I was looking for a trustworthy stylist around this area and stumbled upon a hair salon that…read morecarries organic products. Organic hair salon Antonio Marin popped up and I called him and he was available the next day. I saw his reviews and pictures on his website and I liked what I read. What I liked even more is how his products aren't harmful towards the hair. I wasn't sure what I wanted to do but his expertise guided me in the right direction for healthy hair and amazing color. There was a bit of a language barrier because we were both trying to communicate in English Spanish and Portuguese LOL. But I was able to understand the treatment and steps he was doing to my hair. At first I thought the price was a little bit high and although I received 25% because I was a first time customer, it was still confusing why I ended up paying more than I should. I thought at first he just applied a single hair color but he also added a product that helps clean my hair from impurities prior to applying the hair. Apart from that misunderstanding, I'm very satisfied with my hair color. He also added a complimentary conditioner treatment. It is very natural and the more I wash my hair, it will get lighter on the end creating a honey effect, which against the dark just makes it very natural. I liked his personality, and I liked that he listened to me I do believe it was great quality for the price. I will definitely come back to him in the near future and I definitely recommend him to anyone who's looking at going darker or going lighter. He has healthy products, he does not damage the hair, and he takes his time. I was the only client apart from two staff workers. The place is open and spacious very clean and I liked that I put on a nice sheer robe to not stain my shirt. Thanks again Antonio!

Oh and she's pricey for no reason, her work is horrible.

I have done my hair with Leyvis for years. Recently, I went for a haircut and highlights. After…read moreexplaining what I would like (a blunt shoulder length haircut with no volume) she said that haircut was the "mob wife aesthetic" and began cutting. She then proceeded to do my highlights. I promptly tell her not to dry my hair but she proceeds to do it anyways to "check my color". When she finishes, she asks to take my picture for instagram (I am a very private person and am not on social media), I tell her no several times to which she replies with an attitude "but I dried your hair" (A service that I actually denied). Looking in the mirror, I was not happy with my haircut but wanted to leave quickly after that awkward moment so I didn't say anything. A decision I have come to regret. A couple of days later, when I washed and dried my own hair, I see that she did not do a blunt haircut with no volume. She actually layered my hair all over so much so that my layers look like jagged straw and I can't wear my hair straight. I message her and do not hear back. A couple messages later, she responds that she had not responded because her son had been sick. As a working mom myself, I understand this. Several messages later and she starts giving me the run around about what day and time to come back. Each time I say a day and time, she says that she cannot accommodate for me to come back and redo the haircut that she clearly made a mistake on. Ultimately, she offered me a refund for the haircut and when I agreed to accept the refund, she says that she will no longer be doing my hair. Long story short, I do not recommend Leyvis and her salon. She is unprofessional, moody and clearly cannot admit when she has made a mistake. Go at your own risk.

I found her on Yelp in April and was in desperate need of a new hair stylist, so I decided to make an appointment because she was close by to where I live. The consultation was great because she made sure she understood exactly the overall look that I wanted and she went over the method of how she installs them and gave me step-by-step details of her application process. She is super friendly, professional and talented and 3.5 months later my hair is STILL absolutely beautiful. I have definitely found my new hairstylist/extension queen. Other notes: -Reasonable prices. -Hair consultation/appointment scheduling is conducted via text. -Extensions will last for months. -Parking lot behind the building.

I love how she gave me a consulation and knew exactly what I needed, not only for the sew in but for my natural hair as well (considering I damaged it with wearing wigs excessively). I love that color that she placed on both my natural hair and my bundles, it had a "beyonce" luster to it. It's just so great to have a personal stylist that actually cares about the condition of my hair.

The first time I went to YOP salon, I was quoted $60 for hollywood waves hairstyle after sending…read morereference photos in advance and confirming with Jony Bustamente that he could do the look. Instead, he had the hair washer do my hair and after she styled me, my brand-new extensions (used only once prior) were burned and destroyed beyond repair, the hairstyle requested was not completed, and the back of my hair was left in a tangled, matted mess. When I requested my hair be fixed, Jony Bustamente and his staff were completely dismissive and rude. Reluctantly, because this salon was one of the few open on a Sunday, I reached out again directly to Jony, sending him photos and clearly described my hair type and requested Hollywood waves again. I was quoted $75 if I arrived with dry hair, $85 with a blowout. I asked him why it was 75 and not 60 like the last quote I had, with the same requested hair-do and he claimed it was higher because it was a Sunday. When I arrived: *I was made to wait while the owner bleached another client's hair, despite telling him I was on a strict timeline for a wedding. *He was multitasking throughout my appointment, working on another client at the same time, not giving proper attention to complete my hair appointment. *It quickly became clear he did not know how to do the requested style. *The back of my hair was left severely tangled and matted, leaving me in extreme scalp pain, with chunks of hair teased off of my head, absolutely nothing like the reference photos. At the end, I was suddenly told the price was $100, despite the earlier agreed-upon quote. Due to his attitude and him locking his shop, I felt pressured and trapped into paying the up-charge in order to leave. My hair was left in terrible condition, including visible damage, holes where hair should be, excessive product buildup, and dandruff from his products, despite my hair being freshly washed, clean and treated earlier that day. To make matters worse, I received pestering and inappropriate messages from Jony Bustamente afterward. The fact that he was being nasty with me, trying to blame shift and gaslight me, instead of apologetic showed me that I will never go back to YOP Salon again. No hardworking American should be scammed like this and treated so badly. I saw how he selectively treats certain customers with disregard and disrespect, while sucking up to others. It's outrageous and disgusting! He is nothing but a fraud who takes advantage of unsuspecting customers and cozies up to others with no regard for time and cost. This experience showed a complete lack of professionalism, transparency, and respect for clients' time and boundaries. Pricing was not honored, services were misrepresented, and my hair was damaged--right before an important event. I would strongly advise avoiding YOP Salon. I would never return and would not recommend YOP Salon or Jony Bustamente to anyone. I will guarantee you that he will respond to this review, with more lies and gaslighting, to preserve his ego and continue his nastiness towards patrons. I also noticed his lower rating has been adjusted and negative reviews are hidden. I deserve a full refund, which Jony will not give me because his scam works for him. Avoid Jony Bustamente and YOP Salon at all costs!!! Total thieves.
