It's been almost a month since Deanne did my hair for my wedding day, and I can honestly say she went above and beyond! Not only did I absolutely love that she embraced and styled my natural curls--which can be difficult to find--but she also took the time to listen carefully and adjust every detail to match my vision and expectations. She made the entire experience smooth, stress-free, and enjoyable. Her professionalism, talent, and kindness added so much to one of the most important days of my life. The hairstyle lasted all night and even looked great the next day, despite the Florida humidity! I highly recommend Deanne to anyone looking for a talented hairstylist. The funny part is that I found her through a ChatGPT recommendation! Since I was traveling from New York City to Florida for my wedding, I didn't know any local vendors and needed help finding the right person. Thankfully, I was pointed in the right direction, and I couldn't be happier with the recommendation. Thank you, Deanne, for helping make my wedding day so special. I will always be grateful for the beautiful job you did! read more

Deanna was AMAZING! I hadn't cut/trimmed my hair in 5 years. I knew I wanted to rid of all the damage and started looking for a curl specialist. I found plenty, but many unreasonably overpriced. Even worse, they are booked up 6 to 12 months in advance! I took another go at searching and thats when I found Deanna. I'm so thankful that I found her! Her prices are fair for both her and the client. She is vastly knowledgeable when it comes to curls. And what a peach she is to be around! I've been natural for almost 10 years now, and I thought I had my hair figured out. I was pleasantly surprised to learn so much from Deanna. She walked me thru every step of styling and even offered to style with a product that I already use There was ZERO pressure to buy her products. In turn, that made me happy to purchase product with her. The fact that Deanna has a "compassion menu" and is FULLY inclusive is what really drew me to her. How nice for anybody to feel welcome in her chair at any time! I have my forever fairy curl mother now, and I suggest you support her too! read more

I recently had the pleasure of getting my hair highlights done by Deanna, and I was very impressed with the quality of her work. Not only did she listen carefully to my requests, but she also offered her own expert advice and suggestions to help me achieve the look I was going for. Throughout the appointment, Deanna was friendly, professional, and very skilled. She took her time to ensure that every curl was perfectly styled and that the end result was exactly what I wanted. Overall, I would highly recommend Deanna to anyone in need of a talented and experienced hair stylist. I have very course 3C curly hair and most stylist find my hair hard to maintain but Deanna maintains it. Even more than that she conquers it. She is thorough in her work when knowing how to cut and style. She gives great product advice with every hair type. She'll even suggest styles for everyday wear while showing you how to style it yourself. She inspired me to start my natural hair journey a few years back and she's helped me so much a long the way. Best service I've ever had on my curly hair, Deanna has alot of knowledge about hair, especially curly hair. Deanna was highly recommended to me from a curl friend and I was tired of traveling all the way to the city from Brooklyn just to get a trim. I went in for a shape up which meant just the ends and bangs. I had previously gotten Devacuts in the past so my hair had some grown out layers. Deanna's vibe and energy was refreshing and I was also her first appointment that day. She listened, took her time and did a spectacular job on my hair! She even gave styling tips for more volume; additionally her salon was clean and smelled lovely! I found my permanent stylist! Do not hesitate to go here my BK curlies. read more

Deanna is amazing!! Prior to my appointment she had me gather photos of my hair and photos of my hair goals. I had the expectation that my haircut was not going to be exactly like my hair goals but Deanna did not disappoint! She really listened and provided constructive feedback while guiding me through the curly cut. What really made the whole experience was her instruction on how to achieve the "look" at home. She is a well of knowledge regarding products and techniques (Which is a HUGE plus for someone who is beginner in curl care). I will be recommending Deanna to all my friends and Family. read more

Deanna is awesome! I started getting Devacuts for my hair a few years ago and my hair never quite grew back as much as I'd like. I heard great things about Deanna, and figured I would try going to her. Once I went to Deanna a few months ago, I quickly started seeing changes in how my hair grew and now I only want to go to her! I live in NY though, so I have to wait for her, but it is worth it. She is friendly, and provides quality service and great tips for my curly hair. The Curl Doula is a god sent. She was very helpful with helping me understand my curls. I was kind of just fumbling around before now I actually know what I'm talking about. Gives an amazing cut and actually explains why!!! Some times some stylus just do and you walk away with a bad hair cut. Deanna listens and actually give you the truth about what your hair can actually do. Sometimes what you saw on Pintrest isn't a reality and that's okay. You'll still leave a session with The Curl Doula feeling flawless! read more
