Beef and Lamb Gyro Wrap
Rene D.

Went to the Joint Chiropractic and we wanted to grab a snack. Saw this place one complex over . We had two lamb and beef gyros , one extra meat. Bf had a Greek salad, set of two rolled Baklava(1.25). The unleavened bread they put the meat in was awesome. Crispy on outside and goodness in The inside ! Everything was awesome and not too huge and reasonably priced to boot! So we r staring at the menu and he decided to get a combo plate. Chicken and beef with rice and coleslaw and it's very tasty. Came back thru going to Detroit this time. Our BT fit in the parking lot ya! We ordered two large salads with beef/lamb gyro meat. She slices it off the big roll and tosses it on the grill to crisp and puts it on top. Omg it's soooo delicious !!!! We asked for some gyro sauce on the side and a piece of bread ( like nan). Two rolls of Baklava too as a finish. We took some of each salad to go. So maybe next time we will order medium salad. Oh ya.. the yoghurt drink they have in original and mint. It has probiotics in it of course. I drank half with my meal. It's good. Not sweet, actually like a bit salty and minty. Like it good!

They're very busy here. Which is usually a good sign. The young man running the show did an excellent job of juggling answering the phone and prepping the food. At 12 o'clock he got some backup to help him. There waz a lot of steak in my shwarma wrap - yum. I really loved the pickled turnip and cucumber and also the fresh tomatoes and tahini sauce. It was overall an excellent wrap. I would suggest ordering in advance. Because they are very busy

Chicken

I'm giving it two stars because the delivery was quick. But that's it. I ordered a chicken plate that came with rice veggies pita etc. The chicken was a large tray of literally diced pieces of The most dried out god awful chicken. As in inedibly dry and bad. Even smothering it in their pretty good hummus wasn't enough to make the chicken palatable. Really don't know how they placed that stuff in a takeout container and thought "yup. This'll wow the customer". The fried kabbeh was good to be fair but if you order a dish where the cooked chicken is the main event it's criminal to serve what they did.

This simple Middle Eastern restaurant was a great find. It features a walk - up - and - order format. The service is efficient and no - nonsense. The food is quite tasty. I had the Chicken Shawarma plate with cole slaw and fries while my wife had a Beef Shawarma Pita. We were both very happy with our choices. The facility is nothing elaborate but it is clean and comfortable with a decent seating capacity. We were able to get out of there for less than $10 per person, which included food, drink, tax and tip. I thought this was a good deal. We'll definitely go back when the opportunity presents itself.

When you want something quick, fast, and very YUMmy, this is definitely the spot. The staff is nice and the freshness of the ingredients comes through bite after bite. It's located in a shopping ctr nearby hotels and retail stores.

Must be alive before it is killed. Hmm. Something's not kosher there. Lol. Food is fantastic though. Love this place.

Great shawarma sandwiches. Both beef and chicken. I prefer the beef over the chicken. Salads are also very good and fresh.

My first time here, wonderful food and super nice people running the place. You can definitely feel the family vibe here - it's very warm and welcoming. Cozy place in a shopping center with easy parking. I had the chicken lemon rice soup and a supreme bowl with gyro meat and a bunch of wonderful toppings! You decide whether you want a pita or a bowl, then you pick your protein, toppings and sauces, and any sides that you might like. If you still have room after your main course you can select from a number of delicious desserts. Everything is really super flavorful which I really appreciated. I can assure you the next time I'm in the area I will definitely stop here again. I recommend you give this place a try - I think you'll be very happy.

The Mediterranean Latte is my usual go-to, sweetened with honey (they offer other sugar substitutes as well!). It's like a warm hug. They always have several excellent seasonal flavors as well, so we try those every time. This winter, the Peppermint Mocha and the Cinnamon Latte are delightful. Everyone who works here is so friendly and helpful. They remember us even tho we are only here twice a year, and I find that very sweet. We have had their bowls as well, all of which were good quality. There are lots of protein, topping, and sauce choices. They have grab n go desserts and some side dish items in the cooler with the sodas (they have Coke *and* Pepsi products). This location is clean, bright and warm with a clean restroom (for customers only) and some outdoor tables to enjoy in the warmer months. We have been and will be back many many more times to come!

This was my first time here and it will not be the last!…read more The cauliflower was amazing, the hummus was delicious, and the falafel (first time I've ever tried it) was incredible! I could've had my whole meal be just the appetizers and I would've been happy. The dinner came out and the rice was seasoned and tasted awesome! The chicken and lamb chops were *chef's kiss*. My favorite (aside from the falafel) was the Kafta. It's the first time I had it and my taste buds were blown away. Of course we had to end the meal with dessert (not much room left but we made it work) and the tuxedo mousse cake was made with so much love you could taste it in every bite. Not only was the food AMAZING, the staff were extremely friendly, they took the time to learn our names, very attentive, and made the whole experience that much better. The location is great and the entire vibe of the restaurant was relaxing. I will definitely be coming back very soon!

Delicious altho the side salad was meh. Nick convinced me to order the Château Ksara Réserve Du Couvent, a special red wine made from top-quality grapes in Lebanon. It was really special as was his homemade hot sauce (which I bought a container of for our home).

Have you ever been to a restaurant and your experience is so great, and the food is immaculate, and you KNOW that in your heart, that it doesn't matter what you order from the menu, you're GOING to leave satisfied? Well Souk is that type of restaurant. Definitely make a reservation. I did not, but I lucked up with a table in the bar area. Here's what I ordered: Calamari- One of my favorites out of the hundreds I've had. I typically don't care for the thicker semi-crispy calamari as much, but theirs was so fresh, I'm convinced if that type of calamari doesn't taste good somewhere else, it's probably due to the quality or method of cooking. Grape leaves- Enjoyed those and well-packed Braised Short Rib- Amazing. 10/10. Tender and flavorful. I loved the brussel sprouts. The celery root puree on the plate complimented it so well I thought it was mashed potatoes puree, lol. Like that's genius. Sumac Seared Ahi Tuna- I did not personally order this. It does tend to be a bit chilly inside, so I suggest bringing a sweater but I'd 100xs rather bring a sweater than be sweaty. Also, I'd suggest making a reservation as this is a popular spot downtown. 10/10 would recommend!

While I did not experience the ambiance at Grape Leaf Diner today, I can say from a past visit that the atmosphere is clean, bright with lots of windows, and with comfortable chairs and booths. The restaurant is located near or within a small strip mall at the Holland, OH location. (The Grape Leaf Express location in Toledo, OH located on Monroe St near Franklin Park Mall is also in a strip mall.) The food ordered today included chicken shawarma, yellow rice with vegetables (green beans, corn and peas), hummus, pita bread, and a Greek salad. There was also a dish of grilled vegetables that included squash and zucchini. While I didn't want to be rude and photograph food in the middle of the party, I took some screenshots posted by the restaurant to give you an idea of the food presentation. The salad ingredients were very fresh and delicious. Hummus was perfectly flavored. I always wish that Mediterranean rice had more vegetables, though it was delicious. I found the chicken shawarma a bit salty, but I'm salt-sensitive, so most people probably would love it; the meat was lean. As for the zucchini and squash vegetables, they looked delicious but we didn't have plastic knives, and I couldn't manage to cut them or eat them with the plastic forks. It was a beautiful presentation and I recommend that you give this restaurant a try! A tip for summer weather: the A/C was cranked up high when I was last there... maybe bring a jacket or sweater if you tend to run cold.
