I iced my eyes with a bag of frozen peas (as recommended) every hour for 15 minutes for the first 5 days and my bruising was at a minimum. I speak the same language, and to be honest it seemed like the waxer was not being fair towards the trainee (telling her to do something and then getting upset at her for doing as she was told). It was a very uncomfortable and tense atmosphere. 2. The woman who did my waxing kept trying to thread my face. I do not like threading but she didn't listen to me. She said she is very skilled at threading, which I'm sure she is, but that's not what I wanted. If she can't do just a face wax and has to thread, she should inform the client of that before the appointment begins. She ended up just waxing but was very upset about it. 3. She kept slapping the wax paper on my face. LITERALLY. She was hitting my face with her open palm and an unnecessary amount of force. My face kept jolting every time she did it due to sheer force. I told her if she does it again I would be leaving. She told me "you never told me that I was doing it too hard"...I'm sorry, do I have to tell you not to slap something onto my face??? What kind of logic is that for a beauty salon? After I said this, she said "Well I told you threading would be better". It felt like she was just upset I told her not to thread my face and was being petty. 4. She raised the price of the service. It was supposed to be $25 (I got it without the neck), but she said it was being changed to $45. I told her that isn't fair, as the sign says $25.
