I asked to know the reason and was pretty much told that because I wanted an answer to that question, that was exactly the reason I wouldn't fit in with their practice. Not only does that seem unfair to me, it makes no sense. If you can't ask questions, or get answers, then it's probably best to seek a different provider. That's a really sad state of affairs.

He has now decided he is bored with being a doctor and would rather talk to me about how his geese were eating the grass seed he had put on his lawn to cover a spot that had died. That's all he said the entire time. No talk about my blood pressure being 170/63. No questions about anything. I got my meds refilled and then he got up and walked out. Shame on me for putting up with such an incompetent idiot who would rather be home tending to his geese. I have been complacent about finding a new dr. It's not that easy these days but I will be more proactive after finding out my doctor is really a landscaper. He may have been a good doctor at one time but he forgot to retire. I guess he has gotten comfortable taking peoples money and doesn't care about the Hippocratic oath he took to do no harm. Please do yourself a favor and skip going to this clinic. He said he took several samples and sent them to be tested. We would have to wait until Monday for the results-- it was done on a Wednesday. Hubby and I lived four days in hell, planning on the what ifs. He spent much of the time on the computer, learning everything he can about colon cancer and looking for the best doctors for me, and I spent my time planning, first, the vacation of a lifetime, in a literal sense, and second, how to make my passing as easy on him as possible. We both pretended everything was fine, but we were scared. We have both have had to say goodbye to loved ones who died from cancer. Neither of us slept well. Monday finally rolled around, and we went in. Though we got there on time, we waited in the grubby, dim, consultation room for 20 minutes. We noticed the ad on the wall for Becky Williams real estate, and guessed he was advertising his wife's business... in his office. The leaky roof, and the decor did little for our mood. The place is desperately depressing and I get the feeling that the owners just don't care. So, twenty, scary and depressing minutes later, Dr. Williams comes in with an assistant. They barely acknowledge us, and type away on their computers. As Dr. Williams just starts to talk to us, his cell phone rings. Really? Without apology, he answers it. Hubby gives the assistant a questioning look. She quickly looks back down to her computer. The discussion, of which we can hear both sides, seemed to be about home repairs. I'm like, "oh, so sorry, Doctor, if I am interrupting your kitchen remodel with my potential, life-threatening illness, but I would like to know if I am going to be alive in six months." But, after he was finished with his personal conversation, conducted in front of us, he had good news. The "colony of polyps" seemed to have magically morphed into, "an inflammation". Humm. Colony of polyps, and inflammations-- sure, I can see it. They must both look quite a like. Or not. So, five nights of living hell, reduced to an oopsie. My question is, why didn't he simply call me on Friday afternoon when the test results were in? It would have cut our worrying time in half. And why did he say anything at all about what he found, when he could have simply said the he would have the results for me once they were returned from the lab? We won't be returning to this place-- it is depressing and this doctor is not someone who seems to be on my side. But really, I hope we didn't cut into your home repair schedule.

He had been storytelling during the injection and the shock came when he was laughing. Follow u appointments and he still denied it. Why didn't IPS recommend that?

She told us she doesn't read her reports because she would be reading all day and doesn't have the time to do that. She is very flip and disrespectful in her answers. I just think she doesn't like her patients to be involved in their health and prefers to not have to answer any questions. She also has the worst memory. Every single visit I ever had with her in a year and a half was like meeting her the first time. I feel sorry for Felipe who probably has to listen to upset patients all day long. She also pushes all her detox oils, supplements and the 900 dollar sauna on me before she even diagnosed me with Lyme disease. I get the impression she is making money off all these things to treat Lymes, so guess what? Everyone has Lymes!!! STEER CLEAR. This woman admitted she has brain fog because she too has Lymes. That isn't exactly the person you want handling your medical. Please, save yourself the drama and seek quality health care elsewhere.

Dr Carlson takes a very personal approach with her care, where she almost feels like a family member because she wants to know about how you feel and what you've been up to since she saw you last to ensure she can offer real advice that will apply to you, not a textbook stock response. She really listens when you're describing symptoms or ailments and takes notes in your chart as you converse. She offers options, never hesitates to suggests further testing yet doesn't order unnecessary labs or tests either. If your schedule is flexible, you can often get a same or next day appt. To give you an idea of how wonderful she is, I drive 30+ miles to see her and there are plenty of options much closer to home.

Dr. Nelson is as good as you can hope to get. Her bedside manner is top notch. Example: a week after the birth of my daughter, my heart rate became very slow. Called the office and was told to go the ER. Dr. Nelson met me there and directed all my care, along with the ER staff at Enloe. It was discovered I was in heart failure with a pulse in the 20's. dr. Nelson made sure I had the best cardiac dr. She new of and waited with me to consult with him. This is just one of many examples I could give you. Whenever I have called or gone in, Dr. Nelson and her MA's have been professional, courteous, and willing to listen and address every need and concern. She leaves no stone unturned. If she even suspects an issue, she gives it her full attention. No nose in a computer, or rushing you out as quickly as she can. I am now in Medicare, with Medi Cal secondary. Never have I been denied optimum care because of insurance issues. Perhaps this is because I am an established patient. Unfortunately with the new healthcare system as it is, many doctors have to worry about their bottom line. This is a sad state of affairs, but for another page. The office staff is so incredibly unprofessional and distasteful to work with I found myself frustrated and offended every time I had to make multiple follow up calls to receive medication's or further care. Specifically, Annette his medical assistant is abrasive and unprofessional. Her demeanor comes off as though you are lucky she is taking your call. Which led to many protracted and inefficient exchanges in an effort to complete the care that was promised. This situation even caused us to be without medically necessary prescriptions. If you have a tele-med appointment, expect him to be at least an hour late every time. I would strongly suggest looking elsewhere for quality care.
