Well, that was disappointing. I should have just thrown the $15 for 2 medium and 1 small sno-cones out the window. The flavors were completely overpowered by the taste of old grease. really terrible. The shaved ice is way icier than it should be, it's more of a bad sno-cone than shaved ice. The syrups taste mostly similar and were unevenly applied. This place is cute. They have a patio in which you can enjoy your sugar ice. It boasts tons of flavors and add ons. I ordered wedding cake and silver fox. It was delicious! I've came here for over a year, maybe almost 2 (or maybe 3.......)? I loveD the concept of this place, shaved ice with a variety of flavors and fair food desserts. Notice the "loveD"? I came back here last week and the menu was revamped. The neon "open" sign wasn't on, but my boyfriend and I tried to see if it was open anyway. All the doors to the "house" was open and what do you know? There was a woman a the window waiting to take our order. So story: The "house" (I like to call it) was built by the man originally naming this place "Fun foods factory." He made it all and he said it was to be featured on "Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives" when it FIRST opened. He built it! It was awesome to talk to him and he tried some things to get more people out. Such as having a movie night (animated movies) to get families out and he was going to put bean bags and such for people to watch (this was in the summer). Fast forward: This woman who took our order was older. If you ever visited, it was usually the man who owned the "house" or younger kids (circling the age of 16-18) to take our order. The whole menu had changed, they served different foods (more latino based -- if I'm mistaken, I'm sorry) and the name...CHANGED. She told us that she partnered up and they changed the menu. This is VERY exciting! Of course I still LOVE it! I was a fan of the chamoyada (with extra chili) when it was just Fun Foods Factory, and now, BAM! It's one of their specialties. Not only did they raise the price on the snow cones, but they also pour little to nothing of flavor. The snow cone was white ice towards the bottom and middle. Flavor was only at the top part lol wow. Make sure to check for flavor towards middle before you leave. read more

I have been coming here since 2012 and just recently this year (2015) The product has change they must be under a new management. So some reviewers pictures might be misleading. Like some mentioned they used to have smoother shaved ice. Now its shaved a lot more less fine so if you let it sit there for a few mins it turns into a semi block of ice. They still have lots items on the board but the portions size have been reduced. Yes they do have some ethnic items on the menu well no blankety blank blank sherlocks it was mostly oriented for that certain type demographic type of customer so don't go being racist It's pretty obvious it has lot of Latin foods inspired foods. Enough said about that. They are your quick snack food cheating diet killer place. There are over 300 flavors of shaved ice to choose from, and as the name states, they have all sorts of fun foods too. Now, I'm sad to say that I'm addicted to fried Oreos. Ugh. Disappointment! Went to go get a snow cone, and after confirming they had my favorites flavor of choice (tigers blood), we walk to the window. First thing we notice- these prices are crazy high for a snow cone. We order and several minutes later, presented with said cone. It wasn't the good ice. It was more the hard shaved ice, not the soft snow ice. Taste- tasted like cherry. So I wouldn't consider myself a shaved ice aficionado, but my inner child knows what he likes. Obviously it's shaved ice slathered in different flavors. I was having a stressful week at work, and I pass by this place all the time. Well the heavens aligned, and something (my lack of self control) forced me to pull in. I can tell you, I have been to this place... cough... 3 times... cough... this week. They have standard flavors, what appear to be some creamy flavors, special mixes, south of the border flavors, and a multitude of other options. I doubt you will have trouble finding a flavor or option you will like. So far my personal favorite is the Diablito (Tamarind, Lime, and Chile). It's not pretty to look at, but it tastes good. It also appears that they have fun foods, shakes, and a multitude of other things available if that's your bag. I saw a bunch of people ordering different things, so it's obviously a draw. Be honest with yourself if you are in the area... Who doesn't like some shaved ice? Take your kids, your family, a date (maybe, I am not the one to ask for relationship advice), a group of friends, or shoot just hit up the drive thru after having a rough day at work. My first experience was good enough for me to come pack and try it again. This time there was two boy, one of them with a bad attitude and when I told him my order didn't taste like the flavor I asked for he gave me another cup with Nothing but ice and no flavor. I used to come to this spot years ago when I lived on the northwest side of Houston. It's great to see they are still open and doing well. After dinner decided to stop by this stand for a snow cone. They have a variety of flavors to choose from as well as roasted corn and some other snack foods. I ordered the mangonada it was pretty good. They add a good amount of chili so if you prefer the mango part ask for little or no chili. I enjoyed it . My friend got strawberry and it was good. I will be back if I'm ever on the NW side again. They used so little flavor that the ice was still mostly white. 15 dollars for two medium one tigers blood/sour apple shaved ice, and one coconut raspado, and one frito pie?! No prices listed anywhere so we don't even know what cost what. But, obviously everything is over priced here. The ice was so hard we needed an ice pick not a spoon. The product we received looked nothing like the pictures online. I had no cone nor dome nor anything on my shaved ice it was just kinda flat. The flavors weren't that great and the ice wasn't what I expect shaved ice to be. The corn had some kind of chili sauce on it that was not that great. Our churros were extra crunchy. I was also disappointed that they didn't have licuados. I'm used to always ordering licuados at other snowcone places. The pictures online showed funnel cakes, but they apparently don't sell them. For someone that hasn't really experienced other snowcone places, they may like this place. It's just hard for me to like it considering I've had better. read more

Years ago I used to come here and it was amazing! I think the owners have changed since then; it is still good, but the shaved ice isn't soft but instead bigger chunks of ice. I almost always get the same thing, but every time I go it's like it's made completely different. Sometimes it's great, lime juice with chili powder on top, but other times it's just straight up chili powder. Lime juice doesn't taste like fresh limes, and always takes forever to come out even when they aren't busy. read more
