Don't waste your time and money. We eat here when they first opened a few years ago. The food then was "not ready for prime time". We were hoping it had improve, it hasn't. The worst tacos we have ever had. The shrimp tacos were so tough they were uneatable. The carne asada tacos had some heat due to the jalapeño in the pico de gallo. We're from Tucson az so we know our way around a good taco. My husband has celiac so we have to be careful but tacos are generally a safe bet. We searched and found casa taco. We Got the family pack because my husband can eat! And we wanted Left overs. The lovely woman at the cash register checked to make sure The family pack we chose was gf. We had driven all day and hadn't eaten so we scarfed down 6 tacos very quickly in our rv. They were delicious. The slightly crispy torts were perfect and all the portions generous! Me and my hubby are doing a weekend in T or C and on the way back to T or C from Bosque Del Apache we wanted lunch and a stop at Elephant Butte. Reviews led us to Casa Taco! Yum!! We had the Casa Taco lager brewed by a local brewery, very nice. Then I had 3 brisket tacos with rice and pinto beans and a side of green chili. All so so yummy. My hubby had 3 tacos, a brisket, tilapia and a shrimp. All so very good. We will come back on our way back home to Albuquerque and any time we are in the area! Super nice guy at the register too. I've been here off and on over the years and it's ok. I think the prices are just a bit expensive for me and this is my opinion. The tacos are large and a little greasy but I like them like that. The chips are fresh and delicious. I had beef enchiladas and to my surprise they came rolled, full of beef and cheese. The chile cheese fries were shoestring fries which is fine. The beans were good but I didn't like the rice. Free refill fountain drinks is a good deal. Service was good and friendly. The food is over priced. Location is good. I have had decent meals and horrible meals there. There is ample parking.

The food is fresh off the grill, tacos are fried and assembled on the grill so when they are put on your plate everything is hot and fresh. There is plenty of outdoor seating that is covered/shaded. The staff is friendly and quick to serve. I usually have four street tacos I had three of these and a fourth one would've put me down for the count. Incredible tacos! Green chile is hot quesadilla looked bomb, will have to order next time! The cook recommended the chicken quesadilla. Started with chips and trio of dips. The chips are homemade, crunchy, some soft... the perfect combination! The taco shells are home cooked, hold up well, and honestly probably the best taco shells I've had anywhere in New Mexico thus far. The staff is incredibly friendly and kind. Fun spot for specialty tacos. They are served in corn tortilla or puffy (fried tortilla). I had the shrimp Veracruz taco, the jerk chicken taco, and the beef verde puffy taco. A sauce came in a small cup to accompany. The jerk chicken had a wonderful flavor of the Caribbean. I've had jerk chicken at other restaurants, and the seasoning was quite reminiscent. The shrimp Veracruz had small fruit (mango?) chunks along with a great sauce and other fresh ingredients. The puffy taco had a great crunch and loaded with the lettuce, tomato and beef. For me, the beef was not particular seasoned. It was good, but if it was indeed seasoned, I didn't taste it so much. I called and asked if there was indoor seating. It was a hot day. The seating area was under construction and will be nice when it's done. But it certainly wasn't cool as the windows had not been installed. So "indoor" meant a covering over your head, but it was warm due to open windows and being under construction. My friend ordered guacamole. The chips reminded me of those house made. First, we love casa taco and frequent the ABQ location and it breaks my heart to write this. We are in the middle of an edging pandemic and I notice the cooks wearing ABSOLUTELY NO MASKS. This is completely unacceptable. We are supposed to feel sorry for the restaurant industry (I do generally) but then see things like this during a pandemic - help is help you! The few workers who were wearing masks disappointed me by touching their faces and masks and then going right back to work handling people's food. Customers walk in without masks despite the signs and no one bats an eye or says a g**d**** thing. Next thing on the list will be a complaint to the DOH. So disappointed in you guys. To make it worse, order placed ahead of time and still waited for 30 min to be ready. read more

First time here & probably last time. Was really craving tacos after a day at the lake. Got a ground beef taco plate & cheeseburger combo....no napkins or silverware included. At ordering, waitress asked for a tip for takeout. The patty on the burger was extremely salty & no condiments put on the burger. The fries were very soft & shoestring like. My tacos were soft corn tortillas & so greasy...I got horrible heartburn. The taco meat was good but couldn't eat my rice & beans since no silverware was included. I did taste the rice with my hand & it tasted like it had red chile in it. Not authentic mexican rice. I have to say that A&B blows this place out of the water. All this bad food for $21....we could've gone elsewhere & gotten better food for much less money! Casa Taco you need to step up ur game...disappointing meal!!!! read more

Stopped here on a drive from Las Cruses to Albuquerque, and we are sure glad we did! We took our food to go (due to COVID-19). I had the 2 chili relleno meal, Christmas style. The batter in the chilis was super fluffy and delicious! Both red and green sauce were excellent, and the perfect heat accompanied the food. Beans were super creamy and flavorful. I like this place but my husband not so much. He is dairy and gluten free which can be easily accompanied at this location but their lettuce and tomatoes are covered in cheese! We had to send back his food but it came back the same way. If you don't have dietary issues this is a great place to eat and drink. read more

$1.50 tacos on Mondays! Ground beef, soft shell toasted on the grill, Romain lettuce chunks of tomatoes and fresh salsa. We also ordered the salsa and chips. Freshly fried corn chips with the same fresh salsa as the tacos. Both were very tasty. We walked in, got in line, was greeted by a very friendly young lady. Our order was served promptly, see photo. We sat outside on the patio. The place was clean, the bathrooms were spotless, the kitchen was clean. What can you do?
