She's the owner and has no help but she works fast. Typically a cut and color would take over 2 hours but I was done after a little over 1 1/2 hours. The consultation was simple, I gave her free reign but just chose the color and length. I was very happy eith the end results. Don't expect a super modern facility. She's been open 7 years and has no staff or help but she put me at ease, gave professional feedback and I trusted her process. FYI she works on appointment only do make sure to call ahead. Because we had to diffuse my hair, I ended up spending a lot of time uncomfortably draping my body low on the chair, as told to do by my stylist. I wish they had a recliner or a better way to diffuse my hair - it was incredibly uncomfortable. For such a high end salon, I feel like there needs to be a better way! Vibe seems very cold and I did not feel good upon leaving. I was sold up on some curl shampoo, conditioner, and post shower leave in - and felt I couldn't refuse. I started to take a photo of the label so I could buy it separately later, and the stylist said "Well where else are you going to buy it? No one else carries it". I bought them since she had talked them up the whole appointment and the pressure was high. Turns out they haven't worked very well for me, despite being told I needed to use something better to get rid of all the "buildup" I had on my hair from my other shampoo/conditioner. I followed every instruction given by my stylist but using LESS product actually has been the best thing I could do. She gave me a hug when I was leaving - trying to mend the blow of a $250+ purchase I guess. I also was pushed to make a maintenance appointment for 3 months later, which would be about now. I declined. I wanted to see how my hair grew in - since I don't get my hair cut very often. Unfortunately I don't feel comfortable coming back, it was much too expensive for the experience I had. Anyway, I showed him a picture of what I wanted and he brought out the color swatches. We agreed to a brilliant violet/red color and he went to mix the color. When he first put it on it was HOLY crap purple went to bed with pink, I was freaking out. He said, let it sit, it will get more red. It did. Immediately after he washed it everyone in the salon said, OMG I love your color. I must admit, once he started blow drying, I was in love too. The color was exactly what I wanted. I begged him not to cut too much hair and he didn't. The blow out was awesome. He did a fun curl with a brush and gave it lots of volume, I was very happy. So happy in fact that I bought a blow out package just to look like this again. With the fun violet red 'rock star' color a sexy, full bodied wave, damn, I felt like I could take over the world after I left here!
