She was very honest and open in saying we weren't going to get there in one cut due to previous cut at another salon. I knew going in it was going to be a process to get the hairstyle that I wanted given the condition of my hair. I was pleasantly surprised at the foot stools to make your dryer time and hair wash more comfortable. From my initial call to the salon through the entire process, everything was pleasant, relaxing, explained thoroughly, and ended well! Each individual has unique hair that responds and behaves in a unique manner . It takes time for a stylist to learn your growth rate of hair and the quirks of your hair. It is literally a process, that requires patience and the building of the relationship. If you're going in for a color, the initial cost, depending on the condition of your hair, may be more because more work and product may be needed. Regular maintenance reduces that issue for most. So, additional costs for extra product was not a problem. I now have the baseline to get my hair where I want it to be. I had a wonderful experience, a very peaceful and relaxing experience. I saw Nicole for a Brazilian treatment and highlights/cut. I immediately started saying I didn't think it looked right and it had too much of a reddish tone somehow and wasn't dark enough and she straight up just told me it looked exactly how it was supposed to and I needed to see it in different lighting. But I was telling her it didn't look right and she didn't careI felt so uncomfortable and it was so late I knew she was just rushing me out. She kept saying "don't you love it?!" Over and over and I felt so uncomfortable I just said yes and left. I tried really hard over the last few days to get used to it and like it but it's the exact opposite of what I wanted and I'm beside myself that I spent $300 for my hair to look horrible. Stylists: your clients are literally always right. Hate to break it to you but it's THEIR body. If they don't like it, no matter what the excuse, fix it. Don't argue with them. The salon refused a refund but offered to have a more "experienced" stylist redo it the following week. I lost half a day and no longer have confidence in the salon's ability to provide services for my wedding party. After I asked to speak with someone above the salon manager, my calls were screened, went unanswered, or I was left on hold for extended periods. When I called from a different number, however, my calls were answered quickly. I truly did not want to leave a negative review. Making this right would have been incredibly simple with a refund for a bridal trial that their own team acknowledged was not acceptable work.
