I paid for the cost of having a crown re-cemented upfront, which was $250. They told me they would submit the claim to my insurance and, if the insurance covered the claim, they would reimburse me for what I paid up front. Well, Humana paid the entire bill in full in December 2024. So I went there Jan 2nd and asked them to reimburse me. They said they would "send me a check". Two weeks later, I still had not received the check so I called back to ask where it was. They told me that they were working on it and they would get it to me soon. Their office is simply up the road from me about 10 miles so it shouldn't take two weeks to get me a check. They said "oh they were sorry "but they didn't send the check yet and they would "get on it right away " and they would send it out by the end of the week. Two weeks after that, I called back again because I still hadn't received it, and I was given the same answer. Well, three weeks ADDITIONAL later , I still don't have the check. Total of eight weeks now since I was seen there and after they received payment from me AND and the insurance company ---both in full. So I went back to the office in person on February 11, 2025, to ask them if they could simply credit my credit card that I used to pay the bill when I was there the first time. The same credit card machine is still sitting there on the desk, but for some reason, they don't know how to process a refunder to the original card that I used ?? Never heard of such a thing in my life. I used to do this myself on a daily basis so I know it can be done. The office manager behind the desk said she was unable to do that. Why??? She then said she had to consult with the Doctor Who was in the back working on a patient. When she came back, she said "we don't keep checks in the office "and you'll have to come back tomorrow. We open at 8 AM and we'll be here all day . There was a patient sitting there waiting her turn for an appointment and she witnessed this and thought that it was very unusual as well. I asked the office manager why she couldn't simply process a credit to my credit card and she said she was "simply taking orders from the doctor ". Huh? ???? I've been very sick with an upper respiratory virus for the past three weeks and I'm not supposed to be outside at all. I'm supposed to be in bed resting. This is not a inconvenience to me, it is causing me health issues to have to run out in the cold weather because people refuse to do their damn job.. So, I'm going back again today and they had better give me my money TODAY or they're going to end up in court and having their license revoked for billing fraud. I've already contacted PA Attorney General's office and I have alerted Humana to unethical billing practices by this dentist. I was told by the Pennsylvania Attorney General's office to give them three chances to pay me and then after that, I should file a formal complaint. I have now given them five chances to pay me and they still continue to give me the runaround. This is the last time I'm dealing with this. I'm fully prepared to process my formal complaint if I do not receive payment today. Be warned!! before you go to visit any provider Gather your insurance information together and make sure that they're going to cover the bill BEFORE you pay out-of-pocket! I had authorization for my insurance company, but they insisted on me paying upfront and being reimbursed. This is a practice that needs to be outlawed. FYI: File a complaint with the Attorney General's Health Care Section by: Calling - 1-877-888-4877, mailing in a PDF or submitting an ONLINE Complaint.

I even asked Dr. Heise on my first visit if this was how he operated, his response was No. I would recommend his practice to anyone looking. They are very kind people very knowledgeable and very gentle. I can't speak to other reviews but the receptionist is awesome and has become a friend over the years, the hygienists are very friendly. I don't give praise easily to anyone they must earn it. This practice has done just that. My hope is that they outlive me because I feel that I will never find a replacement that can live up to the standards they have set.

Spent a lot of money and it didn't help, ended up throwing away my glasses cause they made my vision worse. Connie is the best, I could tell when I talked to her on the phone they really care about people and providing a great service, it's not about money. She was so friendly and knowledgeable. Dr. Talamo is very thorough and is not in a rush. He makes you feel comfortable and never makes you feel like you are a bother. You know by the end of the exam you got the best quality exam ever. He explains everything well and is very kind, respectful and has a good sense of humor. What I love about here is he actually lets you see what your prescription will be like and what you can expect when you get glasses. They are honest and don't push you to buy just to make a profit. Also when your glasses come in he takes the time to size them to your face where they are so comfortable you barely notice them. Connie was so helpful with helping me pick out glasses, she had great recommendations but was never pushy, the perfect balance. I don't have insurance and paid out of pocket and it was very reasonable, can't complain at all. Your appointment will take longer than other places but it is so worth the time. My first appointment was for a broken tooth and sensitivity. Due to an "emergency with another patient" my appointment was significantly late and couldn't address everything. On my 2nd appointment, I was given a temporary filling (and several pokes in the eye by someone who should be experienced enough to not be doing that) then told to make an appointment to decide what to do next. When I arrived for that appointment, I was told it was for a cleaning and nothing more. Not to fix the tooth that has been bothering me for months and was "temporarily fixed" in a way that has caused more problems. I would not recommend this dentist to anyone.
