In the process of getting them thawed the out…read moreside faucet broke off and I had gushing water for 2+ hours trying to find a city person, since it was a holiday, to shut off the water at the street. So this morning at approximately 6:30 AM I sent an email to Chelan Springs Plumbing crying on their shoulder about my plight. They arrived at 8 AM diagnosed the situation, gave me a very reasonable estimate which I accepted and they went to work. I did agree to their suggestion of installing a shut off valve on the main line coming from the meter box. They also installed a new frost free faucet and new piping that needed to be replaced and installed insulation on the pipes so hopefully they will not freeze again. Cleaned up their work area. They were very professional and very thorough in their work and very reasonably priced. Would I recommend them? Yes I definitely would recommend them. I can't say enough praise of Allied's repair of the leaking water main connection into my house…read more When I was told by the city (after they had turned off my water) that the leak was between the city water main and my house and therefore was my responsibility, I immediately called three plumber/excavation companies. To say I was distressed is an understatement! The leaking line ran UNDER my concrete car port, under a 3 foot retaining wall, and under a concrete patio into my house. The first bid was $5000 higher and involved sawing my concrete and jackhammering up the concrete from the city meter to my house (50 ft). The second company refused to try to fix the leak. My house is circa 1914 and the concrete has been in place for a very long time. Not only did Allied avoid disturbing any of the concrete, they did so in half the time (2 1/2 days) the first company suggested! The four young men who did the work (Foreman Cristian, and his fellow workers: Ethan, Victor and Justin) were cheerful, confident, good communicators, and most importantly, skilled. They accurately assessed the task and then set about making the repair. After they finished, I could barely tell they had been there. Except for about an 18" square they had to cut into my carport, (and which they repaired nearly flawlessly) and a small area of disturbed dirt, there was almost no evidence of their work! Moreover, they meticulously cleaned up after themselves: replaced the fence, swept my carport, and even cheerfully retrieved my water hose from my neighbors, winding it on the hose holder on my house! They started Monday after noon, and they were finished and had restored my water by Wednesday early evening! I unreservedly recommend them to tackle your plumbing problem.
