We had our front yard landscaped by Sharum's. We signed the estimate in August and after following up with them numerous times they finally started work in October. The work they did was not great; we had to replace the weed barrier the next year because they didn't lay it down correctly and most of the plants died. Used to enjoy going to the nursery, but even going there is ordeal. read more

I just bought a red mum from sharum's about 3-4 weeks ago. It still has not started opening except for a few. It looks dry and looks like it's dying but I have kept them watered. As you can see by the mums that I bought at another nursery are healthy and have or are opening beautiful. I will never buy from Sharum's again. I bought several roses from them last Spring all have thrived and are beautiful. They have very good prices and a huge selection of plants. The big box stores don't carry any roses except Knock Outs now, which I detest. They may not get blackspot but they are very prone to Rosette virus which is 100% fatal to a rose and spreads like wildfire. After losing more than half of the roses in my old garden to Rose Rosette disease, I swore I would NEVER have another Knock Out rose. I was also glad to see that the Knock Outs are separated from the hybrid teas, floribundas and shrub roses at Sharums. I am looking forward to Spring and buying more roses and other perennials. read more

I was just in there looking for succulents. Honestly thought the place was closed. I walk back to where the actual plants are kept and some older man (assuming a boss) was screaming for a woman employee. So I continue looking trying to ignore it and trying to honestly find a price on my plants but scared to bother an employee for the sake of them not getting in trouble. At one point we are right next to an employee and she has her head down just trying to do what this older man is screaming at her and the others to do. At this point we are about to walk out just because the lack of customer service and this older man is screaming again humiliating everyone and saying his employee screwed everything up and yelling at another one to come here. I heard so much good things about the plants here but I can't imagine my money going towards someone that mean and rude. read more

My husband and I bought a tree at Sharum's on June 5th to replace a tree that blew down in a storm. We were told the new tree would be brought and planted, as well as the old stump cut down, sometime in the next two weeks. I waited. No tree. By 5 PM on Friday, June 17, I still had no tree. Their two weeks were up. I called and was told they were running behind, but the tree would be delivered the next Tuesday or Wednesday. Tuesday and Wednesday came and went, and I still had no tree. So I called again on Thursday, June 23 and once again asked about my tree. The man I spoke to was rude. He told me it was not unreasonable for the delivery to take this long. Apparently he didn't believe that it was "unreasonable" to not show up when you say you're going to on three different occasions. Not only was I treated rudely, it took over three weeks to get my tree, and I fully believe it would have taken longer if I hadn't started calling every day. Apparently at Sharum's, once they have your money they don't care too much about giving you the product and service you paid for. To be fair I did (finally) get my tree. But I will never use this nursery again. It was not worth the hassle. read more
