I suffered through many horrific experiences with inexperienced hair stylists on the Vineyard before getting into a groove with Wave Lengths. I came in for the first time after a particularly poor cut which left me tilting my head to one side in order to make my hair look even. There was at least an inch difference from one side to the other. Missy repaired the damage and gave me the best hair cut I'd had in years. After that, I flew back to her loving embrace every couple of months. They are open year round (bonus points, as always) and are known as the best place on the island to accommodate wedding parties. They offer a full service spa and are centrally located with a nice parking lot so no need to fight for a space in August. If you need to feel stylish, gorgeous and pampered- and what girl doesn't?- pick up the phone and make yourself an appointment at Wave Lengths. I brought a picture of a short layered cut and told her it absolutely had to be wash and wear as I am not good with hair. She did a wonderful cut...probably the best one I've ever had and my mother was a hairdresser!!! Nicole is there Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday. I highly recommend her. Thanks Nicole. I was on my honeymoon and me and my husband decided to get massages. I requested a deep tissue…read moremassage. I've had them before so I know that you're going to be sore the next day. But the pain was excruciating within a few hours. The massage therapist Camilla was very nice, but she focused too much on my spine and tail bone even after I told her I have injuries from a car accident. That night I took a hot bath, iced it then took motrin. Still horrible pain. I got maybe 4 hours of sleep. I couldn't get comfortable because I was in so much pain. I sent them an email about this and they got back to me very fast. I spoke to Yvonne and she was so understanding and apologized. I explained the pain etc. She listened intently and didn't come off as defensive or anything. She did give me a full refund and she said she would talk to the massage therapist to see what happened. She also gave me some recommendations to help the pain. I am very hesitant to return, but since the customer service was so great I may give them another try in the future.

Dana gave me a careful and meticulous one hour scissors cut-and still did it in 10 minutes. :) She is very professional, but yet easy and fun to talk to.
