On July 12, 2023 Dr. Shawn Kennedy gave me the impression (after looking at x-rays) that he could…read moresave both tooth #21 and tooth #22 with root canals and surgical root resorption repair (fillings). Dr. Kennedy was supposed to remove the sutures on August 23rd, however, the office called that morning to say that he would be unavailable. I did not get that message since I was already gone. Instead his assistant tried and could not get them out so she called Dr. Mancia (whom I had not met) to help. The removal of the stitches was a very painful procedure. My gums did not heal and they were causing me pain. Dr. Kennedy recommended I see Dr. Fertik for laser surgery which did not help but cost more money with the evaluation, procedure and follow up appointment. Dr. Fertik mentioned that part of the filling of #21 had become loose. I believe this was due to faulty workmanship from Dr. Kennedy. Dr. Fertik said he would call Dr. Kennedy. I did not hear back from Dr. Kennedy. When I called his office his response through the receptionist was "PULL THE TOOTH" and he did not offer to see me again to check on the loose filling. On February 19, 2024 I went to go to an oral surgeon who lifted out the piece of loose filling. He pulled my tooth #21 on March 15, 2024. I believe that Dr. Kennedy and his office were very unprofessional during this experience. He lacked skill in taking care of my teeth, was uncaring and did not follow through. This whole experience cost me $3,968.75. I could have avoided much of this cost if he would have done a good job with tooth #21. I would not recommend Dr. Kennedy.

Now I've had root canals before, dating back to 1957. That first one took about 3 weeks with many intermediate treatments- most without novocain. These procedures, thankfully, have been refined over the years but I was not expecting the ease and efficiency of Dr Ewing's treatment. This was a breeze. I was in and out in about an hour and was absolutely, positively pain free. The office followed up the next day and I reported no discomfort whatsoever. I enthusiastically recommend the Kennedy practice and Dr James Ewing if you need this kind of work.

From my experience, go anywhere but here. Anxiety is not tolerated in this clinic. Anxiety affect…read moremillions of dental patients every day. I was "fired" as a patient for having dental anxiety due to a previous trauma. Dr. Quilhot during my first two appointments made his frustration & irritation with me clear. I came back to support local versus going to Asheville or Sevierville for dental care, but today was told by Dr. Quilhot not to come back. I don't know why they have a service dog if they're not capable of treating patients with anxiety. I thought I found a dentist that was caring. I was wrong. Dr. Quilhot is judgmental & is callous when it comes to dental patients with anxiety. I came in for an appointment which in itself causes me anxiety. Today I left with a few issues & a few appointments on the books to take care of them little by little, so yes I was a little worried knowing I'm looking at about 4 appointments in the near future + an impression. The front desk here then told me my insurance would cover $0 of a crown. So then there's $930 I owe on top of numerous appointments that make me anxious. I was emailing back & forth with them about my insurance because I saw it did cover some when I logged in as a member. Dr. Quilhot called my emails "tense" & fired me as a patient. At the end of our exchange, Dr. Quilhot went so far as to blame me for taking up his time during his lunch. No one made him respond to my emails. I hadn't even expected a response immediately. I didn't demand an immediate response. In no way did I force him to email me back, but yet he's annoyed I took up his time. The patient should not be shamed for the provider's inability to deal with anxious patients in a reasonable manner, which is what Dr. Quilhot did today. Shame on this clinic for shaming their patients.

I rarely give 5 stars on any review if you look at my history…read more I was a little apprehensive at first since there were no reviews about it. It is in my insurance network though and I had an appointment the day after I called. Which was great for my schedule and timing for me. While they may not have the fancy cubicles, equipment and adornments in the dental area here. It has a nice feel and contemporary casual aspect, no pretense and comfortable. I like how it has a quality feel with no pretense. They are respectful of peoples needs, but do not linger on them, they are nice people and provide professional and efficient service. You may not see a computer, but they get the job done. I know what my insurance covers before I go into any medical appointment and they knew what my coverage was also. win win in my book! I have been to other places with all the razz mataz tech set up, but still could not get my name right in the system. They greet you by name and remember the little things here, which makes the visit comfortable and less stressful. I have a real and lingering phobia/stress about dental work and dread even a simple cleaning. The staff is friendly and Dr. Isaac Quilhot is very professional and straight forward on what he will and can do. (The best looking Dentist I have ever been to also!) On my first visit I was there to see if I could save a crown, that was bothering me. Dr. Isaac was straight forward on what we could do and the cost estimate to save it verse other options. I liked the pull it and do an implant later option he purposed. I was not really mentally ready to have it pulled that day, but he was confident he could do it efficiently and with minimal stress on me. I liked his approach and agreed to do it, which was a pretty amazing thing for me to do. He pulled the tooth for me and made it bearable and minimized my stress issues with it all. I do not regret going with his proposal and plan. If he sees an issue, he will address it there and then, without another appointment. Which is nice, but depends on that days schedule. The 2nd visit was my cleaning, which went well and was efficient and well done. The 3rd was my replacement filling, which went well and was done efficiently and as best it could with my issues. The shots he gave me were done with care and considerations. I had no lingering affects later and no jaw pain the next day or the day of. I wish the arms on the chairs were longer so I could have gripped them (white knuckled them) , I am a tall person though. I made it through with my issues though and Dr. Isaac ( that's what they call him) was done in 30 min as he said it would take. It was not a rush job, just efficient and focused effort. Which I appreciate and returned for. The equipment may not be all fancy and you may not see a lot of frills in the cubicles (great TV though!) but it is comfortable and very efficient and everything is done with professional confidence and care. The prices are very good and affordable, I like the place as much as a person can with Dentist work issues. I recommend it to anyone, that is needing efficient, focused, caring and straight forward care and dental work. My family is now seeing Dr. Isaac also. If your the type that needs to talk to the postal counter person or checker at the grocery store for an extra 5 - 10 min, while there is a line behind you. Please don't go in. I don't like waiting in a dentist office anymore than having the work actually done. If you value straightforward, efficient quality care that is done with confidence and professionalism, this is the place for you! I had work done here 3 x in a month and very happy about my experience and the work that was done. I will actually go in for my 2nd cleaning this year sometime, which I have never done before. Thank you Dr. Isaac and Staff!

I chose to be awake. I did not feel a thing. I could hear my teeth being ripped out. Later on, I transferred to a relaxed state due to medication. I fell onto my Nana's white couch, the perfect place to be when bleeding from the mouth. The surgeon's assistant accidentally disposed of my removed teeth. I have no trophies. Rock-C is amazing. They were fantastic with scheduling. They understood about scheduling my daughter for a summer appointment. Hannah, the surgeon's assistant, is super. She makes you feel comfortable. Dr. Burgon is a true gentleman and treated my daughter wonderfully during all appointments. I explained to Dr. Burgon that my daughter had autism and that that fact was a concern to me. There are few medical studies regarding people with autism under anesthesia. He reassured me. We all decided that partial anesthesia was the best option for my teen. Rock-C was great about changing my daughter's antibiotic regimen to a liquid form from a solid one at almost the last moment. They give thorough instructions for before and after the surgery. They even give you supplies to make life easier during recuperation. As my daughter's surgery was during the summer of 2020, the pandemic was occurring at that time. Rock-C did not take that fact lightly. Patients came in one at a time, and the patients' drivers stayed out. Dentists and oral surgeons do have to follow epidemiological reports during pandemics and plan accordingly. Who knew that less wisdom could be a great thing? Helpful Tips: -You will need transportation after any procedure that involves anesthesia. -Have tea bags for sockets, extra cotton balls and gauze, and soft ice packs. -Investigate soft food options.
