10/10! This was our first time trying Avalanche Shaved Ice and we loved it! The place was super clean, the service was great, and everything was so refreshing. I got the mango shaved ice and it was SO good! My hubby got the passion fruit--he said it didn't taste quite like passion fruit to him, but it was still really yummy! Such a perfect treat, especially in this Texas heat. We'll definitely be coming back often. So glad we found this spot! 10/10 recommend! read more

Visited for thr first time today. This is the closest snoball/shaved ice establishment that i have found that comes close to home (Corpus Christi). Prices are very reasonable and I love that you get to choose different sizes. This will be my go-to spot for the summer. read more

Avalanche Shaved Ice - Strawberry Cheesecake - Shaved Ice Near Me - Houston, Texas

This snow cone stand has a couple of covered tables to sit at to enjoy your sweets. I ordered a medium wedding cake snow cone for $3.75. It had plenty of syrup and tasted very good. A medium was plenty big for me. Next time I might get a small. It's a good place to visit. Friendly service. I took a pic of their operating hours. read more

The snow cones here are great! Never had anything I didn't like. They also take cash only just FYI. I am giving it a 4 star because they don't have a phone number, website, or Facebook. I have come here twice during their open hours and they have been closed. Would be nice to have a resource to check if they are open before making the drive. read more

Avalanche Shaved Ice - They have so many flavors too choose from!!! :P - Shaved Ice Near Me - Houston, Texas

This place is the best. Been coming here for maybe two or three years and it's the best snow cone! They have the best tigers blood! I order it every time and I have tried many other flavored as well. I usually get light syrup bc the last few times they have been a little heavy and I hate when I'm eating a snow cone and half way through its mostly liquid. Haven't tried the snacks they have but they do have nachos, frito pies and pickles. The prices have increased over the years but they are still cheap and I believe they could be selling them for more compared to other snow cone places in Houston. It may be the area they are in. It's a little bit off hwy 290, but it's not in a bad area there is just not much around. It also has a drive through or you can pull up and eat your treat at the picnic tables. It's definitely worth going to if you are close by but they close early , I believe at 7pm but those change depending on the season. read more
