Gutter Twins

Gutter Twins

(15 reviews)

I was so frustrated looking for someone to take care of my gutters on an investment property. I…read morefound the Gutter Twins with a Google search since I wasn't getting a response from those I contacted that I got from friend referrals. I was nervous but once I spoke with them, I was at ease. Every part of the process with the Gutter Twins went smoothly. I like how they use text to know when your technician is on their way, status of the job and when they are finished. They stick to schedule as well. Very happy with them and would highly recommend.

DO NOT USE GUTTER TWINS!!! They are unprofessional and unreliable. I live in a house in which the…read moregutters are about 30' above ground level. The gutter system I have consist of 2 long gutters each about 50' long on the North and South side of the house ... nothing complicated. 11/4/25 - Called Gutter Twins to get a quote. I should have listen to my head when the red flags started to go up. First, they demanded a 30% down payment, second, they said it would take two weeks to get to me. Nonetheless, I ignored my inner instincts and approved Job Number 3636 with the stipulation they try to see me as soon as possible since the North gutter is completely blocked and when it rains I get a 3' long waterfall running down the side of the building. 11/6/25 - They sent me a receipts showing they took out $114.75 from my credit card. (Exhibit 1) 11/6/25 - Received an email stating they had placed me on the schedule for 'Monday, November 10, 2025 arriving between 9:30 am and 10:30 am'. (Exhibit 2) 11/10/25 - Come Noon and no one showed up. I called their office and was first told they were delayed but would get to see me today. 3:00 pm, called the office again, this time they said the crew was having trouble finding my location but would get to me as soon as they figure out how to get to my house. This was utter nonsense. My address has 3 city locations that you can type in Google Map and find where I live. You can use Easton, Raubsville and Williams Township ... all will show up in google Map. They never showed up. Note I was the one calling them, they never called me to say they were not coming or delayed. 11/11/25 - Sent then screen shots of Google Map and my address, and a photo of my house. (Exhibit 3 and Exhibit 6) They sent an email saying I was schedule to get my gutters clean 'tomorrow'. 11/12/25 - Same thing, no one called and no one showed up. Now it is two days I've lost in earnings and time waiting for this company to come clean my gutters. 11/13/25 - In the morning received an email from Gutter Twins saying they were canceling the order (Exhibit 4). No explanation or reason for why they did not show up twice. Well I've had enough. Called Gutter Twin but no one picked up. Left a somewhat stern voice mail and demanded a refund of my deposit followed by an email (Exhibit 5). Completely irresponsible, have no sense of customer service, and definitely unprofessional. Stay Away! Go to Google Review to see Exhibits. Yelps does not let you download documents pr photos.

Tom's General Contracting - Ole metal roofing with box gutters

Tom's General Contracting

In the middle of a big outdoor project, we needed some fairly invasive siding repair - basically, a…read moreportion of siding below the exterior door was super rotted. So much so that you could stick your entire hand through the house. The repairs were time sensitive as it needed to be done before the new deck gets installed. Tom was the first person I reached out to - as luck would have it, he was able to come take a look same-day. Normally I prefer to get a few quotes before moving forward with any work but felt very comfortable with Tom - he gave a fair quote for the work and I decided to move forward. His team was very efficient, thorough, and kept me informed with the repairs and left us very satisfied with the workmanship. I've already referred Tom to some neighbors and will absolutely think of them for future projects. If you need expertise, solid workmanship, and fair pricing, definitely look at Tom - he was an absolute pleasure to deal with!

Tom reliably showed up to give an estimate for gutter work on the roof of my house. He gave a price…read moreof $5,000 to replace all gutters and guards, as well as to clean the downspouts. That seemed like a lot of money for a day's work, but I said 'So be it' to myself. He added that the price might be higher if he had to buy new wood and metal to do the job well. He then said that he would be 'hands-on' but, as soon as he dropped off his workers, he left the job and didn't come back. When he returned days later, he told me that I owed him another $2,200. When I balked at this, he got testy and, so, lowered the additional charge to $1,700 ('because I want to work for you again,' he said). I challenged him to itemize the extra costs. He said that the additional wood was $300 and the additional metal was $500. I asked what accounted for the other $900 that he was demanding. 'Additional labor costs,' was his answer. I pointed out that his initial price had to have included the laborers' pay for the day - and they finished the job before 5 pm. Tom started sulking; then he became irate: 'Just give me the $5,000 - forget the rest.' It was a good ploy. I felt sorry for him, so I wrote a check for $6,000 - not the $7,200 that he wanted nor the $6,700 that he then proffered as a compromise. A qualified professional, who knows my house, said that $5,000 for new gutters and general maintenance of the system was a very high but not completely unreasonable charge for the work. But Tom's demand for an additional $2,200, then $1,700, was, this professional said, outrageous: 'He saw that you willingly paid the $5,000, so he figured that he could extract another couple of thousand from you.' I liked Tom personally but regret paying him what I did. I urge, then, whomever might hire him to be strong in negotiating about the job - and not to give in to his emotional ploys to price gouge.

Jiffy Products Company - Triple Door Installation

Jiffy Products Company

I purchased my home at the beginning of the pandemic and shortly after moving in, my mother (who…read morelived with me) was diagnosed with an aggressive and rare cancer. The previous owner purchased and had Jiffy install a new slider just before closing. She also purchased a screen, but never told me about it. After my mom passed, I went through the invoices the previous owner left me (I was thinking about having some repair work done) and noticed there was a note from Jiffy that the screen would be left with the new owner (me). So, I called to follow up on it. I was informed the screen was delivered to her (but is nowhere to be found). I asked for pricing on a new screen. Steve came over after a month or so and brought a screen door for a fitting. I explained that I live in a condo community that REQUIRES board approval for any exterior changes by homeowners - yes, that includes a new screen door. He tried to talk me into letting them install it anyway and I refused (politely and because I don't intend to get on my condo board's and/or neighbor's bad side). Deep in grief, I paid for the screen in full and kept the screen. Steve promised to come back and install it once I had approval. I made a mistake on the check and Steve came out the NEXT day (a Saturday) to get a replacement check. That is the last I heard from or saw Steve. I called and left messages after the board approved the new screen door. I was only able to get an answer when I blocked my number prior to calling. At this point in my life, I don't chase low character people. And I also don't start big, expensive projects with companies I haven't worked with before. I have lots of work to have done around here (I purposely bought an outdated home in need of superficial repairs/replacements so I could update it to my liking). I know who I WON'T be calling in the future to provide services. If someone will dodge your calls over a couple hundred bucks, you KNOW you can't trust them with larger, more expensive projects. Beware.

I left for work and came home to new windows! He is very personable and is willing to answer any other home repair question while he is there.
