I'm still incredibly happy with my cut however I'm incredibly unhappy about my coloring. 4 days after leaving I washed my hair and my hair turned VERY yellow/gold--exactly what I said I didn't want. I messaged her on a Monday--she responded the next day and apologized and told me "sometimes with the lightning it ends up being a bit yellow" (that's never happened to me). Requested I give it a few more washes and another week and she would then tone it. (Toning would darken--not lighten). She said she looked over my photos and said when I left the salon she thought she did what I wanted--she did however it washed out. I messaged her to let her know that I went some place else. Where I was informed that she did not leave it on my hair long enough and it was not blended well at all. I had paid $360 (with tip, to Mallory). She not only didn't offer to refund ANY of my money, she also didn't even apologize that I had went someplace else. I would never go back to her based on the lack of response and refund. Terrible.

I was in the area for my cousin's high school graduation. My cousin wanted to get her hair done for Prom, and found this place on her own through internet searches. She made a reservation based on good reviews she read. We got there a bit early and they got her in right away. She showed her stylist a photo of the kind of hairstyle she wanted, which was braids in the front connecting to a bun in the back (I'm doing a poor job of describing it, but it's a fairly simple style). The stylist started doing something, then undid it because it didn't look right, then tried something else again, and was clearly struggling a bit with my cousin's Asian hair (very straight and sleek). I don't blame her for this, since our hair texture can be tricky to work with if you don't have a lot of experience with it. After about half an hour of this she asked a senior stylist for help, which I thought was very appropriate. But then the senior stylist said to my cousin, "You need to make up your mind about what you want to do, because we can't be trying a million different styles. We're wasting a lot of time." I had been watching the whole time from the waiting area, and her attitude and tone of voice with my cousin made me really angry because she was trying to blame the problem on my 17yo cousin. I didn't say anything at the time because I didn't want to make the situation worse by making them mad, thereby risking them messing up my cousin's hair. The senior stylist did end up making it work out and the final hairstyle looked good (hence the 4 stars), but her attitude the whole time trying to make my cousin feel like she had done something wrong left a bitter taste in both our mouths.

They did not rake and break my hair with a fine toothed comb. Unfortunately, one of my gel nails chipped and fell off before the 24-hour mark. FYI, gel manicures usually last about two weeks for me. I was on vacation so I reached out to the manicurist on social media to give her the feedback and all I got was a "That should NOT have happened." I called the salon hoping they would be a little more apologetic and the person that answered was extremely cold and unhelpful. I told her that I basically didn't have a manicure anymore and she responded, "Umm, you definitely still have a manicure." She said I could get a 50% refund or could come in when I was back to have them fixed. I knew they would have been grown out by that time - little did I know, they would all peel off before the end of my trip. I guess I was looking for either a full refund or a free manicure since I had spent $70 and left a very generous tip but apparently they don't really care about customer retention.
