The vast majority of motorcycle shops I've encountered, even those selling $40K+ products, don't have a clue about customer service, or just don't even want to bother. This sad reality makes me appreciate it even more when I am fortunate enough to encounter a rare treasure such as Durand's Kawasaki Motorsports. Make no mistake about it: any organization, regardless of what product or service they offer, is only as good as the people who come to work there every day. Durand's is a perfect example of this, from the owner, Tim Durand, to the Parts & Service Manager, Sean, to the superb Techs that I've worked with, Vinny & Steve. All of these people truly GET it, and the main reason for that is that they CARE. If you're looking for frills or theatrics, this is not your destination...but if what you're drawn to is substance (honesty, fairness, product knowledge, enthusiasm, top-level mechanical skills and an environment that makes you feel like you're among friends), don't look any further, because Durand's Motorsports is your place. I took a basic welding class to make a barn star at the Garrison Speed Shop in Mendon,…read moreMassachusetts. I have never welded before or used some of the tools and equipment required. The template pieces were all laid out, but that was it. Co-founder Luke had me read and sign all the releases first, and asked about my experience with welding etc. Being a Veteran myself, Luke as well, and the non-profit supporting Veterans and First Responders, he also made sure to ask me if loud noises or anything would bother me. Every step was explained and demonstrated before I was able to do it, and as nervous as I was at first, it quickly went away knowing he took my safety, the safety of others as well as their shop very seriously. Co-founder Ben also provided some muscle when I was unable to bend the metal myself. In just over 2 hours I had sanded, measured, re-measured, bent , hammered and welded together a really cool one of a kind 5-sided barn star. It was definitely something different to do and it was a really cool and fun experience. 5 stars !

Great service! We were stranded an hour away with a leaking radiator. Mike did everything possible…read moreto fix it but there were just so many pinhole leaks from driving through big falls asphalt construction. Grrr. We had a new radiator sent to his shop and he drove it out to install but it turned out the wrong one was sent! Seriously?! Had the correct one sent and he did the same..... after it was delivered to his shop he drove it all the way out to us to install. We are finally on our way! Zip ties on the fuel line , had to fix all the ac work another 2k worth of work he did , brand new brake lines kinked , power steering hose too short and kinked , tranny pan brand new leaking tried using gasket sealer , took parts off damaged paint all over and damaged rocker panel covers , had to also pay someone else to tune the car . Threw away the brake vacuum he put in for another $1000 which was not needed as the engine has plenty of vacuum. I could go on and on never mind the work he did authorization. Horrible experience was awarded payment in court which he has since refused to pay. Stay away from this scam artist !

Sales staff are knowledgeable and ask all the right questions to establish what you want. No high pressure or "you need this..." kind of approach. Service is spot on. Had difficulty shifting to the top cogs on the rear cassette and their mechanic Chris was very thorough. He checked the chain length, the cassette teeth and the shifter itself and the stop screws. It was a bent derailleur hanger. He had it fixed in under ten minutes. Strong recommend.
