We stopped in this afternoon and we're very impressed by the fact that they grow all of their own grapes here on property, the vineyards are beautiful! She also told us they have over 52 varietals. The wine tasting is actually free for five selections, reserve wines not included, so that is super generous, considering what you pay another locations for a tasting. We loved the Valentino, the Pinot Grigio and the red we selected is the Montepulciano. If you have a partner that does not like wine, she also stocked some craft beers. It does look like they have some fun events here as they have a beautiful patio with an outdoor fireplace. There were locals coming in to buy their favorite wines, so this family business seems well loved by the locals. Cute spot and we would definitely stop in again!

There were two different red flights and we went with Heritage flight as she said it wasn't as sweet as the other. Both were $12 for 3 pours. It consisted of a Pinot Gris (crisp and refreshing and ended up being our favorite), Rosé and a Cab. She offered a Pinot Noir as well and added it to the cost of our flight making it $15 for the four of them. Cabs are our go to red - this one wasn't as full bodied as we usually enjoy. The gal was pleasant to visit with but she did not discuss any of the wines or offer much information on the wines or winery. If asked she was good to share but I always enjoy hearing about the wines and history of the winery.

Then we stepped out onto the patio with our pistachio ice cream, and wow... completely unexpected. The space is gorgeous. It was a little windy when I visited in March, but the scenery more than made up for it. I arrived a bit late for a full tasting since they stop tastings after 4 PM, but the staff was still kind enough to let me sample four different wines. I ended up enjoying them so much that I bought three bottles to take with me--two reds and one sparkling. The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming. Honestly, everyone I met in Las Cruces seemed that way. At one point, a local woman nearby even asked if it would bother me if she smoked. I thought that was such a polite and considerate thing to do. Between the mountain backdrop, the relaxed atmosphere, and the friendly people, it was a really pleasant stop. I'd definitely recommend checking it out if you're in the area.

The insalata paolo was half the size it normally had been. It's supposed to be a salad for 2, tonight it was a salad for 1. The salmon pasta was plain, the salmon was raw, and seemed to be deep fried. We sent it back, and after a long wait we got another piece of oily deep fried salmon that was raw on the inside. The focaccia bread served with the pasta was rock hard and stale. We gave up and checked out. The server seemed busy and rushed, but was nice enough to take the salmon off the bill.
