to give everyone great low prices on their services that these people deserve a good tip. Take it for what it's worth. These people are very talented and good communication is everything with these people so they can give you the most fulfilling look. Even when I first went to Shear Talent and Adam did my hair, he was a beginner at doing hair but he made my hair look so good that I couldn't believe it after I got the blonde and red toner in my hair. Thank you everyone at Shear talent for being the best at what you do. read more

It was pathetic experience. I and my sister went for blow out they ended up using curling irons while we wanted brush curls. They don't know the ABC of blowout at all. My baby hair were all up and they had no energy to do a good blow out at all. They made my hair look worst on my baby shower. They think only back of the hair matters while front is so important so she didn't even bring dryer to the front part of my hair. All that time she didn't let me look in the mirror. I regret going there never going back. I could have done way better job myself. read more

Do not go-worst haircut ever! Denise was awful and so rude to my daughter, didn't say so much as two words to her while quickly cutting her hair into a layered disaster. I would never recommend anyone get a haircut there especially from her. She left my daughter in tears. read more

I have been looking for a hair salon in the area that could do my hair as requested and that has reasonable prices. I can say shear talent did a great job of doing that! I was with Nikki today and she was friendly and did a wonderful job of doing something fun and fresh with my hair. She was personable and helped me figure out just what I needed. She did a fantastic job of waxing my eyebrows too. I was really impressed with the cost of such a pleasant experience compared to many other places I've gone in the south hills. I will be recommending and returning in the future! read more

i loved the color that she did but I was told on the phone, and in person that a cut (less than an inch) and color was $120, after my hair was finished I go to pay with a giftcard that was my present and only had $120 on it since they ALSO told my aunt it would only be $120, well it came to $160 plus a $30 tip. so close to $200 after I was told twice it was $120 and my aunt who has been coming here for years was told $120. very very disappointed cause I'd love to come back again, but the fact they lied to me twice and my aunt, and I am a single mother of 2 who can't afford an extra 80$ was insanely disappointing. i suggest asking 10 more times and even recording their answer since they decided to add on all that extra money for zero reason and without warning! (I even told my stylist that I didn't need my hair blow dried bc I didn't want to get charged anything extra, she insisted it wouldn't be and 15 mins later im paying $70 over what I should. very very upset! read more

If I could leave no stars I would. I went in with an idea in mind asking for an angled hair cut qne I wanted my ends lightened. I got ends DARKENED and when she did my roots...dye was all over my forehead and ears. The hair washer did try to get the dye off my neck and forehead but after sitting and soaking in for 40 mins it wasnt going to be an easy clean up. I am still trying to get the dye off my skin and all in my ears. When I spoke to the manager she was incredibly rude and reference HER client as having stringy hair. Not something you should be saying to another client. Once my hair was cut I asked what happened to the angled cut and she said my hair was to long. My hair is right at shoulder length and I was cutting an inch off with the angle. But she said she couldn't do it. I am incredibly disappointed that I not only wasted my money and time but was offered no course of action. Dont go here. read more

I have been going here for awhile. I was always a salon hopper until I came here. I was paired with Nicole who is amazing. She is so easy to talk to and very trustworthy when doing your hair. Recently I went for a quick trim at another salon thinking it would be convent and not that big of a deal and they ended up cutting off 4 inches. Not a happy day.. I called Nicole and she helped make my hair look long again( of course with extensions) but blended my ugly blunt messed up hair disaster with the extensions and you can't even tell that I got my hair all cut off. She is spot on with color and will listen to what you want. I would recommend her 100% and feel grateful for finding her. read more

I got married on 8/27/16 and two weeks before my wedding, my previous hair stylist cancelled on me with very little notice. I scrambled to find a new hair stylist and was recommended Nicole at Shear Talent in Bethel Park, PA. Nicole reached out to me right away and was very accommodating with setting up a hair trial for me literally a week before my wedding. On the day of my wedding, Nicole traveled to me all the way to Cranberry Township. She did a fantastic job and it was exactly what I dreamed of for my wedding day. She also did my mom's, sister's, and my maid of honor's hair and they all looked stunning. Nicole was very professional, arrived early and was just an overall pleasant gal to be around. She took her time to make sure each one of us was satisfied with our looks. Not to mention, all of our hair stayed put all the way until the late of the night! I would recommend Shear Talent and Nicole to all of my newly engaged friends! read more
