I told her I wanted a French tip. Her response was, "I don't have time to do that." I was completely caught off guard. I asked why, especially since a French tip would only add a few extra minutes. She told me I hadn't added it when booking. Since it was my first time at the salon, I genuinely didn't realize that was something I needed to select separately. I also don't remember seeing anything that made that clear when I booked. I politely asked if there was a reason she couldn't accommodate it, and she continued to tell me she didn't have time and that I should go somewhere else. Other women who were there getting their nails done even looked confused by the interaction. I ultimately left with half of my nails filed and in tears. When I checked out, I explained what happened to the front desk, and while they apologized, I was told there was nothing they could do. As a professional, I understand that appointments have time constraints and that certain services may need to be booked in advance. But the way this situation was handled was completely unacceptable. Luxe Salon didn't just lose my business--they lost the business of people I would have recommended them to as well. Shortly after, the manicurist with whom I had booked my appointment briefly acknowledged me, saying she would be with me soon. Around 1:10 PM--over 20 minutes past my scheduled time--I was finally escorted to her station. At that point, I mentioned that I had a combination of gel and dip powder on my nails and asked whether that would be an issue. In hindsight, I recognize this is something I should have clarified before booking, and I'll be more mindful of that going forward (not at this salon). The manicurist told me she hadn't brought the tools required to remove dip powder and began discussing the situation with the technician beside her. One of the first things her colleague asked was, "What time is your next appointment?" They then reviewed her schedule on her phone and concluded there wasn't enough time to complete my service--despite the fact that the delay was on their end, and we were already well into my appointment slot. Throughout this exchange, they spoke quietly among themselves rather than directly addressing me. Feeling dismissed and frustrated, I got up and went to the front desk to ensure my card on file wouldn't be charged, as the salon requires credit card information when booking. The receptionist, who appeared visibly irritated, reiterated that there wasn't sufficient time for the service. When I pointed out that my appointment had begun over 20 minutes prior, she curtly replied, "Well, that's because that was the club owner." The implication--that the owner's time was more valuable than that of a paying client--was both baffling and disappointing. The lack of professionalism and communication left me with a deeply negative impression. I sincerely hope this feedback encourages more respectful treatment of all clients, regardless of their status.

I actually received a style I've been longing for, recommendations on bang length, curl/wave/body kept and styled, to make me feel beautiful. Came back again (a few months later) for enhanced grey coloring/touch ups. Cassie combined several grey tones and worked her magic. The next day though, is telling of true magic (the washing of my hair).
