When I finally asked how much longer it would be, I was told that the stylist I had booked hadn't shown up but another stylist would take me. I was there for color but once my color was put on, no one checked on me with the exception of once asking if I wanted water (there was no coffee or tea on offer) then I was stuck at the wash basin for 10 minutes unattended with the staff who washed my hair just walking away with no notice. Finally, when the color was washed out, I mentioned that it was too dark and the stylist apologized by saying that it was the first time that she had used that brand of color. The cost at Darya is the same as that at RJ Miller which offers much more professional treatment of its clients - tho it is mid-island and not in walking distance of downtown. RJ Millier also constantly checks in with the client and offers coffee and tea and not just water - a standard courtesy at most salons charging similar prices. Unless you are in a pinch and Darya is the only place to get an appointment when you need it, I would suggest other island salons.

She then said 2pm. Why wouldn't she suggest that in the first email if it's just 30 minutes earlier Anyway, I agree to it, and she said great, 7/29 at 2pm. I then get an email confirming an appointment for Saturday- so I replied to confirm I booked it for Friday. Her response? Scroll up and you'll see we agreed on 7/29. I didn't double check if the 29th was a Saturday so I suppose that's my fault? I then asked her to have a manager call me and she said she is the manager and they're busy in the summer and there is nothing they can do. And that was it. Very seriously, start here with Diava and be done with it. Great, great cut, beautiful style, relaxing, fun, interesting, wherever you personally need to just feel appreciated! Diava is incredibly kind, accommodating and professional! I can't tell you how glad I am to have found her, I will be back for a very long time. There have only been 2 people in my entire life who have known how to cut my hair and Diava is one of them. She met me at the door and was super friendly from the get go.
