Within days Jimmy came by and did a solid and fair estimate, as well as taking precise, comprehensive measurements. The crew came out a week ahead of schedule (they were in the area and had could squeeze it in - yeah!), and, like an Indy 500 pit crew, each Gutter Guy worked fast but super efficiently, taking down the old attached loose gutters and replacing them with durable covered ones (I got the black - super sharp match for our black trimmed Federal), now seamlessly attached to the eaves. I couldn't be happier with our new Gutter Guys system or with the Gutter Guys service. We are very happy with the entire process. Josh O. arrived at our scheduled time. Our home is a twin and, of course, the entire building needed gutters. Josh worked with both of us to split the job up based on linear feet. He listened to our concerns, inspected our gutters, and provided a free and fair estimate for what we needed. Josh was a pleasure to do business with. The home has a large roof that sheds lots of water and has many large trees reaching over the gutters. Clogs and overflows were constant issues. We went with the 6" gutters, 4" downspouts, and their GutterGard solution. The work was scheduled to be performed up to two weeks later based on the weather. Some good weather had the crew of 3 out a week sooner. They showed up around 8 am and got right to work. They asked and answered questions to ensure we were on the same page. They were professional, courteous, and focused on the job. Everything was installed as agreed and the site was cleaned up in a single day. The gutters really look great. Of course, we'll see how well it holds up to the rains and leaves over time, but it looks solid to me. I'll post an update to this review after a few seasons. Called Gutter Guys to come out and quote replacing gutters/down spouts on my entire home. Someone came out within a couple days, measured and ran a bunch of numbers. GG's quoted us on (1) gutters only and then (2) gutters + proprietary gutter guard system. The 2nd quote was way higher (almost 3X original quote) but it was a separate product and claimed to provide lifetime protection against clogs, etc. However, due to the price was a big decision and one we hadn't previously considered. The GG rep told us that if we signed the quote that day and cut a check for an initial deposit we'd get a substantial discount on the total installation (around 30%). We told him it was a big decision and would need some time to consider. During the subsequent couple weeks we had a few exchanges about exact size of gutters (e.g., 5" vs. 6"), correct sizing of downspouts and whether the gutter guard was really all it claimed and what exactly was covered by the company's warranty. In the end we ultimately agreed with the original specs outlined by our GG rep when he was onsite but now felt much more comfortable and informed having gone through all the Q&A and advice during the process. At this point we communicated to our rep that we were ready to proceed. Now the bad part, GG's would no longer honor the discount they previously offered stating it was a 1X only deal had we signed on the dotted-line that day and paid the upfront deposit. I cannot tell you how unscrupulous and unethical I feel that this business practice is and told GG's that we would not be moving forward with our project at any price. A reputable and adequately capitalized business should not need customer deposits upfront, should not offer discounts which they don't honor, and should not practice high pressure sales tactics which don't allow customers adequate time to research upsell products being offered. Have no concerns with the quality of the product and know customers that have used GG's in the past for both gutters and gutter shields and like the results. Just need to point out our experience and the disreputable manner in which the company conducted itself. Best of luck on your own gutter project! read more

My experience with Gutter Guys was mixed, but ultimately, what I got for what I paid was very disappointing. The consultation with Josh O (as many have pointed out) was great. Very personable and seemingly honest. My gutter issue was easy to spot and Josh agreed quickly with me that it was the culprit and drew up some options/quotes pretty quickly. I was on the books with a deposit hours later. We were given an estimation for the completion of the job (small, relatively) which was 6 weeks out. Understandable, and we were OK with this. That day did come and no sign of a GG crew. There was no call or communication either. We called the day after to enquire about status, at which point we were told we were the last job on that day. The end of day came and went with no work and, again, no communication. We called the following day (seeing that they were closed) and were told we were now bumped to the first job...of the next day. All in all, this wasn't anything more than slightly inconvenient, but it did make us wonder what would happen if we hadn't been calling and reminding them... Anyways, let's get to the crux of the issue. The two man team showed up and were polite and friendly. The job was completed as described and agreed within about 2 hours. The problem, however, is that the gutters were not installed correctly by anyone's standards. Some of then brand new gutter run was back pitched! You see, gutters are supposed to be angled at a slight pitch downward to the downspout. Gravity has a wonderful influence on shedding water in this setup! When a system is back pitched, it's angled in the wrong direction and is fighting what a proper system should have an easy time doing. I know this first hand because the system we were replacing was back pitched and wreaked havoc on the interior of our home. I measured this myself with a 3' level to confirm what I was seeing. I couldn't accept this and called the office. Someone said I'd receive a call back, but that never happened. I called the following day again, and was told by someone else that it would be within 5 days for someone to stop by and see the issue first hand. Ok, clear communication hasn't been their strength, but I can deal with this. All of this took a bit more back and forth until someone finally showed up (not the guy nor time I was told, but hey, they were here). He seemed somewhat dubious of my description of the issue at first but finally agreed once he was up there. He made some on the fly attempts to better it -- and, credit where it's due, he did improve on the problem - but it still was not pitched correctly. His final assessment after all of this was that it "should work well...enough" and if not, a bigger rerouting job would be needed (at my expense, no doubt). So, all in all, we spent six-plus weeks, chased several back and forth dialogs and paid a few hundred to get a shiny, new, slightly "improved" yet still non-properly-working gutter installed. I could have understood if the installers, once up at the site, told me "we can't install properly functioning gutters due to these limitations" and either cancelled the job or explained some other options. But that obviously didn't happen. If I need another gutter job or was asked to recommend, I'd certainly be looking elsewhere. read more

Worst Experience Ever!!! They did not show up within the contract time frame to install my gutters. After multiple calls they finally came and performed the install, however they damaged my property and refused to accept responsibility for it and will not tell me who their insurance company is. Their customer service is atrocious to say the least. I have also filed a complaint with the BBB. read more

After another 14 days I eventually purchased the correct parts and had to install them my self, after all it was October and winter was coming. The quote and receipt I have shows I paid $279 for the repair and cleaning, not $150 as the owner states in his comments to my review. The rep who came out (not the owner who is replying here) never suggested that I should replace the miter. The rep quoted me $150 for repairing the leak. While that may be high, that is their mininum charge to come out. Because of that he suggested I do a cleaning while I was at it. My gutters were not dirty for the most part but I agreed. I suppose that makes either the cleaning or the repair less expensive since I was then over their minimum charge. The cleaning and repair weren't priced separately on the quote so I have no way of knowing that. I didn't notice the handwritten "no warranty" on the work proposal until later and when I did see it I interpreted it differently as I've explained previously. I've admitted that this was an oversight on my part. Yes, Gutter Guys did offer to come back and chaulk again -- AFTER I contacted the Better Business Bureau to complain. He omits that detail from his comments. Mike may be right, the gutter piece itself probably should have been replaced, not just caulked, but that wasn't what his rep told me. It seems confusion with the facts is probably between the owner and his rep. We couldn't ask for a better product or service. Our 1928 Craftsman style home had its original copper gutters and they were looking sad. Mike and Josh's team were the answer. Our quote quick, thorough, fair and honest. I appreciated their approach of what was best for the home and their willingness to quote out many options. Our install date was a two to four week window and the gutters were installed within 8 days. The team of installers were professional, polite and showed care for the home by wrapping the ladder ends with cushions so not to disturb the roof or shingles. Part of the install included putting in diverter spouts for a rain barrel, which I ordered from an online source to find it was back-ordered and had not arrived. Absolutely do not waste your money!! They were the cheapest quote I got - but probably for good reason. Less than a year from install and I am already having issues with their installation. Downspout drains were installed with a pitch back toward the house and therefore are holding stagnant smelly water that is growing mosquitoes. Two spots have been leaking along the roof since install. They will come out to take a look and will charge me if they deem it something that is maintenance related rather than install. Of course they will - to squeeze in another $150 maintenance charge. I asked if they could just come check their work, and that if they deemed it "maintenance" to please just leave it alone. They said it costs $150 just to send the truck out. I asked how much is the labor then? She said "nothing." So I have to agree to the $150 charge just to get them to come check the quality of their work. All I am asking is for them to back up their work by checking it as it is less than a year old. No one should have to agree to a maintenance charge for this. We will see what they say when they get here.... Please do not recommend this place to anyone - terrible. read more

I rarely write reviews. I am a family man and have good things to say about the field crew. My issue has been with scheduling, unprofessional conduct over the phone, and lack of customer service from both of the owners. Again, the communication and scheduling are poor. In this day and age when there is so much competition in the market, you would think that the owners understood good customer service and service after the sale. Customer service today is more than half of the experience with small businesses and SMBs. The relationship with your customer base should be paramount. Can't begin to describe what a disappointment these guys are. Had them do my gutters for two years now and both times they failed to do the downspouts. First time, I didn't notice the problem for a couple of months, so I just had my painter do it when he was working on my house, but this year they did the gutters on April 14th, we had a downpour on May 15th and the downspouts were clogged causing a leak into my house. I called to get them out to clean the downspout, that overflowed, said I'll deal with the leak and its damage, but they want another $150 because I waited so long to complain. This was the first big rain in the last 30 days, how could I have discovered the problem. Don't get burned like me. Don't use these guys. There couldn't be a worse company to deal with. read more

I called 3 places first told me a minimum price on the phone without any ?s as to the job. Second company came out gave me same price as 1st he looked at old gutter took no measurements, did nothing but quote a proce. Matthew from Gutter Guys came out, looked and took measurements, explainjd what needed to be done (and the price was much better then the other 2). There was another situatinj that was casuing watet o pool in one small area appearing to erode the concrete. They told me a pipe would help the water to be more dispersed. I agreed to the extra work but found after it was done the water still ended up in the same area in the concrete. I took pics and ocntacted them. Josh came out, looked at it and understood why I was unhappy with the pipe and wanted it removed. No debate with me, no argument as has happened with other companies that are unwilling to to work with a customer. Instead he removed it and right then and there refunded the cost of that part of the job. I am only sorry I dont have more gutters for them to work on. I recommend them wholeheartedly. They were professional, responsive and nice folks to boot. read more

We decided to replace our 35+ year roof and 25 year old gutter this year. I interviewed 4 other gutter installation companies before The Gutter Guys. Rob came on time for his appointment. He explained in detail how the Waterloov gutter system works. I also looked online at waterloov.com and was pretty convinced that Waterloov is the top of the line. We signed the contract for replacing all the gutter plus hook up 2 rain barrels with a diverter. The Gutter Guys came the next day after the new roof was completed. The two man team worked smoothly for two days. David carefully hooked up the diverter with the two rain barrels and made sure that it catches rain. The work site was also cleaned before they finished the job. Everyone in this Company was very accommodating. I had question regarding the warranty, I got answer from the manager. I had instructions about hooking up the rain barrels, Rob made a special trip to pick up the instruction. When the job was completed they repeated telling me "call us if you have any problems". Two days later, we had a big rain fall and it rained for 2 days. I went to check if the rain barrel was catching rain. Yes, it had 6" of water inside. The new gutter looks very good. I asked them to give me a piece of scrap of the gutter guard so I can show my friends why it should work better then other gutter guard. I am satisfied with the work they did. read more

Had a representative come out in Nov 2016, gave me a quote of about $1900.00, I agreed and gave a deposit, and was assured that a crew would be out within 3 weeks -- said so on the receipt. By January 2017, I knew there was something wrong, so I called and emailed but not no response. I finally got a hold of someone in late February, and the original representative emailed me and said they were waiting to hear back from me about separating my gutter from a neighbor's. This was the first i had heard of this. I gave my permission and he said someone would be out within a week. Two weeks later, there was still nothing. In the meantime I was laid-off from work so I just cancelled the service. The best thing was that they refunded my deposit right away with no issue. Maybe mine was an isolated incident, but I would not use them again. The Gutter Guys were here last year to replace gutters after we had the siding replaced. Unfortunately, this year our roof needed replacement. In the process, most of our gutters suffered damage. I initially had a 1-star review due to some debris that was left behind by the installation crew and the lack of follow up when I notified the Company. It seems as though this complaint was lost, which happens. However the Owner reached out to me as soon as he was made aware of the situation, offered (and completed) a thorough review of my property to clean up any debris, made some adjustments to the installation and ultimately did everything I could have asked for in terms of a follow up.
