The elote cup was huge and affordable ($5.50). They also had a lot of chamoy candy options and ice cream that I might try another time. Service was also very quick. Something about the cream and shaved ice being blended together and the strawberries were very very fresh! The Elote was awesome as well and served in a nice portion size. The interior of the place has a nice aesthetic, but it does have a bit of a sour smell to it, which I think is normal when you work with dairy products, it's no different than if you go into a yogurt shop. But don't get me wrong the place is clean, plenty of seating a very family friendly. I would recommend this place for sure.

Some will have a chemical taste. Since it was only 7 minutes away from Cajun Stop we decided to check out the sno ball place near UofH. Sno balls are a big summer dessert in New Orleans. The texture of the sno was great but the flavors weren't as good as Hansen's Sno Bliz in New Orleans, so I'm not sure I need to be a regular there. The menu covers a lot of snack options there like funnel cakes, frito pies, Kool-aid pickles, hot dogs, tacos, fries, corn in a cup, nachos, and deep fried snickers, Oreos, and Twix. I liked the UofH mural on the wall.

Right off the bat, the toppings and seasonings are mostly different. A classic elote has cotija cheese, mayo, butter, lime, and tajin. La Guerita Roasted Corn has numerous locations around the greater Houston area, but #3 happens to be in the parking lot of 99 Ranch (#1) which has practically become a landmark for westbound folks along I-10. Whether it's actual elote (on the cob) or esquite (corn in a cup), La Guerita definitely has both and so much more. The food truck is a bit larger, since it operates as two businesses: La Guerita Roasted Corn and Lesley's Sweet Bar. While the menus are distinct from each other, it's the same folks working on both. That being said, it's among the nicest and most colorful I've ever seen. Together, they sell a variety of indulgent, comfort food. Lesley's side is undoubtedly sweeter and a bit heavier emphasis on fried items from stuffed churros (#2), deep fried oreos and brownies, with a nice selection of milkshakes. For La Guerita has fries, prepared nachos, and and an intriguing big cup called the vaso loco ($12), which is layer s of cheese, saue, elote on top and bottom for the ultimate experience. My hot cheetos esquite was nicely decorated and heart despite the small cup. The counter also is also the land of do-it-yourself condiments. which include various hot sauces, chili powder, etc. The prices of other specialty carts are considerably less, but they're also not doing the same things as this one.
