But the best part of the place is the food. The buffet (which is the only option for now but a la Carte is coming soon) is aptly priced. There are 10-12 entree options which as many sides, a fully functional salad bar, and soda and desserts. Everything was cooked to perfection and refilled promptly. It was obvious that the whole Padilla family has put its heart into the place. Make sure to try this place ASAP and talk to the owners. You will not be disappointed.

First, the best way to describe this place is a buffet featuring all the items you typically find in the American food section of a Chinese buffet. Blah! There were baked chicken pieces, three different types of potatoes, rice, pan broiled white fish, the items listed above, sauteed veggies, pizza bread, and pulled pork sliders. Drinks were sodas, ice tea, and cool aid. Yes, cool aid. Food quality is akin to what you might find at a hospital or cafeteria. With meat being overly greasy and overcooked. At $15 per person, I will spend my money elsewhere. The title of the restaurant is misleading. Nothing multi cultural about it. This restaurant is a way to fill your stomach, full stop.

She was friendly, personable, and incredibly knowledgeable about the menu. Even when a few items were unavailable, she communicated it honestly, transparently, and with such grace that it never felt like an inconvenience. Throughout our meal, she checked on us regularly, anticipated our needs, and always had a genuine smile on her face. As Texans traveling through Illinois, we were pleasantly surprised because Savanna reminded us of the very best of Southern hospitality. Her warmth and professionalism turned an ordinary meal into a memorable experience. Cracker Barrel is fortunate to have someone like Savanna on their team. Service was a little slow but I think it's because there was one server for half the restaurant. I ordered the country fried steak and it was amazing! So good, thick meat, not too much batter, it was great! The hash browns were okay, not a lot of flavor and dry. Cute little gift shop inside the restaurant that sell a lot of old school candy. The front door was open, the back door was open and there was no air conditioning . There really isn't any place for customers to sit and be comfortable. There was only one employee and he was running the deep fryer and was also running the checkout area. I ordered a four piece all white chicken dinner with Hush puppies for a total of $20. When I got home and opened the box I had one large chicken breast one small chicken breast and two wings. The chicken was cooked and tasty however the breading was soggy and not crisp. I can't say I was overly pleased with the chicken, but the hush puppies were to die for. It was my first time there and I probably won't return. There are too many other fried chicken places that are better.
