READ ALL THE YELP REVIEWS!!! Not 1 good review. Shauni's Google reviews are even worse!! SAVE YOUR HEALTH AND $$$. Go elsewhere!!! This practice is NOT closed but should be in my opinion. How someone like Shauni so incompetent can be in practice is beyond me. Went in with my elderly mom for a follow up of her Lab results and while at the appointment we requested a referral to Shasta Orthopedic due to my Moms hip and leg hurting and can't walk. Shauni was going over all my mother's meds. I raised a concern and asked Shauni why she changed one of my mom's meds to different formula. Shauni immediately blamed it on the pharmacy. My mother asked Shauni for a refill of her Alprazolam. Shauni refused to refill it, stating how she has NEVER prescribed it and it's no where in the prescription data base as being given to my mom. My Mom and Shauni continued to argue about the issue and I left the room. I wish I had my moms prescription bottle with us. I could've called Shauni right on the spot and proved how she gave my mom her last refill on 4/6/2025. (Photo attached) My mother is very forgetful and as her advocate Shauni was very agitated that I caught and called her on the prescription error and confirming that she in fact has refilled my mother's other prescription in the past. To the point Shauni asked me to be quiet that she is talking to my mother, not me! We got the X-ray order and left the office. We went to get the X-ray and had to go back to Shauni's office with a note from MD imaging stating that Shauni needs to be more specific on the area of my mom's right leg. Ex: r-hip, femur. We drove all the way back to Shauni's office with the x-ray order and note for Shauni to correct it. We got the corrected x-ray order went back to MD imaging and got refused again because she was not specific again and did not put down right hip, femur. Before we went back for the third time, we went to the pharmacy and got a print out (copy) showing that Shauni is the one who prescribed my mom the wrong medication that Shauni blamed the pharmacy on. We returned to Shauni's office for the 3rd time with the x-ray order for her to correct AGAIN!!! while there Shauni was right in the front office and I showed her the printout from the pharmacy where she ordered the wrong prescription. Shauni became rude towards me, shoved the paper back towards me, saying the pharmacy messed up and didn't even look at it. She then told me I'm not allowed to come back in with my mother anymore. I then handed her the x-ray order and told her she needed to correct it for the third time and maybe she can get it right this time. At this point, I knew I was never gonna have my mother return here again. We left and never got the corrected x-ray order. We went to the lab and got a print out of my moms lab results which showed she has high Glucose and BUN / Creatinine Ratio readings. Shauni never addressed or even looked at my mother's lab results which is why we were there in the 1st place!!!! The practice has a BIG turn around with employees which does not surprise me!!! Our day ended extremely blessed with a new appointment with a new provider for my mother. read more

The way they treat patients here is absurd! Was charged $188 for a visit, I was reassured by them specifically that I was covered for and a week later was charged. Went in there to explain that I am a 47 yr old critical congestive heart failure patient that almost died 2 years ago that was forced into permanent disability and had no $ to pay them this $ and not one care in the world. Was told by Mrs. Williams that I was a very complex patient that required them to charge me anyway! Absolutely ridiculous. Will NEVER return here again nor have anything good to say. Was very abrupt and impatient with me in the exam and questioned my disability. Definitely no bedside manner or care for anyone's issues. Just trying to make a buck on whoever she can trap. Everything needs improvement! I was really hopeful after my initial appointment. Shaunie seemed attentive, and genuinely concerned about my health. It didn't take long to get a clear picture of how this office is run and the actual care or lack of that I would be provided. The following issues occurred as her patient. 1. Ordered the wrong scan three times. 2. Referred to incorrect specialist and never attempted to locate the correct type. 3. Also, referred to another specialist for a separate issue and that Dr. who does not address my condition. 4. Her office hours were sporadic during the winter holidays. Do to the lack of availability, my only recourse was to go to ER twice. 5. Given the afore mentioned listed, and after several months of continuous pain and frustration, I made the decision to leave the state to get the Healthcare I needed. 6. Within three and a half weeks, I visited several specialists, had several scans, received correct meds., and returned home in amazing health! So, would I recommend Shaunie? Absolutely not! read more

Bottom of the bucket. Sorry if you have to accept this because no one else is accepting new patients. I saw Shauni for a referral for a ct scan 3 weeks ago and she said she would send it over. Here I am 3 weeks later waiting for a call back, so I call the imaging center and they haven't gotten anything. When I called Shasta Primary, they are telling me they won't be able to send over the referral for another couple of weeks. Absolute garbage. read more

I WOULDNT LET HER GROOM MY DOG!...After many months of arguing over unattended referrals and surgeons requests for simple signature approvals I've left. She takes no responsibility for her inactions while messages go unanswered. Rest assured, you will receive a hefty bill leaving her office before you reach your doorstep upon leaving. I was looking for a new primary doctor so I scheduled an appointment with shasta primary care. I didn't even step foot in the building and I got a $75 bill for no show. However they called me and asked to reschedule the appointment. read more

$435 for a 20 minute appointment to establish primary care. My son, a healthy 25 yo, paid $300. As you all probably know, it's nearly impossible to find an in-network physician accepting new patients even with good insurance (state employee). When I called Shasta Primary Care, I was told they are out of network (which I knew) and the visit would cost between $150 and $237. I went ahead with the appointment, Shauni and staff seemed friendly, and the office was clean. She wanted me to make an appointment for two weeks later to discuss lab results, which I thought should be a phone call instead of another $150 office visit. I was leaving on vacation, so scheduled for six weeks later instead. While we were gone, the bills came. $435 for me and $300 for my son. I called billing to ask about the extra charges. They didn't know anything. I called the office. They said they would have Shauni call me. Her explanation was $150-$237 is just a down payment for the visit. Again these were 15-20 minute visits. I said I thought it was very misleading in the way it was presented and she said she would talk to staff about it to be more clear about the cost up front. That was in May. Fast forward to today. I gave the office a call just to see what they say they charge for an office visit for new patients. "$150 to $237 maximum per visit until you meet your deductible then $150 per visit." So this doctor is out of my network and my husband and I paid our total payment each time. They supposedly bill your insurance as a courtesy. I left this doctor due to high cost and unable to afford it anymore and care was sub par at best. Now mind you my husband and I have the same insurance and we were told we were getting a refund due back. My husband got his and I haven't received mine found out today that they supposedly used it for something on my insurance but yet they don't take my insurance so how would my insurance pay. Sounds like someone doesn't know checks and balances and by the way her office visit is over $150.00 a visit. So I don't recommend you go to her unless you like throwing away money. WOULD BE ZERO STARS IF POSSIBLE. read more
