Anyone who's camped in a small space knows how quickly it can become challenging--especially sharing with family. So, when my wife excitedly said, "We should buy our own trailer!" it seemed perfect for creating our family memories. We visited dealership after dealership, touring countless trailers until they blended together. One day, my wife burst through the door exclaiming, "I found the perfect trailer!" Her excitement was contagious, and we immediately planned to see it. At Bish's RV, the salesperson warmly showed us the trailer. I specifically asked about an inverter, and she assured me it was "wired for one but doesn't include it." Comfortable with that, we discussed financing. She confidently promised they could beat any other bank by 50%, an offer that seemed fantastic. We slept on it and, convinced we'd found our dream trailer, returned the next day to complete the paperwork. After clearly agreeing on our maximum affordable payment, we were shocked to see the actual payment higher than agreed. Despite this, we moved forward, eager for joyful camping memories. Our excitement quickly turned to frustration. During our first trip, we found water leaking beneath the trailer when flushing the black tank. Disappointed, we returned it to Bish's RV, who also replaced a missing dust cap. With hopes restored, we believed our troubles were over. However, while winterizing, we discovered the water heater bypass valve wasn't functioning, forcing another visit. The following season brought more disappointment--the water heater wouldn't start. After a week-long stay at the dealership, we learned it was due to loose wiring. Our breaking point came on our most recent outing. My daughter sat down, and the bench collapsed beneath her. Her shock deeply saddened me. Inspecting further, I found the supports poorly stapled, careless and avoidable. Later, my wife quietly asked, "Does the fridge look strange?" Our hearts sank as we saw it falling into the cabinet, shattering our dreams of joyful, relaxing trips. Feeling disheartened, we contacted BishFix. Despite the warranty, they required a $190 upfront fee. We reluctantly paid, enduring a month of delays and frustrations as the technician awaited BishFix authorization. Another traumatic moment was the door lock failing, locking us out. Since we live in our trailer full-time due to my wife's role as a camp host, this was more than inconvenient--it was terrifying. After dinner with family, we found the key spinning uselessly in the lock. Panic overwhelmed my youngest daughter, who had a heartbreaking panic attack. Roadside assistance repeatedly asked for my details, promising callbacks but never helping. Desperate and exhausted, I pushed out a window screen and lifted my nephew inside to unlock the door. Finally, I drove an hour and a half to Bish's RV to speak directly with someone. After repeatedly explaining our situation, feeling unheard and overlooked, they arranged for a technician the next day. Upon arrival, the technician confirmed my suspicion that the blinds were installed backward. The always polite and professional service desk employee promised the Regional Manager would contact me. When he did, rather than providing solutions, he shared unrelated frustrations about delays on his expensive home project. Feeling even more unheard and dismissed, he eventually promised to evaluate our trailer's current value, leaving us waiting again. We've documented numerous build-quality issues, heartbreakingly evident from our very first trips. Photos show these issues clearly, but the emotional toll--the disappointment, broken promises, and seeing my family's excitement dashed repeatedly--is immeasurable. Even the door, randomly locking or refusing to open, symbolizes our experience. We share this hoping other families can avoid the heartache we've endured.

Highland Ridge Light, VIN 58TCHOBP1J3LJ3053 I purchased this…read moreunit 9/27/2018 from Nielson RV in St. George, UT. I have had nothing but trouble dealing with Nielson and I request assistance from Highland Ridge. Prior to purchasing this unit, I identified the following issues and requested that they be remedied. *Bathroom pocket door - alignment issue - hits handle on closet - doesn't close, door damaged on inside - hole and nail in ceiling by pocket door; *Kitchen ceiling - glue above sink and line between lights (this has been covered by something with a glossy/shiny finish while rest of ceiling is a flat finish); *fridge panel - deep scratches; *Sink covers - requested ones to match countertop instead of bamboo. After taking possession I identified more issues. 10/10/2018, (less than one month after purchase) I sent an email to Nielson listing these issues: *Slide out in bedroom leaked...carpet on bottom of closet was wet to touch, clothes and corner wall damp to touch; *Linoleum by carpet at end of bed has a row of staples showing; *Corner trim on wall as one enters unit, at bottom of steps.... coming off. They used two end pieces of trim instead of a corner piece of trim; *Step into bedroom is cracked, particle board underneath shows, needs to be replaced; *Window screens are popping out, will not stay securely in place; *The floor molding across the kitchen slide is buckling and needs to be replaced. Nielson gave me a recall notice for manual override access for front jacks. My trailer doesn't have a manual override for front jacks. Per Highland Ridge Customer Service, it is supposed to. Propane tanks are supposed to be walled off (industry standard) and they are not. *The axle has a 4400 lb. rating, but the brakes and bearings have only a 3500 lb. rating. *There is an electrical issue on the left side of the trailer. Sometimes the left taillight/blinker works, sometimes it doesn't. Same with the fireplace - sometimes it puts out heat, sometimes it doesn't. UPDATE 7-15-2019 I continue to have significant issues with my 5th wheel: *Neither heater nor AC work....... both have 32 degrees on the thermostat and will not change, neither the furnace nor the AC will turn on. I am freezing at night and roasting during the day. *Water System Issues.... something's wrong.... o When I flushed the tanks, the cupboard on the floor between the sleeper sofa and the fireplace, (above where water connection is on the outside of the trailer) flooded; o There is no water pressure in the kitchen.... bathroom sink and shower are fine, but the kitchen sink stream is smaller than/less than the bathroom sink; The water heater makes a grinding/whistle noise when I'm using hot water *The levers in the bed frame that are supposed to hold the mattress up do not work. Tried to get them to lock in place, they wouldn't. Now the hinged plywood covering the bed storage area is broken off from the hinges. *One of the black moldings on the bedroom slide-out wall is not properly attached - it flaps. *The fastener for the upper middle cupboard above the sleeper sofa was not properly attached and is hanging loosely. *Shower Issues: *The molding/sealant around the bottom outside of the shower was not properly applied.... nice and smooth in some spots but jagged and uneven in other spots; *Half of the shower floor has no support underneath it, *Missing screw cover .*The cardboard? under the propane tanks was not properly installed..hangs down and the propane hose hangs down below it. *Window screens are not securely in place and have gaps between the screen frame and the edge of the window; *The outside panel, between the bottom of the door and the top step is buckled and coming loose; *Front grey tank flap/handle might be bent....it is very difficult to open and close (from day one); *Bamboo sink covers - one is split in half *The slide on the screen door was not attached properly, has popped out and the screen is unraveling. I contacted Bretz RV in Missoula, MT. It would be a few months to get an appointment & I would have to pay for everything up front. They have horrible reviews and I don't trust them to perform repairs correctly. I work a full-time job and do not have time to take photos of everything that is wrong (some of these issues can't be photographed). Nor do I have access to funds to pay for a diagnostic review.... there are WAY TOO MANY ISSUES. Please send this up the chain of command to someone that has the authority to help me. Please find a company that will work on repairs, under warranty and not require me to pay up front. OR find one of your employees that would like a vacation in MT and have them tow a replacement up here OR hire someone to transport it These are huge, significant issues. If anyone in your company says they are not, I'll see them in court. Please help me......I have no other options.

We were kept appraised of the timeline as work went along. Although it took a little while due to supply chain issues in the RV industry here in Elkhart, it was WELL WORTH the wait. Our rig looks brand new. It's a beautiful job well done. We wouldn't hesitate to drive a distance to come back to Allegiant for any future repairs or service needs. Although it's a small shop, it's mighty. The staff is professional, courteous, and well skilled in dealing with any repair or body issues you might have with your RV. If you read the reviews on Google, they are a 5 star company in Middlebury, IN, and we can't say enough about how well we were treated and how beautiful our rig looks. We left a positive review there, too, we are so grateful for the awesome job you did. Thank you, to Tony, and the professional skilled people you have working for you. My wife and I loved the area and plan to pass through again one day. The service desk has been consistently respectful & helpful but although the sales staff was nice they were also condescending at times. I understand that the manufacturer is responsible for the build quality and components used but I did ask for the camper to be inspected for issues weeks before arriving and I was told that was part of their process. The camper had a few defects... hot water heater needs to be replaced bc it's leaking, slide topper needs to be replaced bc it's sagging and holding water and the biggest issue is that the slides leaked all the way home. When we arrived at home, the kitchen floor had a puddle of water on it because all the slides have a hole exposed in the bottom corners. I specifically asked for a service tech to inspect the slides before we arrived and they were obviously not inspected. We decided to upgrade the batteries because we were told they were AGM, only to find out they were flooded when we got home. When I discovered that they were flooded I called to ask what's going on and found out that they don't sell AGM batteries at all. To their credit they did issue a full refund but this revealed a lack of knowledge by the staff. We did receive a very thorough overview of the camper but we can't remember his name. We learned a ton of things about our new camper and even things about our existing camper we didn't know. We were very grateful for the walkthrough. They also did a great job sealing the roof. I just wish they put the same effort in making sure the slides didn't leak. Due to these defects we were only able to use the camper for 1 trip since the purchase because it's been sitting at a dealer in Raleigh waiting for the parts since mid September. We have decided to never buy another Rockwood and never buy another camper at this dealer.
