Upon walking in, I was met with kindness. I also requested that staff wear face covering due to the fragile medical condition of my loved one, and staff was understanding and so helpful. A friend had referred me to Laveli. Unfortunately I was not able to make a hair appointment with this place due to their disrespectful receptionist. For starters she kept asking me to repeat everything. She messed up the service I wanted when she read it back to me, and on top of all this she got the date wrong. The costumer service here sucks.. I asked to speak to the manager and she hung up the phone. Horrible professionalism. Disappointed and wont be bothering attempting for a service here anymore!!!! They need to hire better and much more mature patient receptionists. read more

Unfortunately I have to update my review. At first, I gave a 5 star review, but that was a few years ago. Lately, it just feels like the stylists are over confident and don't take the time and care that they should. It seems like they think I should be grateful they are simply willing to cut my hair. I've seen multiple stylists recently and it's always a less-than-average cut. Oh, and no one wears masks. If you request that your stylist wear one, be prepared to receive attitude or feel like a fool. read more

My mom's recommended this salon for a while and I finally get the hype!! Teresa cut and styled my hair and it looks amazing! With big course curly hair, its always nerve racking having someone new cut your hair. But Teresa was amazing!! They have so many services here- as well as eyebrow threading! I am so happy that Laveli finally opened up inside Closter Plaza. I've been anticipating their grand opening upon seeing them undergo construction the last few months in the plaza. It looks like they have another salon in NYC, and I was pretty stoked as I did some research and their NYC location has great reviews (their NYC location is called Lovella West). Anyway, I dropped in yesterday after my Whole Foods run and yes, they're finally open for business! The salon is super sleek and the staff are extremely friendly and talented. It also looks like they already know how to run things smoothly because there were no hiccups. Must be from their training in their NYC location, haha. I saw Oded for a blowdry and he gave me the most beautiful voluminous curls a girl can ask for (not to mention the amazing head massage given during my hairwash). My hair is holding up even on a rainy day like today! PS: They offer beverages such as water, tea, cappucinos, espressos, etc. Their cappucino is to DIE for. Do try. read more

Another excellent haircut at Laveli Salon in Closter plaza with Jane! You definitely do not need to go into NYC for an excellent mens haircut that is stylish and on-trend. The prices are salon prices but this is no barber shop, as they offer surprisingly great espresso, drinks and snacks with your haircut and the environment is upscale and spa-like. An oasis from regular suburban strip mall hair cut places and I highly recommend it. read more

Giulia has been doing my hair for many years. She does an amazing job with everything but I especially love her keratin treatments and blowouts. I discovered this place on my way to Whole Foods. Conveniently located next to Target and other stores, it has a modern vibe to it. I initially went in to get my toddler's haircut and hairstylist, Julie asked me what I wanted to do with his hair. When I let her know that I wanted to grow it out, she suggested I come back because it wasn't long enough to style it yet.
