First time here and I am not sure I would go back. The other reviews where it talks about an extended wait time...believe them! I walked in at 1pm on a Saturday. The tables were full, and it's not a very large space to begin with...they have a mix of 4 seat tables and long benches like picnic tables. So it's almost as if you need to plan on eating family style because the space is just very cramped. You order at the counter and your food is brought out to you. It's pretty evident that despite being open for over 8 months, this place is still trying to figure out how to operate. The entire front ordering area was chaos. There was an older woman taking orders and telling folks the wait was 20-30min for all orders. There was another woman trying to take orders, help the back kitchen fill orders, and the owner Adam was barking at the staff about who was waiting for a to go order and who had called in an order, and there was a guy sitting waiting on an order that no one could find, while he's also trying to bring out food from the back...it seriously was comical to watch. Meanwhile there are people still coming thru the door and now the front counter is telling folks the wait for food is 45min. We're not talking about gourmet steaks that take time to cook. This is supposed to be quick fire fresh food that is easily plated; the menu is not extensive. There was a girl in the back who was making the food, trying to plate the to go orders and then also plate the orders for the eat in folks and, to top it off...she's also bringing the food out to the tables! My order of 2 rice bowls took 45min. When handed my order I was offered a free "stack", which is a super small cookie that they charge you $3 for. I didn't take it. I just wanted to leave this noisy, unorganized, chaotic space. I got the bowls home and the rice was cold, the beef bulgogi luke warm...I live less than 10min from this place. The she-sauce is a sweet thick heavy mayo based sauce that to me, does not compliment the meat. I'm used to bulgogi that is tender, flavorful, and with plenty of brown sauce. The meat was tender, but not much flavor. The ginger rice was good, just needed to be warmed up. I gave a sad face rating on the square up app due to the wait time and got a response pretty quickly that told me they were short a cook today and if I didn't come back, oh well, they understand. Interesting reply. I wasn't expecting free food or anything like that, but I was definitely put off by that kind of response. If you ask for feedback, then be prepared for honesty. I don't think this place has figured out how to manage or plan for the ebb and flow of traffic/food orders. Which is sad because they didn't open 2 weeks ago...we're talking about several months of being open. They do not have enough staff to handle the demand and if you don't have a back up cook, then either you grossly underestimated what it takes to manage a restaurant or customer service is not a top priority. If I go back, it will be in a few months, and maybe by then they'll have hired more staff and figured out how to handle more than 4 orders at a time. read more
